Very nice environment in which to visit. Safe and efficient way to see relatives. Mum likes "the pod", and so do we!

In very difficult circumstances, both Mum and Dad (until he passed away in November 2020) have been very well cared for here. I have nothing but gratitude for the care and attention received by them. Specially compassionate over the time of Dads death.

It has always been reassuring knowing that Mum has been so well cared for at the Miramar. These last 12-months have been a difficult time for everyone. The team have exceeded themselves - keeping in touch with the family - arranging visits when possible. Good to know she has been kept safe and well.

My aunt has been at Miramar for nearly 7-years. She has always been treated with the utmost respect and courtesy. I have always been welcomed when visiting, and I am confident that my aunt is receiving the care and good company that she is entitled to at her time of life.

My parents joined The Miramar in 2019. They had a superb flat with a balcony and uninterrupted views of the sea. They enjoyed the high quality of the public rooms, the standard of food in the restaurant and, above all, the friendly and caring nature of the staff. When my father died, the compassion shown to my mother and the treatment of our whole family could not have been bettered. I will always be grateful for the support we were given at a very difficult time. My mother continued to live in the flat for over another year. During this time, her physical condition declined and, of course, there was Covid to deal with but the staff remained as kind as ever. Visiting, when allowed, was well managed and phone calls kept us in regular touch. A fall has meant that my mother has had to transfer to a home that is able to offer full nursing care. Moving out was like parting from old friends. We will miss everyone.

The staff are so caring and I can see that my mum appreciates them. Their level of expertise is also superb.

The Avery staff can be commended for their kindness and happy attitude to those in their care. I certainly would recommend to others to respite here.

I have been in this home for 6 years and I am very happy here.

The staff care about you, they look after you 24 hours a day. Never let me down. I enjoy the gardens, the meals and the company.

Mum regularly tells us that she has 'no regrets' about moving to Miramar. She settled in very quickly and particularly enjoys all the company, the activities, the wonderful food, the kind carers and the beautiful gardens. Thank you, everyone, for the love and support you have given Mum throughout these challenging times!

My mum is very happy at The Miramar Care Home. She was initially reluctant about becoming a resident just before lockdown this year. However she has nothing but praise for the staff and care she receives there and we haven’t seen her this happy in years despite the painful condition she suffers from. We are so grateful that we do not have to worry about her in these difficult times and that she is safe and happy.

I cannot praise the staff highly enough for all that they do, my Mother was admitted in lockdown thus making it very difficult for me to be involved in the settling in process, which added more stress to a very stressful situation, but the whole process was dealt with in a professional caring manner. Everyone has been extremely kind and thoughtful both to my Mum and to me, which has enabled us to feel well supported and confident in our choice of home.

Miramar staff have coped wonderfully during the pandemic to keep our relatives safe and entertained. We are most grateful for the care, patience and hard work they have provided in these difficult times. Families have been kept well informed with emails, phone calls and newsletters. We have appreciated the video calls and garden visits. Keep up the excellent work.

We were in need of more care for our mum and we requested a viewing at Miramar in Herne Bay. From that moment on we have had first class service and reassurance. So helpful and understanding, treating our mum with great respect. We are so relieved at this difficult time.

This was mum's 2nd visit for respite care, within 6 months and she came home with nothing but compliments about the staff and how friendly and caring they were to her during her stay.
