Warwick Park Care Home have been exemplary in their care for our mother. Who has sadly now died. The kindness shown to her by all the staff meant that after many years she was able to relax and enjoy the social aspect of living in a home, she felt safe and secure, and she was indeed extremely well cared
for. She loved having her hands massaged and new nail varnish applied, she was always eager to show us the new colour, the many functions they put on were very much enjoyed by her, and us when we could attend, (we were always made welcome). The home was always spotlessly clean, fresh-smelling, and generally well-kept.
We would especially like to thank all the staff who went above and beyond in keeping her comfortable and pain-free. Thank you.

My husband went to Warwick Park for palliative care. During his short stay we couldn't fault the care given to him. The home was clean and the staff were very organised. Nothing was too much trouble. I would score the home 10/10. We would like to say thank you for the care and compassion shown at a
very difficult time.

My wife transferred to Warwick Park from Pembury Hospital to continue her recovery from a broken leg. I was very impressed by the high standard of care she received and she was always complimentary about every member of staff. The chef quickly learned what she liked to eat and aimed to provide this.
Two hospital appointments were arranged very efficiently. Her dirty clothes were washed and returned promptly with the minimum of fuss.

As mentioned below it is a caring lovely home. However having visited regularly last year, this I wonder if having a coffee/tea/water station in the foyer would be a good idea. It would allow visitors to make tea/coffee/water and maybe have little packets of biscuits for their loved ones and for themselves,
making it a more personal visit without having to disturb staff. Like they have in hospital.

My mother had a short stay at the Warwick Park Care Home following a short stay in hospital. On entering the home Mum was anxious and tense because it was somewhere new after a shock stay in hospital but within a couple of days, she relaxed, was less anxious and began to go back to her old self. All
the staff from the cleaners to the kitchen staff to the carers and the nurses and managers took care to treat all the residents with care, affection and respect. She was extremely well looked after and enjoyed her activities in the lounge with the other residents. The highlights of her stay were the summer and disco parties, with barbeque and singer, which the relatives were also invited to. We all had great fun dancing the afternoon away. I am very grateful to everyone for supporting Mum in her time of crisis, Thank you.

My mum moved from another home which we all experienced as below par and whilst the staff did an adequate job it always felt like they didn't really care. At Warwick Park the atmosphere was utterly different. It has a warm atmosphere, the staff are always polite, friendly and compassionate. Everyone
showed care and respect, both to Mum and to us when we visited.
Communication with us was excellent and they kept us updated on Mum's condition at every stage. I was very relieved when Mum moved to Warwick Park, our experience was consistently positive.
Thank you.

Warwick Park Care Home looked after my mother in the last year of her life when she was suffering from the last stages of dementia.
Warwick Park looked after her very well indeed. In particular, the staff were friendly and patient under sometimes frustrating circumstances.
Whenever I visited (without
notice) Mum was smart, clean and cheerful.
It was easy to talk to the staff about Mum's condition and care.
I think it would have been hard to find a better home for mum.

My wife who was living with dementia received superb care from all staff members during her 13-month stay. They engaged with her in the most loving and patient way and she was made as comfortable and settled as was possible in her condition. Her clothing was always clean and the whole building was well-maintained,
clean and fresh. I would strongly recommend Warwick Park Care Home to anyone seeking a place for a relative.

I have been in the home for almost five years. The home is kept clean, my room is hoovered every one or two days and the carpet is cleaned regularly. The food is important to me, the food and meals are generally very good. Sometimes it is cold when it arrives in my room. I work with the activities coordinator
which I enjoy. All the carers are very good.

Warwick Park Care Home is providing exceptionally good care for my mother, who has frontotemporal dementia. Mum is always pleased to see the carers at the end of our family's very regular visits (almost daily). I am frequently moved at the time, patience, engagement and love shown to my mother - they
really care. The home is always clean, fresh and free from the odours we found elsewhere. The senior management team is very 'on it' and present. The policy allowing visits whenever suits is extremely helpful and works on so many levels. The home is literally a converted home and is therefore set up with everything close at hand - no long corridors. I very highly recommend it.

A wonderful home. The care team are amazing. Nothing was too much. My father-in-law was very poorly when he came out of the hospital, but the staff looked after him with great compassion and skill and he improved dramatically. It allowed us to have some special times with him. Can't recommend enough.

My mother was always very reluctant to go into a care home, wanting to remain independent in her own home. This she was able to do right up to the last two weeks of her life. In May 2019 she went into hospital, not for the first time, and we knew that she would not be able to return home. With the help
of social services, we discovered Warwick Park. What a Godsend at a very difficult and worrying time. From my first visit, it felt the perfect place for her. I was met by the Activities Co-ordinator whose warm, sunny disposition made me feel instantly at home. Luckily a room was available - a light bright room with a view of the garden, and arrangements were made very quickly. For the duration of her short stay, my mother was looked after so well. I felt all her needs were met and that she was in very safe hands which was a huge relief to us. All the staff were kind, caring and attentive and we could not have wished for a better place for her to end her days. I highly recommend Warwick Park.

After a tricky start, Mom is now beginning to settle at Warwick Park. So far, the care I have witnessed is very good and the nursing and care staff are very patient with her. Top marks must go to the Activities Coordinator, she is so motivational and inspiring. Such an asset to the home.

Current Review Score: 9.2 (9.174)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.2 (9.174) out of 10 for Warwick Park Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 5 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.3 out of 5 from 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.893 for Warwick Park Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (50 Excellents x 5) + (6 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 56 Ratings = 4.893
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.281 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Warwick Park Care Home is based on 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.5
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 32 registered maximum number of service users is 6.4. 5 Positive Reviews ÷ 6.4 = 0.781
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
