The staff at Warwick Park are very friendly and attentive. They kept us informed of mum's behaviour, eating habits and mood. I cannot praise the staff enough. The home is so clean and everyone was so caring. Mum enjoyed it here. Excellent all round.

Kind and careful, all personal care has been provided and not causing me embarrassment.
At night, only one nurse offered me a soapy cloth to complete my hygiene.
Was provided a whistle style to collect us to the well-furnished sitting room and placed where we could sit next to a favourite companion
with challenges that each one can attain.
Thank you all of Warwick Park

We looked at four other homes before deciding on placing our mum at Warwick Park. The home has undergone major works and looks lovely. What made the decision for us was the atmosphere. You feel like you are in a home rather than a big hospital. It was the staff that made the atmosphere, they are all
so caring and obliging. We know mum is very happy there.

The hospital facilitated my transfer with straps and a damaged permanently left shoulder which makes using a Zimmer frame impossible.

There has been no follow up to the clinic by the hospital so hopefully, the home will phone on my behalf.

The home is very well-run with staff who are competent

and very compassionate.
Reply from Sam Gregory, Director at Warwick Park Care HomeDear Sue, our activities programme continues to evolve but was recently rated excellent by the independent body Healthwatch. Also, our fees are very competitive for the area, and we provide high quality refurbished or newly built rooms. Your fees were also covered by the NHS enablement team.

My mother was treated with great kindness and care during her time at Warwick Park Nursing Home. The staff are wonderful, nothing was too much and the building is excellent (once finished). I will miss the people there and will always be grateful mum's last months were there.

The staff made my mother's last few weeks very comfortable. Everyone was friendly and caring to her, and to me. The room was spacious, clean and well laid out . I could not have asked for a better place for her.

I came to Warwick Park from another care home - the bed is very good and plenty of it, staff are lovely and very kind. When I came to Warwick Park I was not able to walk but I can manage 3-4 yards now. Staff take me out for a walk down to the pantiles and up to the park. I have been on several trips
which I always enjoy.

Narrow passages, tight corners and a very small lift make the building of limited usefulness to a wheelchair user. Most of the staff are foreign workers, some with only a limited command of English. Nevertheless, they are very kind, patient and caring in their approach and every effort is made to meet
individual needs. Food and drink are plentiful and usually, some choice is offered, quality variable but often very good.

I have been living here for a few months, the nurses are very kind, the food is good and other residents are quite nice and chatty. I like to watch others, knitting, painting and doing jigsaws. I go out for walks with staff and I nearly went on a trip on the riverboat but did not feel up to it on the
day. The pictures of the trip we lovely. I have put my name down for the next one.

I have been living here for a few months now. I moved from another care home which was very good and I was worried about the move but I should not have worried, the staff are really very good and caring. I like the activities we have, just come back from a lovely outing enjoying tea and cake whilst
out.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.608)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.608) out of 10 for Warwick Park Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 11 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 11 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.833 for Warwick Park Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (105 Excellents x 5) + (21 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 126 Ratings = 4.833
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.775 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Warwick Park Care Home is based on 11 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 = 3.775
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 32 registered maximum number of service users is 6.4, which has been reached with 11 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

I have been a nurse for almost 20 years, and throughout my journey, I have gained experience across many areas of care. However, my heart has always been with palliative and end-of-life care. It is a privilege to support individuals and their families during such meaningful moments, ensuring comfort, dignity, and compassion every step of the way.

I am proud to be part of our home’s family. Each day, I am inspired by the dedication of every department working together with a shared purpose: to make sure our residents are well cared for, safe, and truly loved. I am committed to supporting the continued growth of our home and to helping ensure that we provide the warmth, respect, and high-quality care our residents deserve.

I have been working at MG Homes since 2020. My role as Activities Coordinator is varied and life-affirming. Job Title: Facilities Administrator Joined: 2013

I moved back from Wales over ten years ago and wanted to get a job so I could use my property maintenance skills. For 10 years, I worked as a Maintenance Manager at MG Homes. I love my job; it gets me involved with the residents, and I am happy to contribute to their well-being by keeping their rooms nice and tidy.

My best achievement so far is receiving compliments from residents and their families about the appearance of both homes, communal areas and residents' bedrooms. I have recently moved into the position of Facilities Administrator, and there is a lot of administrative work behind the maintenance. I continue to enjoy my work and improving the lives of residents.
