Finding a care home for the first time is so daunting, my Dad had very specific needs covering dementia + mobility and as a family the decision to choose a care home was a very emotional experience. Copper Beeches ticked every box, especially to receive home made scones + tea when we arrived.
- Fantastic + kind care staff
- Great food
- Cleanliness
- Gorgeous room newly refurbished

We could not wish for more for our beloved Dad.

My beloved Uncle was placed at Copper Beach this summer. Overall my uncle is very content which is really important. I love the fact it's so inclusive regardless of mobility and how interactive staff are. I'm confident my uncle is safe and is being well looked after which is so important when trusting someone with the care of a loved one.

All the carers, nurses and general staff are always friendly.
We talk to everyone and listen to how they have reacted and responded to our mum. We know she talks to them as the staff tell us information that is not generally known, memories from a long time ago. They have managed to get mum to join in colouring activities, taken photographs of mum smiling while doing so, which we have shared with other relatives. This was particularly good for us as mum has rarely joined in with such activities.
We genuinely believe that the staff care about mum's welfare and happiness.
We are very happy that mum is being looked after at Copper Beeches, when we visit her, the interaction she has with the staff is very comforting to us.

The staff are her extended family, and to a point, ours too.

Reply from Andrea Vinten, Head of Communications at Copper Beeches Care Home

We thank you and appreciate you taking the time to share your kind words, which are valued greatly by our care team at Copper Beeches. We are so happy that your Mum joins in with colouring and other activities and are delighted to see that the relationship she has with the care team is of great...

Our lovely mum has been in Copper Beeches for 2 years now. We visit weekly, sometimes, more and have always found the staff welcoming and friendly. The food is very good and mum's room is clean. Yes, the building needs some upgrades, but the staff make up for that ten-fold. If there has been a problem, which has been very few and far between, it is dealt with as soon as possible. Mum has dementia and appears comfortable and settled, she is treated with dignity and respect. The staff genuinely care about the residents and that is the most we can hope for.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Always quick to react to medical care changes.
Lots of decorating being done in the communal areas. The rooms are basic and probably need to be refreshed.

I know that residents are safe and happy.

Happy with mums care the staff look after her well. The rooms are dated and need refurbishment, can't comment on the activities as mum is no longer involved. Mum seems to enjoy the food. Overall we are happy.

When visiting care home for approval my sister and myself found the staff to be very welcoming and helpful. They answered all of our questions and gave extra advice.
When our father was admitted to the home, we found that all the staff were very caring and approachable.

Although the building could do with some upgrading, the staff keep the rooms and residential lounges very clean.

My overall experience of this care home and its staff, even though only a week. Has been extremely positive for myself, my husband and my mother-in-law. Staff were extremely polite, friendly, welcoming and had a great deal of empathy towards my mother-in-law and myself and husband. My mother-in-law was treated with the utmost dignity and respect, nothing was too much trouble. Even managing to get my mother-in-law out into the communal area was something really positive as she had been on bed rest for nearly 2 months. In the time leading up to her passing, she became more aware and even recognised her son. Which she hadn't done in the hospital. The staff made us aware of anything and everything to do with my mother-in-law. Her passing was very peaceful, dignified and relaxed within the home which was all we could ask for. She was a person and not a number. Very highly recommended.

My Auntie is in Copper Beeches and every time we have visited, the staff have always been really helpful and friendly and really do seem to care about the resident's wellbeing. My Auntie has been in several care homes and this one is by far the best in my opinion and I would highly recommend it.
