My father has lived here for four years now and he has always been looked after well. He is happy and settled. All the staff, from the manager down, are caring and friendly. I am really glad that I managed to get him a place here.

Mum was regarded as a family member.
Always treated with loving kindness and respect.
Such are the high standards of this 'home'.

I was able to find peace of mind for having broken a promise to never placing mum into care.

It was an absolute pleasure to care for your remarkable mother - she brightened our day, every day and is greatly missed by us all.

Many thanks also for the unstinting support you and your family gave to my team and I throughout your mums stay.

After 6 months of struggle to find the right care home for my brother who has aggression problems, I found Grace Manor. Since doing do, my brother has calmed down and a great deal, he still has bad days but they manage him well always going the further mile. I can you have my life back, their care, food, and all the things they do for the residents to make the home their home as much as they can. The best home, I could not wish for more.

Thank you very much for the lovely review. It's true that many of our residents improve when they have been at Grace Manor for a while - we aim to give a stress-free, fun life to everyone in our care. Sometimes a nursing home can be the right and positive choice. We have wonderful relatives also who support each other, the home and me personally.

The care that my father receives at Grace Manor is - in my hand on heart opinion - outstanding.
My dad became a resident at the end of March following a very traumatic 13-week stay in a hospital.
He arrived at Grace Manor confused, upset and unsettled. His stay in hospital had taken this man to the edge of end of life, and if I am honest, none of us knew what to expect.
ALL of the staff at Grace Manor have welcomed my dad with open arms. He is treated with huge respect, dignity and understanding. Like most daughters, my dad is 'my rock', and all I could ever want for him would be the best. This is what Grace Manor gives to him.

I am kept regularly informed on how my dad is, if he has been unwell or if he requires anything. Grace Manor have an open door policy and I am able to visit my dad whenever I would like, and always to a lovely welcome from the staff. The food is delicious, and I regularly enjoy a meal with my dad. Thank you, Grace Manor, from the bottom my of heart.

After it became apparent that mum could not manage to live in her own home and we were unable to provide the support she needed. It was such a relief fo find Grace Manor a care home where we were happy for mum to stay in a safe, friendly and caring environment that can provide all the help she needs. Mum has settled in and is happy.

Grace Manor exceeds above and beyond my expectations of the quality of care I had expected when my dad was no longer able to look after himself in his own home. He even praises it himself which, as a resident, is extremely lovely to hear. I have never visited when any of the carers are unhappy and nothing seems to be too much trouble for any residents or their relatives.

I give it a hundred per cent for everything.

Reply from Jane Cleverley, Manager at Grace Manor Care Centre

Dear Karin - when your dad was admitted the care staff personally thanked me for admitting such a lovely gentleman. Both you and his former neighbour are a joy to have in the home. Thank you all so much for all the support you give to me, the care team and Grace Manor - it is greatly appreciated by all of us every single day.

My mother is a resident at Grace Manor Care Centre. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I feel mum is safe and well cared for. It was her birthday recently and the day was made really special for her when one of the health care workers baked her a birthday cake in her own time. I would recommend Grace Manor Care Centre to anyone needing nursing care.

My mother died December 23rd 16 at this nursing home after approx 4 years stay. I have nothing but praise for this home. From the manager, nursing/caring staff to the custodians. I have always felt a warm welcome on visits. This is a well run, beautifully decorated, happy unit. There are friendly, caring staff who are always professional. Thank you for all you did for my mother. I shall be eternally grateful.

Dad was at Grace Manor for one and a half years. He had Parkinsons and dementia. The staff were so kind, articulate, caring and always popped into his room to chat to him, make jokes with him and so caring towards my mum and myself. Even when he passed away, they washed him which saved him some dignity in his death. We still go and visit them all.

Grace Manor is a lovely care home. The staff are all very friendly, polite and caring. My mother is always well looked after and is happy and content living there. It is bright and airy with very comfortable furnishings. My mother's room has a lovely aspect overlooking a courtyard. Her room was already nicely decorated but her Key Worker took the time to personalise it to my mother's taste by putting up new wallpaper and a fresh coat of paint. The home is kept very clean, the food is freshly cooked and there is a variety of activities and entertainment laid on each day. The overall feel is like a comfortable country hotel.

Whatever time I visit, my mother looks cared for, clean and comfortable. The staff are always cheerful, thoughtful and caring, even when dealing with challenging behaviour. I was particularly touched when they bought each resident a personal and appropriate Christmas present, which showed their attention to each resident as an individual.
My mother has paper thin, friable skin but it has always remained intact despite her immobility, which is a tribute to the high standard of care. I never have any concerns when I leave her as I feel she is in good hands
The layout of the manor house allows residents to sit in lots of different areas, which they are encouraged to do, which gives it a very normal, homely feel, unlike many care homes where residents are all left in one large lounge.
The staff go to a lot of trouble to organise special events in addition to the regular activities and entertainment.

Visitors are always welcome at any time of the day or night, and I always feel at home.

The staff are very good and friendly and look after my mother very well. The home is always spotlessly clean including rooms, facilities etc. The residents are treated with dignity and are cared for well. The rooms are checked regularly. The food and drink provided are of a very good standard. It's definitely worth the money. The activities are good!

My husband is well-cared for and usually comfortable. His room is pleasant and warm and he is well fed. The staff are cheerful and welcoming and friendly. For those who can take advantage of them, there seem to be plenty of activities arranged. The other residents appear happy. The house itself is clean and attractively laid out. I particularly like the little upstairs sitting area. Visitors are always made to feel welcome.

All my life I wanted to care for older adults and make a difference in their life. Becoming a home manager was the ultimate way to do so. However, being a home manager is so much more than looking after older adults and I realised that looking after your staff is paramount to delivering good quality care. Creating an open and honest culture with staff, recognising their achievements and actively engaging, supporting staff and valuing staff is paramount. If you have a happy and content staff team, you have happy residents. I believe a manager should be a great role model who is passionate, hands-on and motivated with a great sense of humour.

Grace Manor Care Centre is our older adult’s home, we are proud of our warm and welcoming environment, and we will always be here for a chat. It is important that both our older residents and their families are included and feel at home. It is always the highlight of my role to see these residents smiling and laughing again.
