Welcome to Grace Manor Care Centre in Gillingham, Kent. Situated on stunning grounds, the classic Manor property offers 24-hour care for those over the age of 55. They are blessed with a long-serving team of nursing and support staff that provide high-quality, person-centred care within a homely environment. They offer long-term, respite and post-operative care and particularly cater for those living with Dementia.

The well-kept care centre comprises 57 bedrooms, 12 of which make up the Dementia unit. A portion of the bedrooms is equipped with an en-suite W.C. and a hand basin. They encourage residents to furnish their new surroundings with familiar pieces of furniture and personal possessions to make them feel truly at home. While the bedrooms provide a tranquil area to rest and relax, the home's cosy sitting rooms and dining room offers residents the opportunity to catch up with friends over a pot of tea, enjoy one of the guest entertainers or simply recline in front of their favourite films.

At Grace Manor, they encourage residents to take part in a range of engaging activities based on their lifestyle needs and preferences. Many of the activities take place within the home environment and include art, handicrafts, visiting entertainers, quiz nights as well as garden parties and summer barbecues. The team empowers individuals to enjoy those everyday routines they cherish, whether that’s having a salon blow-dry and manicure or keeping up to date with their favourite sports. All are encouraged and available. Residents enjoy shopping days as well as seasonal trips to the seaside.

Grace Manor's professional catering team delivers nutritionally balanced meals that are appealing to its residents. The home's professional food suppliers specialise in delivering high-quality food designed specifically for the healthcare sector.

My mother died December 23rd 16 at this nursing home after approx 4 years stay. I have nothing but praise for this home. From the manager, nursing/caring staff to the custodians. I have always felt a warm welcome on visits. This is a well run, beautifully decorated, happy unit. There are friendly, caring
staff who are always professional. Thank you for all you did for my mother. I shall be eternally grateful.

My Mother-in-law has since come to live at Grace Manor. The staff are wonderful and very friendly and patient. The whole atmosphere is like one big home. She is very happy, going from strength to strength and well looked after. They also look after us.

I have been visiting my friend for the last 3 years and I must say how impressed I am with the changes that have been made. The home is nicely decorated, warm and welcoming. I have found the staff very caring, helpful and friendly.

Dad was at Grace Manor for one and a half years. He had Parkinsons and dementia. The staff were so kind, articulate, caring and always popped into his room to chat to him, make jokes with him and so caring towards my mum and myself. Even when he passed away, they washed him which saved him some dignity
in his death. We still go and visit them all.

Grace Manor is a lovely care home. The staff are all very friendly, polite and caring. My mother is always well looked after and is happy and content living there. It is bright and airy with very comfortable furnishings. My mother's room has a lovely aspect overlooking a courtyard. Her room was
already nicely decorated but her Key Worker took the time to personalise it to my mother's taste by putting up new wallpaper and a fresh coat of paint. The home is kept very clean, the food is freshly cooked and there is a variety of activities and entertainment laid on each day. The overall feel is like a comfortable country hotel.

Whatever time I visit, my mother looks cared for, clean and comfortable. The staff are always cheerful, thoughtful and caring, even when dealing with challenging behaviour. I was particularly touched when they bought each resident a personal and appropriate Christmas present, which showed their attention
to each resident as an individual.
My mother has paper thin, friable skin but it has always remained intact despite her immobility, which is a tribute to the high standard of care. I never have any concerns when I leave her as I feel she is in good hands
The layout of the manor house allows residents to sit in lots of different areas, which they are encouraged to do, which gives it a very normal, homely feel, unlike many care homes where residents are all left in one large lounge.
The staff go to a lot of trouble to organise special events in addition to the regular activities and entertainment.
Visitors are always welcome at any time of the day or night, and I always feel at home.

The staff are very good and friendly and look after my mother very well. The home is always spotlessly clean including rooms, facilities etc. The residents are treated with dignity and are cared for well. The rooms are checked regularly. The food and drink provided are of a very good standard. It's

My husband is well-cared for and usually comfortable. His room is pleasant and warm and he is well fed. The staff are cheerful and welcoming and friendly. For those who can take advantage of them, there seem to be plenty of activities arranged. The other residents appear happy. The house itself is clean
and attractively laid out. I particularly like the little upstairs sitting area. Visitors are always made to feel welcome.

Mum joined Grace Manor Care Centre in July 2016. She was happy, eating, drinking normally. She then started to decline didn't eat or drink for two months lost lots of weight. Things were touch and go. Through our all this the carers always kept me up to date on a day to day basis. Meetings were held
with necessary GP's etc. Mum, however, has turned a corner. She is now eating and drinking and is very happy again. I could not thank all the staff enough who work there for looking after mum and their communication.

The resident is my dear neighbour whom I looked after until he had to come to Grace Manor. I cannot fault this home at all. He is treated with great respect and dignity. The staff and management could not have helped us enough with anything we needed to know. I would recommend this home with 100% satisfaction.

I think Grace Manor Nursing Home in Gillingham is a wonderful place. My husband is very happy. The manager and all the staff are so caring and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. It's s wonderful environment. The room is just right, the gardens are lovely. There is always some sort of activity going
on. The actual care is first class.

All my life I wanted to care for older adults and make a difference in their life. Becoming a home manager was the ultimate way to do so. However, being a home manager is so much more than looking after older adults and I realised that looking after your staff is paramount to delivering good quality care. Creating an open and honest culture with staff, recognising their achievements and actively engaging, supporting staff and valuing staff is paramount. If you have a happy and content staff team, you have happy residents. I believe a manager should be a great role model who is passionate, hands-on and motivated with a great sense of humour.


Grace Manor Care Centre is our older adult’s home, we are proud of our warm and welcoming environment, and we will always be here for a chat. It is important that both our older residents and their families are included and feel at home. It is always the highlight of my role to see these residents smiling and laughing again.
