My mother recently passed away peacefully in the care home. The love and care shown to her was exemplary. She was almost 102 years old. She died with dignity, and as a family, we too were treated with love and respect during a difficult time. Abingdon Court Care Home even agreed to host the "Wake". which was perfect - although we made a donation, they refused to accept any other payment, such kindness, which is rare these days.

Excellent care. All my requests for my aunt were consistently met. Carers were loving and extremely kind.

My aunt cannot do anything for herself and the carers dressed her beautifully and kept her very clean. Even her dentures were put in and out (I've been to care homes where this hasn't been done). She also sat perfectly upright in her wheelchair. Thank you.

I came to view this home before my uncle arrived and was extremely pleased to see how many staff members were about, attending to the residents, all residents were happy and had a cup of tea. Very warm, friendly place. I saw the meals and they looked lovely, proper home-cooked.

Staff made me feel very welcome at any time of day. They were very helpful when I needed advice.

My mother stayed at Abingdon Court Care Home from January 2021 until she passed away January 2024 during her stay. I was extremely impressed with the kindness and compassion of all the staff who cared for Mum and also how kind they all were to me and my family. I cannot thank them enough or recommend the care home highly enough.

Although my mum was only a resident for a very short time, the care and compassion shown to both her and our family was fantastic. The staff are professional whilst warm and caring. Ensuring the dignity of the resident is at the forefront of their care.

My mum came to stay with Abingdon Court Care Home in July 2023. She had Alzheimer’s and was anxious and always unsettled.
The staff were always happy, supportive, compassionate and empathetic and were always there to help my mum.
After my visits, I always left the care home, knowing she was safe and was in the best hands.
Unfortunately, she passed away in November. Again the staff continued to be supportive of me and were lovely.

I cannot recommend Abingdon Court Care Home enough. Thank you.

My father died on 1st September and had spent 2 years and 3 months in the Care Home. From day one to the last, all members of staff that had supported my father were exceptional and obviously provided first-class caring throughout. I cannot thank them enough.
The only major downside was that the Government has gone absent without leave to support the caring sector. All staff deserve better and deserve the level of support that they gave my father in his last years.

He would not have lived to the age of 94 without the Care Home providing quality support. Thank You.

From the day my father entered the care home, the staff's care and professionalism were outstanding.
My father spent almost two years at Abingdon Court. His personal care was exceptional, and as his health deteriorated, the carers completed the tasks he was unable to do for himself. He loved a wet shave, and up to the day he died, this ritual was carried out!
The activities were all designed to help alleviate boredom, and Dad enjoyed joining in.
The staff went above and beyond in caring for him and loved to spend time with him chatting.
Would highly recommend this care home. We had a couple of previous experiences with not such happy results.
From the management at the top to the ancillary staff, it was excellent.

Thank you to everyone at the home.

My father lived to 101 and 5 months and I believe this is due to the care he had at Abingdon Court Care Home.
He was 99 when he went in for respite and stayed! He was so happy and cared for.
I was alwaus made very welcome and my frequent visits to him. I felt part of the family and still do. My father loved the staff.

The staff are lovely, genuine, caring people. Always ready to help and never mind giving you their time.

Last October. my mum moved here from another care home in her home town to be nearer to me (her son). She passed away on Saturday 29th July.
From the day she arrived, she was actively involved in the regular activities and in a matter of days her mental stimulation, quality of life and enjoyment were transformed.
The care she received brought her out of her shell and helped improve her mobility and she was soon able to visit me at home in her wheelchair and get back a semblance of normal life.
On every occasion that I raised a query or asked for something to be done, whether with the manager, the carers or the nurses, it was done.

I’m so grateful that she was able to end her days happy and in such a lovely environment. She really enjoyed her time here and it's left me with memories of her laughing and joking and talking to me about all of the activities she was involved in and the friends she had made.

Mum has been in the care of Abingdon Court Care Home now since last November and since mum arrived the management and care staff have welcomed mum with a high standard of love, care, dignity and empathy. Mum has vascular dementia and grieving the loss of her husband and change of accommodation all over a period of six months, the staff cannot be faulted in any way, they made this transition a lot easier than could have been expected. The care they are providing for my mum is excellent, myself and my sister are very grateful to them, they are wonderful people looking after my mum in a caring, professional way that makes this difficult situation a little easier as I am living outside the UK. Thank you to all management, nursing staff, carers and everyone involved in caring for my mum on behalf of myself and my sister and mum's daughter-in-law and grandchildren. Thank you, you're all heroes.

I have not commented on facilities and activities because I don't think my husband took part. Basically, I and all the family were overwhelmed by the care that was shown to all of us - we felt we mattered.

The staff could not have done more to make my friend feel happy and well cared for. They always let me know if there were any problems with her health and they had informed the GP. Towards the end of her life, the staff did everything to make her comfortable and included her in all activities.

Just want to say a huge thank you to Abingdon Court. My nan was in there for just under a year and she was dearly looked after. All the staff made me feel welcomed there and I could have not wished for a better care home than this one.

I will miss them all. Thank you.
