The home is really well run and the team work together day-in and day-out to do their best for the residents....
Huntercombe Hall is mum's home. The personalised care and energy and effort made to provide a good life is a consistent feature of mum's experience and we always feel welcome when we visit. The home is really well run and the team work together day-in and day-out to do their best for the residents. There is a strong community spirit which means that staff go the extra mile - most recently witnessed at the fabulous summer fete. I know mum is getting the best possible care and loads of opportunities to join in with positive community activities. Mum has been a resident for a number of years and we are so glad we chose Huntercombe.

The home is clean, well organised, and has a warm atmosphere. My husband entered Huntercombe Hall for end of life care at the end of October 2025. He died on 16th December. I visited him everday and the care he received was wonderful. I was happy to leave him every day knowing he would be looked after with kindness and professionalism. He had a lovely room which we were encouraged to personalise with pictures and plants, etc. Efforts were made to try to encourage him to eat the things he particularly liked, and his pain management was very good.
We are all so sorry for your loss. It was an honour and a privilege to be able to care for your husband at that point in his life, and we are glad that we able to give you some reassurance too that he was in good hands. My father goes through unsettled stages due to his disease progression and at times of illness, but at the moment he is happy, relaxed and well supported, which gives me great peace of mind.

Mum has been here for nearly 2 years. Staff retention means that almost all staff are permanent and longstanding. They all know Mum really well and are always kind and caring. I feel really pleased that mum is here, safe and looked after. The team put on lots of activities, and the food is great.

I bring over 13 years of clinical experience in healthcare, during which I have had the privilege of working in a variety of care settings. My background includes acute nursing, community care, palliative care, dementia care, and care management.
For the past 12 years, I have worked predominantly in nursing homes. Throughout my career, I have remained deeply committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care that truly enhances the lives of residents.
