Glebe House

The manager is always ready to listen to concerns and takes action immediately. My sister and I are so pleased to have found such an excellent home for our Mum. She is happy and content and enjoys the company of those around her.

I would definitely recommend Glebe House for the care of vulnerable loved ones.

Mum has been a resident for three years. From the very start she has been treated with respect and patience. It is a well-managed home which shows in every aspect of life there. We feel lucky that Glebe House was recommended to us.

My father was moved to Glebe House for physio and rehabilitation after a loss of mobility resulting in a short hospital stay. The care home itself is a lovely calm environment. The staff are friendly and incredibly helpful. They have gone the extra mile to understand my dad's needs - asking lots of questions and helping with many things so that he is as comfortable as possible. Any time the family has had a query or a request we have contacted the home and they have acted upon it right away. On top of all of this the staff are very nice to be around and create a caring, loving and fun environment for everybody. I've visited a number of care homes and Glebe House stands out from the crowd.

I can never thank Glebe House Nursing Home enough for their care of my mother in her final days and for my family. They were so respectful and caring to my mother and supportive of me, her daughter. I was allowed to stay in my mother's room in her final days and hours and I, and my family, wanted for nothing, allowing me to just concentrate on being there for my mother. My mother was a resident there for four years. The staff became my second family.

The food can be good but individual need/wants were not always available only when asked for, different/more interesting food is given (it seems).

A homely environment but like many, I have been unable to go into the home,e (apart from the conservatory) since March 2020. Sadly that is when my father became a resident, so I have been unable to go into his room since he started to stay there.

Professional service but caring at the same time. I can relax because I know that my dad is being looked after in a kind and courteous way.

The staff at Glebe House made my mum's short stay a happy one, even though she did not want to be in a home. She could not praise them enough for their cheerful and friendly staff, who were always so helpful. Excellent food and plenty of it.

I was very comforted for the wonderful care and understanding given to my husband.

My mother spent the last few weeks of her life being cared for at Glebe House. Although visiting was restricted due to COVID, we were impressed by how helpful the staff were in arranging things for us. Mum said she felt safe and cared for by the kind staff. We were happy that the management kept in touch with us.

Our sisters six years at Glebe House was a happy time for her as they made her feel it was her home with such loving care. We would recommend this home to anyone.

A welcoming, well-managed and caring environment for residents at Glebe House. The staff show great kindness and respect, the residents are clearly their first priority and are treated with tremendous patience and empathy. Communication with a resident's family is immediate if the need arises. Safe and welcoming care home. I would recommend Glebe House to anyone seeking care for a relative.

The home was always clean and tidy. Fresh flowers and linen on tables all the time. Any repairs or work needed to maintain the home was carried out to a high standard. Laundry was done well and everything was neat and tidy. Personal care was carefully done and with dignity. The gardens were always full of flowers. Entertainment was always arranged for the residents even during lockdown there was Zoom entertainment as well as things the staff arranged.

The food is very good and enjoyed by all.

My mother was cared for in an excellent manner. We both received wonderful support.

I want to thank the staff for all their support both to my uncle but also to his sons. They have been so kind to them during this difficult time, we couldn't have asked for better. Thank you so much!

My mum said she was glad to be there. They made her very welcome, staff were very nice, helpful and always around when needed. The food was very good and the garden was beautiful. Staff were attentive.

My Mother spent a week in Glebe House for some respite care. Aged 92 she is fit and healthy but was feeling jaded after the long winter and decided she needed a bit of cossetting. She found the facilities, staff, care and food, as well as her accommodation to be excellent. Her general level of alertness and good health meant that her conversation and interaction with other less robust residents was very compromised but that in no way reflects on the home, more highlights how well she is.
