After such a difficult year with COVID I can only offer extreme praise for the care my mum has received. She has remained happy and well despite having fewer visits from the family. Management of COVID within the home with regard to visiting has also been excellent. Thank you all.

My husband has now been a resident in Leighton House for nearly three years and in that time the staff, whatever their role in his care, have faced the challenges of the progression of his illness and the COVID pandemic with professionalism, dedication, and informed understanding.

They have throughout continued to provide a safe and protected environment for him, regular consultation and communication with me, and care and support for both of us. He could not be in a better place amongst a team of better or more caring people.

I am extremely grateful for the care and support my mother received. She became content and relaxed and let go of her previous anxiety once she settled in at Leighton House. I am sure this is because her needs were being met which brought us great comfort. The kindness of the staff was appreciated by all the family as well as my mother. Thank you.

My husband was at Leighton House for 3 years prior to his death in February 2020. Without question, all the staff care about their residents. I witnessed many acts of kindness. Not just to my husband and family but to many others. The facilities are appropriate for the type of resident and the activities went from strength to strength. Our heartfelt thanks.

My experience of my husbands stay in your home is basically very good but it is extremely hard for me to comment 100% re. the challenging times we are presented with - hence many of the facilities were hardly able to be utilised by my husband as he was only in the home four months till his death - we were only able to visit the first month and unable to fully appreciate his overall care and life quality e.g, unable to see him enjoying gardens in fine weather or joining in with outside entertainment - the latter cancelled due to virus. The staff did their utmost best for him in unprecedented times, battling through horrendous care home/hospital covid 19 non-testing situation scandal.

Our mother was a resident at Leighton House for many years until her passing. We found all the staff very caring, supportive and courteous. Nothing seemed to be an issue or problem, they were always very helpful and willing to assist her with her everyday needs. All of us would like to take this opportunity of thanking you all for caring for our beloved mother.

Mum is treated with kindness and compassion in spite of her challenging behaviour. Staff are very professional and welcoming. She is cared for extremely well and I am kept informed by the nursing team and lead carer when required. Recent assessments have been carried out with full support. Mum is in the best place with all her needs being met. Thank you!

My mother has been at Leighton House for 3 years now and has received nothing but excellent care. The carers go above and beyond and nothing is too much trouble. Full marks for care, food, clean rooms and laundry service.

It feels like a family home not clinical at all.

Management and staff must be congratulated on all their hard work in organising and managing the summer party and Christmas lunch for both residents and friends.

Since Christmas, there has been a frequent breakdown of the lift which has put added pressure on both staff and management. The recent installation of a stair lift to alleviate the problem was most welcome.
