Since Mum moved into Tadworth Grove at the beginning of December, she has been made to feel welcome by the staff who are helpful, attentive and kind. Mum has mild dementia and her transition of moving into a care home was very quick and hard for her to come to terms with, but with the staff's help and encouragement, this transition was made much easier and smoother for her. I receive regular communications on the ever-changing Covid restrictions and feel that the home are doing everything to keep the residents safe, whilst still allowing families to visit and keep in touch regularly. So a huge thanks to all the staff for making this move easier for Mum. Also, a big thanks to the chefs/cooks as Mum seems to be eating much better now, with a variety of meals tailored to suit even her fussiness. I am very grateful for all their help.

From arriving at Tadworth Grove for the first time it was evident that Dad would be well cared for and treated with respect, love and dignity. The staff also took time to keep me informed of Dad's condition on a regular basis. Thank you to everyone at Tadworth Grove.

Mum has been a resident of Tadworth Grove for nearly 4 years now. I cannot praise the home enough for their professionalism, kindness, respect and care given to my Mum. I am always kept informed of any medical changes and communication on all aspects of my Mum's care is very good. Updates on visiting, during Covid, kept me reassured that residents were keeping safe when I could finally visit after many months. Many thanks to all staff in whatever capacity they work, as together, they have a lovely home to be proud of.

My experience was a very positive one. The team at Tadworth Grove provided our Dad with great care and kindness. He had very high needs for a lot of his two years stay, and right up to the end, I felt he was given all the care and attention he needed. The team at Tadworth Grove are very professional, approachable and caring. I definitely felt Dad was treated with respect and dignity.
Value for money; this is a really hard one to answer. I believe Dad received the care he needed, but it's difficult to say whether this was "value for money".
Dad paid in excess of £120,000 for his care over the last two years, but there were residents who paid nothing.
Not sure how it can be made to feel like a fairer system, but the "value for money" question is hard to answer when the costs for Dad were so high compared to others.
Had Dad paid nothing or had his costs heavily subsidised, I would say excellent value for money... but this wasn't the case.
Without understanding exactly when it costs to care for one resident in a care home, this is an impossible question and answer with a mark.

I cannot fault the care and kindness Dad received... but I will always feel it was expensive compared to costs incurred by others.

Mum is very happy living at Tadworth Grove; she says all the staff are lovely here, and she has a nice time. She likes the food a lot. We, as a family, are happy with all the care Mum receives, and communications between nurses and family are good. Overall, Mum has improved her general well-being whilst being at Tadworth Grove. I would recommend this home.

My mother used your facility for respite during 2019 and again in early 2020. Unfortunately, she passed away in April whilst receiving end of life care. She was on the first floor Willow and prior to her last stay on 2nd Floor. What wonderful caring staff you have. Through such a difficult time, I knew that she was in safe, caring hands when visiting was not allowed due to the lockdown. From nurses, care staff, cleaners, handyman, to reception and admin, thank you.

I am not in a position to judge full-time nursing care as my observation is of my husband's respite care. He spent about 5 months at Tedworth Grove. Laterly he was in hospital for about 5 weeks, where he became progressively weaker through the treatment given to alleviate the effects of progressive prostate cancer and more recently acquired infections and discomforts. He was still on oxygen when transferred to Tadworth Grove and died within 3 days, he was not expected to live for long. In my opinion, Tadworth Grove is a cheerful, caring home where every effort is made to make the residents comfortable and interested. Food is freshly cooked and attention given to individual tastes. The overall atmosphere is pleasant. One feels welcome and able to visit at any time. Considerable effort was made by management to transfer my husband to Tadworth as soon as possible after the hospital gave the go ahead and although his time there was short his pennultimate day was his best for months and made the transfer worthwhile and the loss more bearable.

This is the 1st time we used Tadworth Grove, it was extremely well run, staff excellent, hygienic and cleanliness was just perfect - better than another care home we had used in the past.

My mother went into the home for just one week's respite whilst I went on a much needed short break.

She was not looking forward to it but from the first day, she quickly settled, enjoying the care and attention she received. She is actively looking forward to going to stay again for another week in March, meaning I can leave her there guilt free knowing she is happy and being cared for in pleasant, friendly surroundings.

As a Deputy Manager and Registered nurse, I lead a professional team in providing the highest standards of care for up to 45 residents with varying needs.

I’m at my best when I’m caring for other people and I believe relationships are incredibly important, so I am personally involved in all of our residents’ everyday lives.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is improving lives by supporting residents and their families. Every resident we care for has a history and a story to tell and learning about their lives is a wonderful privilege.

Supporting and developing the team around me is also very important to me, as this enhances our residents’ lives and drives outstanding care.
