My mum has been a resident for a year now. She started with respite care and has now become a permanent resident. It took a little while with the support of the wonderful care staff to settle in but now she loves it and she is always happy and smiling. Without exception, every member of staff she has contact with is kind and caring. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is excellent. There are plenty of activities for those who want to join in. I would highly recommend this home to anyone.

I visited a friend who is a resident in the care home on 24/08/2023. Everyone was very friendly and helpful from the reception through to nurses and those in charge on the 2nd floor. It was a very clean home. I was offered refreshments and the resident himself told me it was very good in the home.

Due to a family celebration I have travelled from a care home in Muthill, Scotland. I am happy to say the staff here have treated me very kindly. Yesterday I went on an outing to Brighton. Very enjoyable. I have not been there for many years. Weather luckily was dry but very windy, we had a very nice lunch of fish and chips and mushy peas on the pier. On the journey home we had a sing a long, all in all a very enjoyable day.
Thank you for your kind review. We are pleased to hear that you are happy and that you had a lovely outing in Brighton. We hope to continue providing you with the best possible care.
Since being here I realise how lonely I was at home. Since being here I have made lots of friends and I am never lonely. There is always something to do; and if you want to do nothing that's okay.

Thank you for your feedback, we look forward to seeing you again soon. Thank you for choosing Tadworth Grove for your stays.
The staff at Tadworth Grove were all fantastic! My mother was very well cared for, and the food and drink were excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending this home to others. My only slight concern would be on the maintenance side. The toilet in my mother's room was very difficult to flush, the door handle was not properly fixed to the door, and Mum frequently had no towels to dry her hands - these issues were reported, but not resolved in the six months that she was a resident there. The overall standard of care is very high, and that is the more important - so 9.5 out of 10!
Thank you for your kind words. We are very happy to hear you could feel at ease with your mother in our care. We will discuss your feedback with the homes manager to help them continually improve their service. Please let us know if there is anything we could do to have made her stay as comfortable as possible.
I am disabled with no mobility having had brain surgery 22 years ago and more recently hip surgery. Because I will need a wheelchair, my carpets are being replaced with a wooden floor and so I came to Tadworth Grove for respite care while the work is done - I am 85 and was dreading coming into care, but to my surprise, I have really enjoyed my stay. Everything has been way above my expectations, especially the amazing care of all the staff - who are so cheerful and positive. Everyone is treated as an individual with their own special needs. In my case, the care was way beyond all that was necessary.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. It is lovely to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us here at Tadworth Grove and that we could exceed your expectations. It is nice to hear that you found our staff to be cheerful and positive. Thank you for your lovely review.
Thank you to all your team for a lovely Jubilee Afternoon Tea Celebration Party. Everyone was very welcoming. There was such a fun atmosphere and all the staff looked after us very well. Mum particularly enjoyed having her photo taken with the Queen! The food was excellent and the decorations looked great. Thanks for all your hard work.

My Mum had Alzheimer's and was admitted to Tadworth Grove Care Home from hospital after being assessed for the need for 24-hour care. As a family, we were grateful for the kindness and care Mum received. When Mum had a rare good day staff called to tell me and we were able to spend precious time with her in the lovely peaceful garden, a memory my son and I will always treasure. As Mum's sole carer, the time the staff also gave to guide me through the process of Mum's admission was invaluable to me and they were always supportive especially when her health detreated and she sadly passed away. It is a great comfort to us to know Mum had the care she needed in her final home.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. We are sorry for your loss please accept our condolences, It is lovely to hear that you felt your Mum had the care she needed whilst in our home and that you got to spend precious time with her. Hopefully, you will go away from this feeling like your Mum received the best possible care.
It has been absolutely fantastic now being able to go into Tadworth Grove through the front door wearing our mask and having just to sign the register and have a normal visit with my mum. Everyone seems so happy and well, which is great to see. All the staff are doing such a great job (as they have all done throughout covid) with plenty of activities going on and it is a pleasure to say things are just as lovely as they were before. Thank you to all the lovely staff who have worked so hard to get us where we are today. It has been much appreciated.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. It is lovely to hear that you are enjoying the visits with your Mum in our home. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your Mum's stay as comfortable as possible.

Meet the Team (6)

Soonita Shaw is responsible for the day to day running of Tadworth Grove care home. She brings more than 25 years of experience in the health and social care industry to her role.
Soonita holds a Registered Managers Award and a Diploma in Health and Social Services Management and has a successful track record in care home management in three other large corporate companies. Soonita has a wealth of knowledge on what good care looks like.
Soonita joined Bupa in March 2018. Her main focus is to support residents to have a good quality of life, maintain their independence and ensure they live in a lovely environment.

As a Deputy Manager and Registered nurse, I lead a professional team in providing the highest standards of care for up to 45 residents with varying needs.
I’m at my best when I’m caring for other people and I believe relationships are incredibly important, so I am personally involved in all of our residents’ everyday lives.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is improving lives by supporting residents and their families. Every resident we care for has a history and a story to tell and learning about their lives is a wonderful privilege.
Supporting and developing the team around me is also very important to me, as this enhances our residents’ lives and drives outstanding care.
Outside of work, I lead an active lifestyle as a keen cyclist (mountain biking), hiking and running for charity events 5 and 10 k’s.

I joined Tadworth Grove as the home's receptionist in January 2008. I decided to move into the administrator position when it became vacant, and this has been my role for the last two years.
Before joining Bupa, I worked as a clinic receptionist and a primary school teaching assistant.
Tadworth Grove is a lovely home with a great team and it’s lovely to see our residents happy and settled.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have two grandchildren and with a third on the way, so spare time will become a distant memory!

I have worked in the catering industry since 1981 after gaining a Diploma in Professional Cookery at Westminster College, London.
I have held many chef roles including Executive Chef and Regional Development Chef for a large contract catering company specialising in gaining new contracts and opening new multi-sites such as Glaxo Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Defence sites, Cisco System, N.E.C. and IBM to name but a few.
I joined Bupa in 2005. In 2013 I was the Bupa Judge Chef for a National Bupa Bake-off competition. I prefer baking cakes and have made numerous themed, party and show stopper cakes for clients, staff and residents families.
I am a proud father of five children and recently became a grandfather for the 3rd time.

I came to Bupa in 2010 as a carer and have personal experience of dementia care having looked after my mother.
I was promoted to Senior Housekeeper 3 years ago and now not only help out with the care of our residents but I keep the home clean too.
I spend my time listening and chatting to residents which is a very rewarding part of my role and I get a great buzz knowing that I can make a difference to their lives.
I worked for Tesco in the security department for 24 years and then as a carer for Better@Homes for approximately 6 years.

Smudge, the cat was named by one of our residents and he joined Tadworth Grove on 19th June 2018 aged 10 weeks.
Smudge is the youngest resident. He is looking forward to completing his course of immunisation so he can have free run of the home and gardens and make lots of new friends.
Smudge is well loved by all our residents and relatives.
