Tadworth Grove Care Home

My mum became a resident of Tadworth Grove in January 2024 after a series of falls and Alzheimer's meant she could no longer live alone at home. The change in her, both physically and mentally, since she became a resident has been outstanding to watch. She has gone from spending all day in bed and hardly eating or drinking, to participating in multiple activities every day and eating more than I've ever seen her eat before. She is thriving at Tadworth Grove, which seems a strange thing to say... but the staff and company of other residents has been the absolute best thing for my mum. She always seems happy - the staff are so caring, respectful and make a real effort to engage with her. As a family, we are so relieved that our mum is well looked after, safe and cared for. We have absolutely no regrets about our mum's move and would highly recommend Tadworth Grove to others.

I have found the home to be warm and welcoming. The staff are cheerful and always willing to help. I wish them well and good health. Staff at the front desk stand out for being kind and helpful, I hope they stay.

I'm happy with my room. I like the food choices and the variety of food. I like the staff and talking to them. Most of the staff and the residents are very chatty. I like the activities in the home. I like the way the home is run by the management, they are always there to help in any way.

Happy in my room. Happy I was able to bring my personal belongings. Variety of food excellent. Food always hot and I can change my choice if I want to. The trips out I enjoy very much. Staff very helpful and look after the residents so if I press my buzzer they come quickly.

I feel well looked after. Food is very nice. Everyone has been lovely, particularly two staff members who made me feel very welcome.

The care staff are always ready to help. I also enjoy the activities done by the staff. I always enjoy the food and the activities.

My mum has been a resident for a year now. She started with respite care and has now become a permanent resident. It took a little while with the support of the wonderful care staff to settle in but now she loves it and she is always happy and smiling. Without exception, every member of staff she has contact with is kind and caring. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is excellent. There are plenty of activities for those who want to join in. I would highly recommend this home to anyone.

I am extremely happy with my husband who is receiving care here. He was very fragile when he came but is so much better now. All the staff are friendly and caring and have really helped my husband settle in. I am so grateful to everyone who works at Tadworth Grove.

I visited a friend who is a resident in the care home on 24/08/2023. Everyone was very friendly and helpful from the reception through to nurses and those in charge on the 2nd floor. It was a very clean home. I was offered refreshments and the resident himself told me it was very good in the home.

Due to a family celebration I have travelled from a care home in Muthill, Scotland. I am happy to say the staff here have treated me very kindly. Yesterday I went on an outing to Brighton. Very enjoyable. I have not been there for many years. Weather luckily was dry but very windy, we had a very nice lunch of fish and chips and mushy peas on the pier. On the journey home we had a sing a long, all in all a very enjoyable day.

Since being here I realise how lonely I was at home. Since being here I have made lots of friends and I am never lonely. There is always something to do; and if you want to do nothing that's okay.

Tadworth Grove Care Home staff are so supportive of Mum. They are encouraging and caring and genuinely only want the best for her. It is a relief to know she is being well cared for.

Happy with the care provided - will return to the home as required.

The staff at Tadworth Grove were all fantastic! My mother was very well cared for, and the food and drink were excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending this home to others. My only slight concern would be on the maintenance side. The toilet in my mother's room was very difficult to flush, the door handle was not properly fixed to the door, and Mum frequently had no towels to dry her hands - these issues were reported, but not resolved in the six months that she was a resident there. The overall standard of care is very high, and that is the more important - so 9.5 out of 10!

I am disabled with no mobility having had brain surgery 22 years ago and more recently hip surgery. Because I will need a wheelchair, my carpets are being replaced with a wooden floor and so I came to Tadworth Grove for respite care while the work is done - I am 85 and was dreading coming into care, but to my surprise, I have really enjoyed my stay. Everything has been way above my expectations, especially the amazing care of all the staff - who are so cheerful and positive. Everyone is treated as an individual with their own special needs. In my case, the care was way beyond all that was necessary.

Thank you to all your team for a lovely Jubilee Afternoon Tea Celebration Party. Everyone was very welcoming. There was such a fun atmosphere and all the staff looked after us very well. Mum particularly enjoyed having her photo taken with the Queen! The food was excellent and the decorations looked great. Thanks for all your hard work.
