Overall Experience

Tadworth Grove has exceeded all expectations, and I smile as I leave in the sure and certain knowledge that my grandmother is not only safe and well cared for but also happy in her twilight years. I literally have nothing negative to say. All of the staff are extraordinary. I visited around a dozen homes in my research and none came close to Tadworth Grove .

Overall Experience

The employees/carers were very caring & friendly both to the residents & the families, accommodation comfortable, lovely gardens, food good, organisation of carers could be improved. My Mother stayed for two periods of approx 5 weeks in 2015, she would not have agreed to return for the second stay if she had not been happy there the first time. Definite positive for her was the resident hairdresser who visited weekly. The office staff were also very friendly & for the most part very efficient. A disappointment was the Manager who was never seen just remained in his office, when I feel he should have at least introduced himself to the residents & I feel the families also. During the total of 10 weeks he did not make himself known to us at all. The deputy manager however was good at talking to both residents & families.

I had today review meeting with one of the care managers in regards to health of my dad, understanding and approach of very difficult subjects amazed me.

Fantastic home all care staff very friendly and on the ball. I looked at few homes in Surrey none of them were near to Tadworth Grove. Environment and garden around amazing. On the day of my visit residents had a garden party. It was so nice to see seniors enjoying that activities.

Angela Fechita
Angela FechitaJob Title:Deputy Clinical ManagerJoined: 2016

As a Deputy Manager and Registered nurse, I lead a professional team in providing the highest standards of care for up to 45 residents with varying needs.

I’m at my best when I’m caring for other people and I believe relationships are incredibly important, so I am personally involved in all of our residents’ everyday lives.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is improving lives by supporting residents and their families. Every resident we care for has a history and a story to tell and learning about their lives is a wonderful privilege.

Supporting and developing the team around me is also very important to me, as this enhances our residents’ lives and drives outstanding care.

Outside of work, I lead an active lifestyle as a keen cyclist (mountain biking), hiking and running for charity events 5 and 10 k’s.

I joined Tadworth Grove as the home's receptionist in January 2008. I decided to move into the administrator position when it became vacant, and this has been my role for the last two years.

Before joining Bupa, I worked as a clinic receptionist and a primary school teaching assistant.

Tadworth Grove is a lovely home with a great team and it’s lovely to see our residents happy and settled.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have two grandchildren and with a third on the way, so spare time will become a distant memory!

I have worked in the catering industry since 1981 after gaining a Diploma in Professional Cookery at Westminster College, London.

I have held many chef roles including Executive Chef and Regional Development Chef for a large contract catering company specialising in gaining new contracts and opening new multi-sites such as Glaxo Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Defence sites, Cisco System, N.E.C. and IBM to name but a few.

I joined Bupa in 2005. In 2013 I was the Bupa Judge Chef for a National Bupa Bake-off competition. I prefer baking cakes and have made numerous themed, party and show stopper cakes for clients, staff and residents families.

I am a proud father of five children and recently became a grandfather for the 3rd time.

Sandy Mills
Sandy MillsJob Title:Senior HousekeeperJoined: 2010

I came to Bupa in 2010 as a carer and have personal experience of dementia care having looked after my mother.

I was promoted to Senior Housekeeper 3 years ago and now not only help out with the care of our residents but I keep the home clean too.

I spend my time listening and chatting to residents which is a very rewarding part of my role and I get a great buzz knowing that I can make a difference to their lives.

I worked for Tesco in the security department for 24 years and then as a carer for Better@Homes for approximately 6 years.
