Overall Experience

It is lovely to see the dedication of the staff and volunteers to the residents, although there are times when there are not enough staff and the volunteers are over-relied upon to pick up the slack. The food is very good although Mum is frustrated at having soft food. Most staff show great empathy for the residents but some less so (and can be abrupt). I feel it is extremely important for all staff in this caring profession to have great empathy skills to minimise the frustrations that come with age and reduced independence. Special thanks to one volunteer, the Activity Coordinator and Senior housekeeper for being so cheery and helpful.

Good care over medication. Small but good, bedroom with hand basin and towels on the ground floor.

The right level of blankets on the bed replaced daily. Good meals with reasonable choice.

To put my recovery in health in words is difficult, but without the care, compassion, dedication and professionalism with all staff looking after me and nursing me back to good health I would not be writing this review. I can't thank Bupa staff enough with where I was to where I am no. Thank you all so much.

Following a stay in hospital, I'm here to recuperate for a couple of weeks or so.
As the nursing home is close to my own home, I've no feeling of being far from my friends and family.
I'm comfortable, sleeping well and it's beautifully quiet during the night.
The nurses regularly check to see I'm OK and a lovely pot of tea arrives at 6.30am at my request, then a wonderful 'wet room' shower is available for me to start my day.
I'm beginning to feel rested and well treated. The physio and podiatrist are available too, and a hairdresser visits on a weekly basis.
All positive and encouraging for me to get well soon and back in my own home.

I can recommend this to anyone wanting to fully recover from anything or indeed a longer stay.

After looking at over 20 care/nursing homes, the first impression of Tadworth Grove was very welcoming and positive. Three months on, my family and I are extremely happy with the care our dad receives. I cannot fault anything, Dad is very settled and happy - which means the world to us. Also, a shout out to the head chef for ensuring Dad has a menu he loves. Thank you.

Bit concerned with my husbands care at times. There does not seem to be enough staff. Everyone is very friendly but not enough time for the care I would like for my husband.

Overall Experience

On first entering Tadworth Grove it felt welcoming, warm and very clean. My mother was treated with complete dignity and when medical conditions arose they were dealt with efficiently and with care, I was always kept aware of any developments. Mum celebrated her 100th birthday during her stay and the staff could not have been more helpful, providing an in-house cake, decorations and catering. She enjoyed the party very much surrounded by friends and family. I always found the staff to be friendly and helpful, her room was clean, tidy and without a trace of smell that sometimes pervades care homes. Mum always enjoyed having her hair done regularly at the salon and chatting with the ladies. I would highly recommend Tadworth Grove.

I have been a volunteer here for over ten years and have seen many changes. It has always been a very friendly, happy home. The residents are treated with friendliness and thought. Activities are always welcomed by all and a great deal of hard work goes into giving all residents a happy and 'homely' atmosphere as possible. Residents are encouraged to participate whenever possible.

I attended a Turkish themed lunch the other day (one of many themed days this month). It was great fun. The residents seemed to really enjoy it. Great props/music and excellent food. These sorts of things are a great idea.

The afternoon tea party was fabulous too. I saw one lady that has trouble communicating actually beaming (a great big smile). Much effort obviously goes into these activities and is much appreciated by everyone.

After nearly six years since my wife came here, she has improved in leaps and bounds. In my opinion, she could not have come to a better home, entertainment is good and we even have a little dog which I think helps the residents to forget their ailments.

The home has a cheese and wine evening which also gives the residents something to look forward to.

Angela FechitaJob Title:Deputy Clinical ManagerJoined: 2016

As a Deputy Manager and Registered nurse, I lead a professional team in providing the highest standards of care for up to 45 residents with varying needs.

I’m at my best when I’m caring for other people and I believe relationships are incredibly important, so I am personally involved in all of our residents’ everyday lives.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is improving lives by supporting residents and their families. Every resident we care for has a history and a story to tell and learning about their lives is a wonderful privilege.

Supporting and developing the team around me is also very important to me, as this enhances our residents’ lives and drives outstanding care.
