A very big thank you to all the lovely staff that have dilligently cared for my mother over the last five years. Mum was always treated with kindness and dignity, even when things became very difficult in the last year of her life. Staff are very professional and made Wray Common not just a home for my mum but somewhere I always felt welcomed and my views respected with a lot of support at challenging times. All housekeeping staff, carers, nurses and the manager are genuinely kind people and I will miss having a chat with them. Thank you for everything.

My mother was admitted to Wray Common bed bound and barely conscious and stayed for 18 months. She was looked after superbly by a team of very competent carers and nurses. They were supported by kindly cleaners and approachable management. My mothers wishes were respected and she was able to live in a comfortable room which was kept clean and tidy. We had the same staff throughout the time we were there, they do a wonderful job thank you.

My uncle has been a resident at Wray Common Nursing Home for the last 10 years. The home is very well run and all the staff have been excellent. Our family are very grateful for the love and care shown to my uncle, especially over the last few years when dementia meant that things became more difficult. I would also like to thank the nursing staff for their communication, always keeping me updated with any changes or developments in my uncle's health. I do not hesitate to give a 5-star review.

An excellent care home, the staff care so much about the resident their care is at the pre-front of their minds. We needed emergency respite care for my mum, the kind manager came that afternoon and gave us a place at the home. My mum goes home tomorrow and does not want to leave.

Thank you for welcoming our mum into your Home and looking after her for all of us. From the photos we were sent on Facebook we saw first hand that she loved all the entertainment, activities, food but more
importantly to have people around her who chatted to her and she was happy. Every single member of staff showed openly not only to Mum but to us as a family, love, support and compassion, you made the

months and last few days of her life special to us by showing the love and support and that Wray Common Nursing Home is a family. You have some very special members of staff and on our behalf please thank all your staff.

The whole family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the extraordinary care, compassion, and kindness you provided to our Dad. He so enjoyed all of the activities he was able to participate in, which is what we had hoped for with him going into care. From the moment he arrived at your home, we were touched by the warmth, professionalism, and dignity with which he was treated. Your attention to his needs gave us tremendous peace of mind during an incredibly difficult time and it was evident how much every member of staff cares about the job that they do. The comfort and respect you offered Dad allowed him to spend his last days with dignity, surrounded by people who genuinely cared and avoid the need for him to return to hospital, and for that we will be eternally grateful. We also want to thank you for the support you extended to us, and your patience in answering our questions, your updates, and helping us to navigate this final chapter in his life. Thank you all.

My dad has been a Wray Common Nursing Home resident since July last year. I always find the staff are very helpful: management, nurses, care and housekeeping, Chefs, everybody. Nothing too much trouble, they are always polite; that's what my dad likes and me. The home is always clean and tidy. Nurses always informed me how my dad is doing about his GP visits and his health conditions. I find management always helpful, open door policy, and always available to talk.

My mother was a resident at Wray Common Nursing & Residential Home from Jan 2024 until she died in Dec 2024.
The home is very well run with an excellent manager.
I could not have been happier with the standard of care she received from the day she arrived until she died. The kindness and care from every staff member and the way we were treated and welcomed was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble.
The professionalism and caring manner of the senior nursing staff in ensuring my mum was pain-free near the end made everything so much easier for us to manage in knowing that she was in such safe hands.
When Mum was able she enjoyed the activities, especially with live singers and also being able to be outside in the garden in summer.
Food was excellent, all home-cooked with a varied selection and home-baked cake every afternoon. Birthdays were always celebrated for residents with a special cake/celebration!

To be honest, Wray Common Nursing & Residential Home exceeded my expectations and I have no hesitation in recommending it and giving a 5* review!

I'd like to thank the manager and all the members of the team at Wray Common for their excellent care of my dad in the last month of his life. Dad really wanted to die in his own home, but as the end of his life got closer it became harder and harder at home, and he changed his mind. Wray Common is a lovely, friendly place full of people who really care. I wish dad had made the decision to go there sooner - I think he would have had an easier journey through those last few months. I would recommend Wray Common to anyone having to make this difficult choice, the staff are friendly and respectful, and the care was tailored to exactly what my dad wanted and needed. As a visitor I was always made very welcome.

My mother has been a resident of Wray Common Nursing home since October 2024. She has a number of challenging needs including dementia. The home have exceeded expectations in their duty to care for my mother. From the management, the nursing, through to the housekeeping, the carers, and all the support staff, it is a very hard working professional environment with an amazing family feel. And as a result all the staff are very friendly, courteous and helpful.
The home are always quick to communicate any issues or requests to me and likewise the communication channels to the home are very open. Any needs raised are promptly addressed and actioned by the manager and his team.

I cannot thank the staff enough for keeping my mother in a safe and happy environment.

My mum was cared for by Wray Common for end-stage cancer after a brief stay in hospital. She was only in the home for 5 weeks but the care she received was amazing. All the staff were lovely from the nurses all the way to the cleaning staff. Friendly, smiling and extremely supportive. My mum was very happy here and they worked hard to accommodate her needs for privacy and comfort. The care home manager was personable and was only too happy to take on board any suggestions to make her last few weeks the best they possibly could be. They always kept me informed of any doctors visits, medication changes etc. and there was usually someone on hand to talk about her ongoing care needs or any concerns I had. Thank you to all who had a share in her care and for the level of service you provide in the most challenging and distressing situations, you really helped us to enjoy our last few weeks with Mum/Grandma.

Mum was admitted to Wray Common Nursing Home in March 2024. She was very run down and depressed and we felt she could no longer look after herself.
I am pleased to say that after three months of excellent care from the home, Mum is now returning to her own home to be looked after by care visitors provided by the same group.
In the time Mum was at the home she received the best of care from experienced, knowledgeable staff who were also very friendly and helpful.

I have no hesitation in recommending the home to people considering this step for their loved ones. We are fortunate Mum has felt well enough to cope at home again but I would not hesitate in choosing to return her here if, unfortunately, she has to leave her flat again.

My mother stayed here for 4 years. During Covid, every effort was made so that I could visit Mum. The staff were most helpful and supportive when we could go out to make sure mum was ready with her coat, shoes etc. The food was excellent and much enjoyed. For Mum's 98th birthday, we had a family lunch table so could celebrate with her.

My father received end-of-life care for only a short period - 10 days - after a sudden decline at home, a month before his 90th birthday. From the initial discussion to arrange an urgent assessment, to his final moments. The care from all the staff was exemplary. My (large) family and I visited frequently and were always well received with a warm and sensitive welcome and appropriate requests for refreshments. More importantly, my father was cared for with dignity and respect and always looked fresh and well-groomed, reflecting his love of neatness while alive. A lovely and professional team.

Our dear mum has been a resident at Wray Common for over six years. We would like to express our profound gratitude for all that has been done for her during this time. To know that she was safe, comfortable and treated with such respect has been a constant support to us all. Everyone's kindness to us all as a family has also been the greatest of gifts. Most importantly, in mum's final days, she was treated with incredible dignity and tenderness and we were able to be with her just as we wished. For that, we will always be grateful.
