My mum was in Wray Common for Palliative care for only 3 weeks. All the staff and I stress all were amazing they were respectful, caring and went above and beyond. The nurses were very caring and very professional, they made mum's last few weeks special and dignified. They have doctors from a local practice on hand if needed and they worked well together. We can’t thank them enough, I am so grateful to every single member of staff you make a great team, so thank you.

Mum was only in the nursing home for three weeks before she died but the care she received was wonderful. All the staff went out of their way to make sure that she was settled and had all the comfort she might want. Cannot praise them enough.

When Mum was first admitted to Wray Common, we didn't expect her to last long. With the care and devotion of the staff, she outlived those expectations by a year. Staff have always been friendly and happy to talk whenever we have visited. Updates have been frequent It has been lovely watching my mother enjoy her last year especially when able to be with the other residents.

Thank you to all for making this experience memorable in a good way.

My mother was exceptionally well looked after here. The staff were very caring and considerate. The room was always lovely and clean. The staff were always smiling - how they cope with the difficult situations, I really admire them. I was always made comfortable during my visits and offered tea/coffee with cake!

When I was admitted to the home (I was told by my daughter that I was not expected to live for long). As I am a fighter with the aid of the magical staff I have fought my way back to health and live back in my Bungalow on my own and have an active life. My daughter is able and willing to drive me around. I have "arranged" medication by the "Home" and am able to get around on my Mobility Scooter walk quite well by carrying a walking stick for stability.

My father was in Wray Common for a year, he was not expected to survive, but, with the wonderful care of the nursing team, he gradually got better and better and is now back living on his own property.

I cannot thank all the staff, nursing, kitchen, housekeeping, etc, for all they have done for my dad. He loved chatting to everyone, and everyone loved him. I bring him back each week to visit. I also found everyone very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this nursing home.

My mum was in hospital for a number of weeks and we were so pleased to get mum into Wray Common. Mum went in as a palliative patient and they were so respectful of our situation, that the nurse not only looked after mum but gave us emotional support as mum's passing came closer. We were allowed to sleep in mum's room and stay with her until the end, we were offered endless tea and cake etc. They really are a family and was sad that mum only got to stay such a short time.

The care and compassion offered both to my friend (who was the resident) and myself was superb!

I cannot comment on activities, because my friend was too unwell to participate.

My mum stayed at Wray Common for 10 weeks after a hip operation. They were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. They accommodated her at very short notice which made our lives easy especially as they were so helpful and relaxed. Would highly recommend it.

My mum was very happy here. Whilst she is now well enough to go home we would definitely use Wray Common again in the future if we need to.

Truly caring staff with all the physical and emotional skills to care for patients and residents. Varied and severe physical and mental disabilities. Also very considerate in dealing with distraught relatives of patients under palliative care.

My mother-in-law was admitted on 21st March 2023 as she had Alzheimer's and was unable to stay at home with live-in care. She settled in quite quickly. The staff are brilliant; very caring and look after her every need. My mother-in-law's main comment was that she loved the food. She has a very pleasant room with French doors. We took some of her pictures and they were already in place the following day. Everyone is very supportive. It couldn't be better.

The home is clean and fresh-smelling. Security is very good. All staff are welcoming and friendly. My mother's room is spacious, airy and has an en-suite bathroom. The home is well-staffed and, although not purpose-built, seems to work well. My mother seems happy here and gets on well with staff members.

My husband (aged 67) received palliative care at Wary Common Nursing and Residential Home for the final 7 weeks of his life. The staff treated him with respect and compassion. Initially, he was able to enjoy time in the lounge with other residents but as his condition deteriorated he stayed in his room and we were encouraged to visit as often as we liked. We as a family felt involved with decisions made about his care in his final weeks and days. The home has a friendly atmosphere, good facilities and excellent catering.

My husband entered Wray Common in June 2022 after a few weeks in hospital following a fall and surgery for a fractured hip. His condition had deteriorated so far that he could no longer be cared for at home. He was suffering from Alzheimer's. Wray Common was most welcoming and proved to be the perfect place. Lost weight was soon regained. All the staff were welcoming, caring and friendly and treated my husband with great love and respect.

As a family, we are very thankful and would highly recommend Wray Common for their care, attention and dignity they have shown towards our father and also to the other residents. Our father had to be moved from another care home due to it being closed down, so as a family we were worried about how he would cope with this move, also his health had deteriorated at the same time. With great relief from the first meeting, to the arrangments to move him, to helping him settle down into Wary Common, all went effortlessly. Everybody has been so welcoming, kind and all interact with him and ourselves. We would like to say how happy we are with this move and we would like to thank everybody involved with Wary Common.

All staff have been wonderful at Wray Common Nursing and Residential Home. My grandmother has been looked after so well and all that work there have always stopped by to chat. Best place for her than where she used to be. When problems arise the staff have been very quick to help and sort things out and are looking to get my grandmother out and visit other people in the place.

The care that my mother received, even though she'd lost her mobility, was good. She was always clean and tidy and I felt she was attended by happy, caring, chatty and understanding staff. Whenever I rang, which was almost daily, the nurses were so helpful in taking the phone to Mother, making sure she could hear and who it was, they always said "no problem" or "you're welcome".
