Ashton Manor is part of Beritaz Care, a dynamic family-owned care home operator with a number of homes located in Surrey and Dorset. Mum moved to Ashton Manor in May 2022. During mum's 3 years at Ashton Manor she was treated with respect and understanding by all the staff.


As a family, we were welcomed in and every kindness shown to us, from the initial settling in process (which mum found difficult) to mum's final days. We were

encouraged to make mum's room homely, placing favourite items around her and a smart speaker so she could listen to songs she loved. The manager or members of her team were always on hand to answer any queries or just give us a reassuring word when needed.


The care given to mum was exemplary, always with a gentle word, a smile and kindness. In my opinion mum could not have received more professional and dedicated care than she did at Ashton Manor.


A difficult time for all concerned was eased by the caring nature of the manager and her team.

I cannot fault the care given by the staff at Ashton Manor. They looked after my mum for 3 years with respect and kindness, allowing her to retain her dignity until the end of her life. She formed close bonds with the staff and went above and beyond to make her feel at home. They also looked after us,
her family, especially at the end. We cannot thank them enough.

Ashton Manor was recommended to us by a friend.
When we viewed Ashton Manor looking for a care home for my mother in law we instantly had a positive feeling about the home. Staff were all welcoming and friendly.
Ashton Manor is a listed building in a village and has pretty grounds. All the rooms
are slightly different but all were clean and well equipped. My mother in law has settled in well and we have nothing but praise for the care she receives. We are always made to feel welcome when we visit.
Recently it was my mother in laws birthday and staff were really helpful in setting up a space in the garden where lots of us could visit at the same time to share tea and cake.
The only negative thing has been a problem with the lift which did limit my mother in law going downstairs for a little while. Staff did bring my mother in law down stairs manually in the very hot weather .
My mother in law always appears content and happy.

I felt warmly welcomed into Ashton Manor from the start. The staff were all kind, polite and caring. My father was well cared for in the short time he was with them. He was treated with kindness and respect and had regular checks on him to check on his needs he may require. The rooms were a good size,
with an ensuite toilet or shower room. My dad's room looked over the beautiful garden. Unfottunately my dad was too ill to use the activities and facilities downstairs but looked well organised on our initial viewing. I would recommend anyone who is looking into care for any elderly relative to look at and consider Ashton Manor as there preferred choice. Lovely staff, wonderful care!

Staff at Ashton Manor provide a warm and caring environment for their residents. I have found them to be both professional and friendly.
There are a wide range of activities, which can be adapted to individual needs and everyone is encouraged and helped to take part. All residents are known by their
first names by all staff. Visitors are always acknowledged and welcomed.
Any issues that arise are quickly and efficiently dealt with and family members are Included in the decision making process. Nursing staff are always ready to discuss matters and take their time to explain concerns in detail and management are always on hand and easy to approach.

My father has one-to-one care at Ashton Manor Nursing Home. Whenever we visit with my mum, he is really well cared for, clean, the room is always clean and staff happy. There is always a sense of calm in the building and a big effort by staff to celebrate holidays, Halloween etc., with decorations and
events. All staff are lovely and friendly, make us feel welcome. I know my father couldn't be in a better place and we feel lucky he is here.

When my husband first came to Ashton Manor Nursing Home, he was very unsettled and sometimes violent towards the staff. They were very patient and treated him with much care and compassion. He has dementia. He took a long time to settle. The staff worked hard to make him accept and be happy. Notifying
me of any problems, mainly by phone - not in his hearing. We, the family, are extremely pleased with all the staff in this home. They always make us welcome when we visit and inform us of any problems as they arise. We are very happy he is in such good hands. He is very lucky but does no realise - but we do! We wish all elderly could have this amount of care and lovely, tasty meals.

I have been a resident here since March 2024. I transferred here from care homes in another area where I experienced residency in four different care facilities. Ashton Manor has proven to be way ahead of anything in my past.
It is clear that the staff are well trained, show understanding of resident's
individual needs and respond to that.

Very caring and reassuring staff.
Everyone I visit the staff are welcome and friendly.
The nurses are very conscientious and now a new GP will visit weekly the care will be even better.
I feel my mother is definitely in the best place, especially with the lively garden which is beautifully maintained.

The staff at Ashton Manor Nursing Home work as a team, they are welcoming, attentive, caring and considerate. They keep you updated on what is going on and try to entertain all the residents with activities throughout the day. The meals smell delicious and are very healthy, and those who cannot feed
themselves, they always make sure that they are eating or drinking properly and encourage in a kindly way. The residence is clean and tidy and everyone plays their part with excellence. Full marks for a great team who, most of the time, are happy and interacting with residents.

My sister and I are delighted that our mother is in Ashton Manor; she has been there for nearly 3 years and we have found the staff to be consistently friendly, helpful, patient, and courteous. Our mother's room is cozy and clean (as is the whole place) and the increased assistance she needs has never
been a problem. We feel it is a really well-run care home where the staff are genuinely happy and supported which leads to the residents feeling happy and relaxed. There are plenty of activities which take place, as well as trips out or entertainers coming in.
We had to choose a care home during lockdown which wasn't easy, but we are SO pleased we chose Ashton Manor where our mum feels so well cared for; she is always saying how wonderful the staff are!

Good clean home, very helpful staff. Feel happy to leave my sister in their care. The chef is very considerate and visits to ensure my sister has what she wants. My wife and I were impressed by the care given to my mother who has been a resident of Ashton Manor for nearly a couple of years. We have visited her regularly and each time have been very happy with the care and attention she has received. My mother has demanding care needs and they have been met by
members of staff at Ashton Manor to a consistently high standard. The staff are friendly and welcoming and they have treated my mother with respect and thoughtfulness. Everywhere is clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, due to my mother's condition, she is unable to take part in the Home's planned activities but we are aware of them via the regular newsletter and updates. Had she been able, she would have enjoyed taking part in the wide range of activities available to residents. We would like to thank everyone at Ashton Manor for their high standard of care and dedication.

This is a wonderful home, very caring and responsive, and compassionate.
The manager is a very easy person to talk with, she listens, is non-judgemental, and a well-chosen person and with overall care of this home from home.
My mother has been very well cared for and treated with respect and shown
kindness every day.
It is thanks to Ashton Manor that she has been with us for so long.
It is a place full of hope and vibrancy, not a place of the end of our days, quite the opposite, a place of life, in the midst of life, embracing every day and respecting everyone who lives there as an individual with much to offer.

I have been a Registered Nurse for over 25 years. I have worked in many different areas of nursing and have specialised in elderly care for the past 20 years at Beritaz Care. Following my General training in Jamaica. I have recently undertaken further training in Management. In my 20 years with Beritaz Care, the company has helped me to develop both as a person and professionally. I have been supported through my role as a Nurse to become Deputy Manager and now Manager. I love working in this field because I am passionate about what I do and I feel as a company Beritaz Care have that passion in achieving a high standard of care for the people we care for.

Susan joined the Ashton Manor team in May 2016 as a Support Manager. She has a background in care and was previously managing a care home for adults with learning disabilities. She takes real pride in her role and is passionate about promoting a positive and can-do attitude amongst the team so that everyone works together to enrich the lives of our residents delivering the sort of care that they themselves would want for their own family members. Susan says that one of the best things about working for Ashton Manor, part of the Beritaz Care family of care homes, is their culture of thinking ahead. I trained in hotel management in my native Slovakia, which gave me skills that have proved useful working here in the care home. I decided to become a care assistant after I spent more than a year caring for my grandmother in Slovakia; I also worked in a hospice. Both experiences have shaped my attitudes and approach, as well as my capabilities.


I’ve worked in Ashton Manor since 2005. During my time here, I’ve gained NVQ Level 2 qualifications in Health & Social Care and Nutrition and completed my Level 3 qualification in 2019. I was promoted to Senior Care Assistant in 2014 and then took on the Head of Care role in 2023. I feel the company gives us all the support we need to succeed. I love working with people. I always enjoyed helping and being part of their lives. I decided to be a carer and I am finding this job fulfilling.

Job Title: Clinical Lead

After working at Ashton Manor for several years as a Registered Nurse, I have now taken on the role of Clinical Lead. I have worked in the care industry for some time, working in both private and county council care homes over the years. Working in care is something I always wanted to do and am passionate about. I feel satisfaction in the kind of care that residents get here and the knowledge that their needs are being fully met. As a part of Beritaz Care, I feel you get a lot of support. Amongst the carers and all the staff, there is a great culture of working hard and supporting each other. Everyone is aiming for the same thing, quality of care.


In my role as Clinical Lead, I am involved in audits, medication management and supervising the care and nursing teams. Having previously worked in a nursing role in the home, I have a good knowledge of how everything operates. I have worked on both the day and night shifts, so I have seen all elements of the home and understand what the staff are experiencing. My favourite part of working at Ashton Manor has always been working on the floor. I have been working at Ashton Manor Nursing Home since 2016, initially as a Care Assistant before being promoted to Senior Care Assistant. With the support of my manager, I was able to embark on further training and have now taken on a role as a Registered Nurse. Being a nurse is one of the most challenging jobs but also very rewarding, that’s the main reason I choose to work in healthcare.


When I first started working at Ashton Manor I was very nervous, but grew to feel comfortable and confident thanks to the friendly welcome from the entire team that really made me feel a part of the team. I am really happy to be a part of the Ashton Manor and Beritaz Care family. I have been able to create close bonds with each resident and develop a real understanding of their needs. After each shift, knowing that I have shared my care, passion and love and that this has helped the residents to feel happy and satisfied, makes my day.

I joined Ashton Manor in 2018, so I have been a part of the team now for 6 years. I joined the team as a Care Assistant, before being promoted to Senior Care Assistant and now I am a qualified nurse.


My responsibilities at the home include medication administration, assisting with personal care needs, helping residents with meals and hydration, as well as completing care plans, assessments and admissions. I also spend a lot of time interacting with residents and their families, communication is a really important part of my role. What I enjoy most about my job is being able to support residents and their families with anything they need. The entire Ashton Manor team is wonderful, we work well together and there is always good communication between the staff. It is a diverse workplace which allows for more ideas and processes to be shared.

I have been a Registered Nurse for many years. I have worked in various parts of the world, including four years in a hospital in India, and five years as a hospital nurse in Saudi Arabia. I have been working at Ashton Manor since September 2024, and it has been a rewarding experience. My journey in the care industry began in 2022 while I was still a student. Although I hold a Master’s degree in Marketing and Communication from a UK university, I’ve always felt a deep calling to work in the care industry — a field where I can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life. As a Care Assistant, my role involves supporting residents with daily activities and personal care, as well as looking out for their emotional wellbeing. The most fulfilling part of my job is connecting with the residents, I enjoy listening to their stories and bringing a smile to their faces.

I've spent over 20 years in the catering industry, and have been head chef at Ashton Manor since 2013. I hold an NVQ Level 2 in Professional Catering, and I'm fully trained in Health and Safety in the Workplace and Health and Nutrition. As head chef, my job entails catering to special dietary needs, some of which are a bit 'out of the box' but we work alongside the management to get this right.


I enjoy my job and get great satisfaction when receiving good feedback from residents and families. The company is consistently giving me opportunities to improve with different courses available.

Hi I’m Tina and I have been working at Ashton Manor Nursing Home since November 2011 in various ancillary roles, mainly as one of the kitchen assistants but sometimes covering the chefs when they are on leave and occasionally the laundry. I have previous experience working in these types of roles having worked for the NHS, mainly in elderly care.


Ashton Manor is a great place to work, it is family-orientated, and everyone works well together as a team. The managers are very helpful and supportive but the biggest reward I receive each day is being with the residents, chatting with them and seeing them smile back at me.

I started working at Ashton Manor in 2019, I knew nothing about the care industry but I had a caring heart. I first started working as a Care Assistant and learned a lot during that time. Two years after I started in this role I was promoted to Senior Care Assistant, it was a great experience and came with more chances to learn and grow.


I have now taken on the role of Home Administrator, having worked previously as an administrator this is a position I feel well prepared for.
