We feel incredibly lucky to have found such a warm, welcoming, and caring home for my mum. Moving a loved one into a care home is a very emotional and difficult time for any family, and being faced with that decision can feel overwhelming.
Thankfully, we were fortunate enough to secure a place at Springkell
House. From the very beginning, the staff have been outstanding. They made both my mum and our family feel genuinely welcome and supported during what could have been a very stressful transition.
It gives us great comfort knowing that when mum is there, she is so well cared for. The team consistently goes above and beyond, not only in looking after her but also in supporting us, always available to answer any questions.
We are truly grateful for the kindness, compassion, and dedication shown by everyone at Springkell House.
Reply from Jozef Tomko, Home Manager at Springkell House Care HomeThanks so much for your lovely feedback about the care we gave your mum. It really means a lot to the team.

We have never regretted choosing Ashton Manor during the 7 years that our father was a resident. Our initial decision was based upon the length of time the senior staff had been at the care home, which allowed for the continuity of care for residents as well as maintaining the high standards that they
set themselves.
Over time we saw the professional development of staff that indicated that this was seen as their career rather than 'just a job'. This was reflected in the excellent care and kindness shown by all the staff.
The rooms were large and were always kept clean.
Many activities were arranged for the residents, including outings to the seaside, that obviously took a lot of organising by the staff but the residents and their families clearly enjoyed the experience.
Perhaps the greatest accolade we can provide is that we felt comfortable and confident in entrusting the care of our father to the kind and professional staff and management at Ashton Manor.
Reply from Carla Dixon-Peart, Manager at Ashton Manor Nursing HomeThank you for your feedback. It was our pleasure looking after your father. Our ongoing aim to provide high level person centred care. Your feedback keeps us motivated to do so.

My husband has been resident at Ashton Manor since last June and we think very highly of the staff and the care he has received. The hospital wanted us to arrange a room in a nursing home at short notice and this was quickly sorted out in a kind and helpful way. I visit frequently and have never heard
a cross word, even when behaviour is challenging. All the family are made welcome to visit. My husband particularly likes access to the garden and enjoys the excellent food.
Reply from Carla Dixon-Peart, Manager at Ashton Manor Nursing HomeThank you for the feedback. We aim to work alongside family and friends to achieved the best outcomes for those we care for.

I have volunteered for two years now, since the time my wife died. She was at Ashton Manor for five years. I volunteer because I want to repay, in however small a way, the very special level of care and kindness that she received. I too was always made welcome whenever I visited; and I still am, to
the extent that I always look forward to a visit. Every member of staff is so friendly - and they all smile a smile which is always unforced and genuine. I would be totally disorientated if I no longer had reason to visit.
Reply from Carla Dixon-Peart, Manager at Ashton Manor Nursing HomeThanks for the feedback Chris and thanks for contributing in your own special way to the Ashton Manor Team. You are always welcome.

My 90 year old mother has been at Ashton Manor for over 5 years and I have nothing but praise for all the staff who go out of their way to make the residents' lives as pleasant as possible with endless patience, friendliness and kindness. All the residents are treated with the greatest respect, and
the staff are always smiley and friendly with family members and friends who visit. The management is exceptional too, which I think is why the staff all seem to enjoy their roles, and Ashton Manor is run very smoothly.
I really wouldn't hesitate in recommending Ashton Manor to anyone - we have absolutely no regrets in choosing it for my mum (during Covid when we couldn't even visit in person!).
The rooms are clean and the food is good and plentiful.
Reply from Carla Dixon-Peart, Manager at Ashton Manor Nursing HomeThanks for the feedback Lucy. We are able to achieve this only through collaboration with yourselves and hope to maintain the relationship as such.

My friend has been a long term resident and I have been impressed over the years by the consistently high quality of care provided. The facilities are well maintained and bright and welcoming. The staff are always approachable and communicative. They have a good rapport with the residents and endless
patience giving them self-determination whenever possible. Staff training and development is a particular concern of the management and this is reflected in the good retention rate, which aids the stability of the experience for residents. They have been very good at keeping me informed about medical developments and issues and have helped with form filling for financial and legal purposes.
Reply from Carla Dixon-Peart, Manager at Ashton Manor Nursing HomeThanks for your feedback. We endevour to use this to consistently improve our service.

Our Mum, Sheila, moved into Robertson's in March 2024, following a spell in hospital and a nursing home. She never wanted to move to residential care - having lived in her beloved farmhouse for more than 50 years alongside our Dad - but it was clear that she needed more care and a more suitable living
environment than we could give her at home.
She struggled to settle at first, but all the staff at Roberston's were unfailingly kind, supportive and reassuring, and she soon felt much happier. Over the almost 2 years Mum was in the care home she made friends, loved the food, enjoyed the variety of activities - especially anything musical - and was looked after so well by caring and compassionate staff who feel genuine affection for the residents. Mum passed away at the beginning of February this year, but we are so happy that we found Robertson's - it feels very strange not to see all the carers and nursing staff every week when we visit! Thank you to all of you.
Reply from Gabriella Konczol, Manager at Robertson Nursing HomeDear Carolyn, Thank you so much for sharing such a heartfelt message about your Mum, Sheila. We are truly grateful that you took the time to reflect on her time with us. It means a great deal to us to know that, although it was not an easy transition at first, our team were able to support Sheila with kindness and reassurance and help her to feel more settled and happy. We are so pleased to hear that she enjoyed the food, the activities, and especially the musical moments, and that she was able to form friendships during her time at Robertson's. Your words about the compassion and genuine affection shown by the team will mean so much to them, and we will be sure to share your feedback with everyone. Please accept our sincere condolences on Sheila's passing. It has been a privilege to care for her, and she will be fondly remembered by the staff and residents alike. Thank you again for your kind words and for allowing us to be part of her journey.

From our first visit, Jozef & his team showed such warmth & hospitality, giving an open welcome & an obvious desire to meet the needs of our Mum, with flexibility by enabling us to choose one of the rooms available. It has been an extremely emotional decision for Mum to have some time in respite but
made so much easier with the support & advice from the home. Staff have been amazing in supporting Mums transition and helping us all with the settling in process. But In a couple weeks Mum is so much happier. We joined in the Valentine's Day entertainment which was fabulous & Dad has enjoyed joining mum for lunch. The room is always clean & tidy & laundry service is so efficient.
We get regular updates & are able to visit anytime. The staff work hard to find the interests of Mum & include these in her activity programme. Shes beginning to look back to her happy self. Jozef & his team are always smiling, caring and extremely patient. We leave our visits reassured Mums in safe hands.

My father moved into Robertson's house over 3 years ago, before that he was in hospital and I was told he was end of life. From the moment he arrived at Robertsons he started to improve, the staff treated him with kindness, dignity and patience and he received exceptional care, he went from being bed
bound to mobilising with a walking frame. He enjoyed wonderful food and took part in various activities. I was always made to feel very welcome whenever I visited him and I knew he was well looked after. All the staff are kind and caring and make Robertsons feel like a family. Sadly my father passed away recently but I know the last few years of his life at Robertsons he received the best care possible for which I am truly grateful. Diane (Daughter)

I came to visit a resident. I was welcomed by a member of staff and he escorted me to a room where my friend was involved in a memory activity. I felt very welcome to join this activity with about 7 residents and an excellent activity leader. After this I joined my friend and 2 other residents for lunch.
I had brough my sandwich and carrots and the nice staff made me a cup of tea. We retired to my friend's room until it was time for me to leave. Admin staff ordered me a taxi. I would rate this home as 100%

whole settling in process. In a few short months, my mother considers Sprinkell House her home. I receive regular updates and am able to drop in without booking a visit. The home have found out special interests of my mother and included these in her activity programme. She looks so much better than she did in hospital - back to a happier self. My mother-in-law became a resident at Springkell House at the end of November 2025 and we are so pleased to find her a care home as good as this one.
All of the staff that we have met on our visits are amazing. We are always greeted with a smile by everyone and immediately made to feel welcome. The
home is extremely well led by a Manager who is passionate about the care service that they provide and the carers are so friendly and very attentive and patient with the residents.
Springkell House has a very homely feel to it with two lounges and a large reception area. They have daily activities so there is a lot of variety on offer for residents. The food is all freshly prepared and presented in a very nice dining room and room service is offered for breakfast which is great.
Although it is relatively early days for my mother-in-law to be living in a care facility we are comforted by the fact that we know that she is safe and getting the best possible care in an excellent care home.

My father first came to Robinson Nursing Home three years ago after an illness, likely caused by his own and his local council's carers neglect. From the moment he arrived here, his condition improved and continued to improve and with the friendly staff and environment, he now enjoyed his days despite
his dementia. I put this down to the excellent quality of care, food and stimulation that he received.
Eventually, just over a year ago I moved him to a partner care home in the group at Hindhead. Here he thrived for a while but unfortunately, a tumour/cancer developed and following a long stay in hospital recently, he then required end of life care. I knew Robinsons was the right place for him and so, upon release he was again gently and respectfully cared for until his departure from this earth a few weeks ago.
I know that returning dad to Robertsons was the right decision and I believe that he had the best possible care for the last two months of his life.
Reply from Gabriella Konczol, Manager at Robertson Nursing HomeDear Rob, Thank you so much for sharing your heartfelt words. It was a privilege for all of us at Robertson Nursing Home to care for your father, both during his first stay with us and again in the final months of his life. We are pleased to hear that he was able to enjoy his days here and that our staff, environment, and care made a positive difference to his wellbeing. Your recognition of the team's efforts means a great deal to everyone who supported him.

Springkell house is the most welcoming care home you will find. The staff are well led , greet you as a friend, and most importantly really care about the residents. They support one another, and work together, to ensure the best for the residents. It certainly feels like a 'home' rather than an institution.
Food is varied, cooked well and is beautifully presented. Laundry all dealt with efficiently and respectfully.
Most residents eat breakfast in their own rooms- a nice gentle start to the day, but lunch and supper are served ' family style'in the dining room.
Medicalcare is outstanding - mainly dealt with within the home- ask for details
There are two main lounges residents can choose to go to. Every morning there are arranged activities - based on music, games, puzzles or hobbies which many residents enjoy. They also celebrate high days, holidays and special events like birthdays,Easter and Xmas
My dad a resident for almost 3 years, is very content- the best recommendation!

Before entering Robertsons my mother suffered an on-going leg condition. When she suffered an infection the home's registered nurse explained the measures undertaken to identify & treat it, infection control procedures (including visitor restrictions) and the specialist NHS scans to find the underlying
cause. Gratefully Robertsons has 'in-house' registered nurses with detailed knowledge of resident's & their medical profiles. My Mother's mobile phone enables my daily contact however her decline has resulted in it being mislaid & keypad errors. Likewise, the TV remote control presents its own challenges. Staff helping to resolve such issues is an example of the carer's helpfulness I've experienced. The Manager, Gabi, ensues relatives are updated with the home's major redevelopment that will ensure Robertsons has a bright future. The home's new electronic visitor log, a small example of the home's continual improvements, enhances confidentiality & record keeping.

Very kind and welcoming ambience, staff always attentive to the residents, and always had time for their visitors :) At the moment, there is building
work going on to improve the home, but this is very well managed and doesn't seem to have a negative impact on the residents in any way.
