My wife, who is suffering from severe dementia, moved into Ashridge Court on 22nd September 2017. When she arrived at the nursing home, she was bewildered and somewhat distressed by the change in her environment. I was very impressed with the manner in which the staff of Ashridge Court quickly put my wife at ease. This excellent professional expert care has continued. The staff are very friendly and appear to work well as a team.

Overall Experience

My aunt resided at the Ashridge Court for three years after she became unsafe in her own home. Although initially reluctant to leave her own home, she soon adapted to her new environment and soon made friends with her new neighbours and the welcoming staff at the Ashridge.

The Ashridge Court team provided me with the support and confidence that my aunt was getting the quality of service that I could not provide to her in my own home. I cannot speak highly enough of the professionalism and compassion shown towards my aunt. She had a feisty personality, who would today be considered "Politically Incorrect", however her independence of thought was met with understanding and humour. Should anyone reading this Review be considering the Ashridge Court for their "near and dear", I would fully recommend and endorse the Ashridge Court.

My Dad spent the last two months of his life in the dementia part of Ashridge Court. He was very well looked after until the end with care and dignity at all times. The staff were amazing, really attentive and friendly. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone.

Our terminally ill friend was in Ashridge Court for three weeks before his death. Everyone treated him and ourselves, with the utmost dignity. The friendly staff always made us welcome on our daily visits.

I visited my friend for over three years. Her room overlooking the garden and views over Pevensey marshes to the sea. Sadly I didn't see her out of her room (her choice I believe) and I did visit regularly. Everyone of the staff were caring and kind. To watch her body wasting away was so cruel I personally believe that the government should bring out a law allowing us to die with dignity not easy I know, but it could and should be done.

My friend is extremely well looked after at Ashridge Court.
She is totally dependent on the staff and I have every confidence. I visit regularly and I am well looked after, when I visit I spend all day at the home and know how well it is run.
I cannot recommend it highly enough.
The food is fantastic, the rooms are lovely and bright.

There is a wonderful atmosphere with activities continually going on.

My mum age 96 was receiving "end of life care" at this superb home. She was treated with great compassion, respect and dignity as were we and others who visited her. The nurses, care staff, domestic staff and administration staff were all friendly, professional and supportive.

Unfortunately, mum was only at Ash Ridge Court for 4 weeks and was too ill to be able to appreciate all the facilities of the home. It is in a truly beautiful position with views across the countryside out to sea. The gardens are large and easily accessible. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well equipped. Thank you, Ash Ridge Court for taking such care of mum, and us, at the end of her life.

Sadly my father was only at Ashridge Court for a short time but we were very impressed with every aspect of the home. He was treated with dignity, care and compassion. The kindness shown to my father was extended to us; we were welcomed at any time and always kept up to date and involved regarding my father's health.

No management at the time of entry. The home was excellent from previous experience from previous family member who stayed before this time.

All aspects were rather disjointed for some time but all being addressed by the new manager.

My parents have been residents at Ashridge Court for more than two years. My mother has been in the dementia wing where her care in spite of her deterioration and increased needs has been attentive and sensitive. My father has also received a level of care which reassures me that he is safe and comfortable.

I have absolutely no problems with both my parents living at Ashridge Court Care Centre.
Everything is first class.
In the three years they have lived there we have had no reason to worry about their care.

It is like one big happy family.

Generally an excellent care home with friendly staff and a caring environment. The only downside would be the lack of parking, particularly when the home is having staff training days.

The nursing side of the care home and in particular the dementia unit provides an excellent service. I have a good rapport with the nurses and carers. I, however, feel that the activities for Hazel unit have declined.

The office processes fail to use all the modern tools, I get my mother's monthly statement followed a few day later by one for additional services, this is all on expensive headed notepaper and could have been emailed to me. This also applies to any correspondence from the home, only the other day I had what I considered a round robin letter sent to me and as if my mother had just gone into care. I understand not everyone has email but at least give it as an option.
