I reviewed many nursing homes in the Eastbourne area recently when my mother needed to go into care. Although she has now only been there for a few weeks, I am more than satisfied that I made the right choice. The room and facilities are excellent, the staff clearly striving to treat residents (and visitors) with care and consideration. There are less expensive homes, but there are also more expensive too. There are no hidden extras here. Perfect? Not quite all the time of course, but as close as anyone could reasonably expect.

I have found the home to be welcoming, caring and professionally run. All staff are excellent and my mum-in-law is receiving exceptional care in a friendly and empathetic environment. I am very happy with the choice we made for her and we are able to visit throughout the day and stay as long as we want. Thank you to everyone at Elstree.

Activities coordinator is 100%, very good indeed. We miss her a lot and love her energy and enthusiasm. Wish she was giving us activities for the week not just on Wednesdays.

Mostly satisfied with the care and nursing provided. Feel that when new carers are employed they do not know the client's history or requirements and should be teamed with an experienced carer in the first instance.

My father entered Elstree Court Care Home on 3/5/16 suffering from terminal cancer - although very ill, he was completely lucid. He was placed in in a very spacious, well appointed room where he felt at home. As someone who owned a dental practice for 43 years, I can recognise staff quality - Elstree Court Care Home's staff are outstanding. Caring and cheerful, they interacted wonderfully with my father and made his final weeks as good as they could have been.

This place is very very friendly. We chat and talk to one and another they make you mix well. They want to make sure that you are happy. Always I miss my hot cup of tea I really like it. Thank you all. I have my own choice of food and drink which is very good and pleasant.

My mother's overall care is good. She is encouraged to join in with social activities and to eat with the other residents. She needs help eating and this is given. The response time as regards her care buzzer is very good. Overall I am very happy with her care.

My parents are both in a safe and caring environment. Their every needs are catered for. Food is varied and enjoyable. Entertainment is laid on every work day with several lounges to be with company or on your own. The staff are all very friendly and visitors are always made welcome with refreshments.

As a Registered Nurse, Yolanda has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.
Yolanda closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.
She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Elstree Court.
When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Yolanda remarked:
“I just love to see all of the Residents and staff happy to be in the home.”
Outside of work, Yolanda enjoys cycling, cooking and watching her all-time favourite films.
