My husband was transfered from hospital to Eltree Court for end of life care He rallied and really looked forward to mealtimes + enjoyed the varied menu, the manament and staff are outstanding and I can't thank them enough for all care and attention he had in his last days.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We are deeply honoured that we were able to care for your husband during such an important time. It means a great deal to hear that he enjoyed the meals and found comfort during his stay with us.
We are grateful to have been part of your husband's...
Not only did the all the staff support my ninety one year old husband but they supported me at a particularly worrying time. A big THANK YOU to Elstree Court
Mum was a resident at Elstree Court for over three years. During that time she was content, well fed and very well cared for. She had a lovely, spacious room with an en suite wet room. She personalised her room and it was always kept clean and tidy. The home is well run and queries and administrative arrangements are handled efficiently. All the staff treated Mum kindly and respectfully and took the time to chat and get to know her. Lots of varied activities and some outings are organised for the residents, and their friends and families are made to feel very welcome at events throughout the year. Elstree is large enough to offer modern facilities with a spacious garden and plenty of parking, but cosy enough to be friendly and for all the residents to be treated as individuals. Having the convenience and reassurance of a nursing team is extremely beneficial.
My uncle moved to Elstree Care Home in October 2025. He did not want to leave his home, but ill health meant he needed full time care. From the moment he arrived, he was made to feel welcome by all at Elstree (staff). He was shown dignity and kindness and soon regarded it as his home. Unfortunately he passed away in December. Thanks to all at Elstree for everything.
My mother was very shaken by her fall at previous rest home - though absolutely no one was at fault for the fall occurring. Once settled at Elstree court, she was very happy and although her severe hearing loss could prove a problem she enjoyed building up a 'rapport' with the staff. I think I can say on her behalf that Elstree Court was a very happy place for her to spend the last years of her "early existence".
There is an excellent leadership team run by the experienced and understanding manager.
Dad was made to feel very welcome on his arrival after a 3 week stay in hospital. His mobility was diminished and he was treated with care and kindness at all times. The activities were interesting and varied. The food was tailored to his needs and he was helped to eat when needed. He was treated with dignity and respect at all times especially in his final days. We would recommend Elstree Court to persons in this areas.
When I arrived, I felt very welcome. I was given privacy and plenty to do when I wanted to be with other people. I made choices. My whole family were invited to events and activities. The home staff were very friendly and made me feel at home. The food is excellent.
Mum loves living at Elstree Court and she calls it "home". All of the care team are friendly to family and give excellent care and attention to mum. Mum had a health issue during the month and was looked after here until an ambulance arrived, was asked after whilst she was in hospital, and was collected and nursed back at Elstree Court as soon as the hospital discharged her. She is doing so well just for being back in her "home"
My brother is very happy here. All the staff take great care of him and give him a lot of attention. The activities are conducted Mondays to Fridays which is so good for my brother. The managers organise regular functions inviting family members with good quality entertainers. Visiting family members are made very welcome and coffee/tea is made available. Probably one of the best homes in Eastbourne.
My husband has been in Elstree Court for a month. He was previously in another nursing home and was very depressed. He had been in Elstree Court previously for respite since being in Elstree Court he has improved immensely he is happy, eating well and enjoying life again. I can only thank the wonderful staff who are kind, thoughtful and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble.
My wife suffered from vascular dementia, after staying 4 weeks in the hospital in Eastbourne, she was admitted to Elstree Courts as she required full-time nursing care. The management and the staff were amazing throughout in all respects. Unfortunately, she passed away on the 24th of June 2024. If there is such a place to die in peace Elstree Court was certainly that for my wife and the family.
The Assistant Manager gave our family 100% support when our brother was admitted to Elstree Court Eastbourne. She is such a kind person who always greets people with a lovely smile! We did have a small problem but she was very professional in sorting the problem out, we wish there were even more people like her in this world! Also, our family are very pleased with the staff at Elstree all so very kind. Sadly we were told our brother couldn't stay as they had a couple of instances that were out of his control.
Thank you all for looking after Mum after her discharge from hospital. She has settled in very well and is very happy here. She is pleased with the attention given by all the staff and enjoys the food and is eating very well. All of the family are very happy with the care received.
Amazing home everyone that works here is so lovely and caring to everyone. My mum is as happy as she can be.
My whole experience with Elstree Court has been absolute satisfactory. The whole staff team at this nursing home have helped my dad settle in and also stabilize him to the point I can now take him out. Can't thank this nursing home enough.
My mother has been in this care home for over a year now. The staff are excellent and treat her with great kindness and respect. The food is very good which my mother enjoys. The home is very tidy and clean. There are activities going on every day and the home organises events throughout the year for residents and relatives. Visitors are always welcome and often offered tea and biscuits. It is a great relief that my mum is being well cared for.
I have been here now for four years and feel very much at home. The staff are always helpful and pleasant and I got on very well with them. I feel quite free to express my opinions in a responsible way and enjoy being part and parcel of being in the garden room.
Not only did the staff at Elstree take excellent care of my husband during the short time my husband was a resident, your staff took so much care of me, always ready to give a comforting word, words cannot express my heartfelt thanks.
I feel very comfortable that the home provides all his needs. All staff I have met are friendly and approachable.
