The whole staff - managers' nurses, carers, chefs and housekeeping are lovely, warm and really work together as a team. This means the residents benefit from a cohesive workforce. They were marvellous to my mother. Thank you.
Food is great.
Room great and clean.
Lovely home, Grandad well cared for. Staff are amazing.
My partner passed away at Elstree Court in January this year, I would like to thank the Manager and all the staff at Elstree Court for the support and kindness shown to me and the family during his last days. My father was at Elstree Court for nearly two years and during this time the whole team were superb, nothing was to much trouble for them and he was treated with dignity and kindness during his whole stay. Was not easy finding a home for him but I am so pleased I found Elstree Court and have no hesitation recommending them.
My wife and I would like to thank all of the staff at Elstree Court Eastbourne for the care they showed my mother during her stay and their continuing care of all residents. All staff are attentive to residents needs, above and beyond expectations. Whenever we discuss the home with friends and relatives we are unable to praise you enough. We would also like to thank you for the support you offered us.
My mother has been a resident at Elstree for over two years. She was very fragile and quite unwell when she arrived due to an accident which occurred whilst at respite in London. With the attention and care of the staff, my mother flourished to the best of her abilities. I know my mother is being well looked after which is reassuring when one is unable to visit. Staffing has always been consistent and management will always find time to listen. Communication has been excellent throughout this difficult year. I really could not be more happier knowing my mother is in a safe place and genuinely cared for. Every staff member makes Elstree a pleasant place to be.
My mother has received excellent care during her time at Elstree. the staff are kind and caring and very professional. I cannot praise them enough.
I am very pleased with all aspects of the care home. At the moment visiting is down to one person per resident a week due to the Coronavirus lockdown and being very concerned about the health of their residents they adhere to all guidelines and recommendations. The manager and her staff are all very approachable and it seems that nothing is too much trouble for them. The manager is very knowledgeable in every aspect of care.
Just over two years ago my elder brother had a serious fall at home and was taken into hospital, and it became necessary for him to be taken into care. My wife and I were recommended to visit Elstree Court. The moment we entered the door we were greeted with a smile, we were shown to the vacant room and quickly realised we would have to look no further. We were very impressed with the room and my brother settled in very quickly, and the care he was treated with was very kindly and professionally, throughout his stay.
We can thoroughly recommend Elstree Court without hesitation.
We were unable to take a look around prior to his admission due to Coronavirus prevention measures but the manager was very reassuring and left us in no doubt that Dad would be cared for.
We have been using our own video device to enable us to see Dad. All the staff have made these calls go really smoothly. On every call, we have observed that Dad looks well-cared for and extremely smart. He also seems to be more alert and engaged than he was in the previous home. The staff give us privacy but also engage with us in a friendly and courteous manner when setting the call up and at the end. They always leave his bell and drink within reach.
Communication from the manager has been excellent with regular updates on Dad's welfare and activities.
We can't thank the staff enough for alleviating our anxiety and caring for Dad.
Mum was cared for by the staff at Elstree for more than a year until she sadly passed away. We cannot thank the management, nurses, carers and extended team enough for the wonderful way they looked after her during that time. She was always treated with the greatest kindness and respect and their affectionate, good-humoured rapport with her made such a difference. Mum could not have been in safer or more reliable hands. On more than one occasion their quick thinking and action saved her from traumatic A&E admission. Professional and discreet but incredibly warm and friendly, they are, without exception, the most genuine, kind-hearted group of people you could hope for to entrust with a loved one. They welcomed our Dad, my sister and me as friends on our daily visits and we will never forget their compassion and support in Mum’s final days. We would recommend anyone looking for care at its absolute best to consider Elstree.
Having gone through nasty medical experiences I have come out the other side, living at Elstree Court Care Home as a happy balanced person with plenty to do - in fact my day is very FULL of lovely people and a super room with everything I wish for, lovely and happy.
Every time I visit, I find the staff very helpful and the rooms are spotless. There is always some form of activity going on so everyone has something to keep them amused. Also, the menu has a good selection of meals to choose from. I found the visiting hours very flexible which allows me to work around my spare time.
I cannot praise this nursing home and it's staff enough. They treated my relative with respect and first-class care. I would recommend to anyone looking for elderly care.
She was very well cared for and obviously felt very comfortable there. The staff were so kind and helpful, even making sandwiches for her when she felt 'peckish' during the night!
When I visited I always felt welcome, the staff were all very friendly, plus keeping me informed of any medical issues that arose.
I can't praise them highly enough.
The only complaint that is raised by the resident is the slow response to alarm call, especially during the night. This cannot be confirmed.
Thank you for your review. I understand on this occasion there was a short delay to the call bell being answered as four Residents were ringing at the same time. Our call bell records are checked at the end of each shift with staff being reminded that they have a maximum of 5 minutes to respond....
Thank you to the manager and your staff for your kindness.
I recommend this care home to all elderly people who need company. Special care and attention and understanding. Wonderful love and attention from all staff working here.
She quickly settled in and sees it as her home now and the staff like family. It's a relief to know she is happy and well looked after.
I have been here for respite care as I know the home well as my husband spent his last few years here. I have received excellent treatment and care from all the staff. I would definitely return here is necessary. I have a food intolerance and enormous help was given to me regarding this problem.
