Thank you for your review, we value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. We are sorry your experience of our home was not to your expectations. Our own enquiries and those by external agencies have been undertaken in relation to the claim of harm and the area director is meeting with the friend next week to discuss the alleged theft though it is difficult to investigate when valuables are left at reception unattended out of hours. We are sorry calls went unanswered at the weekend; we will look into this matter as we were unaware there is an issue.
Thank you for your review, we value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. Due to confidentiality, we cannot discuss matters raised about your friend, but we can advise any concerns were dealt with, and feedback was given to the family. It can take time for some residents to adjust to living in a care setting, especially those with dementia. It may also take us some time to understand residents as they may not be able to express their needs. A full investigation into alleged colleague conduct was carried out but there was no evidence to support this claim by the home or adult social care. Had this been raised at the time we would have been able to immediately deal with any issues. Our allocations system in the home means all colleagues work on both floors so there is no difference in the care provided only in the care needs of residents as one community is nursing and the other is dementia. We regularly have resident dependency reviews to ensure accurate staffing levels are in place. Police involvement was not wanted by the resident and her partner and as per contract we are not responsible for lost items, but we do have a safe for residents’ use. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you wish to discuss anything further. Due to yours and others valued feedback we have shared lessons learnt across the whole home which has enabled us to enhance the wonderful care we offer to all our residents.
Thank you for your review, we value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. Your friend has stayed with us for respite care several times now and no concerns have been raised on any of these occasions other than her next of kin who requested support with meals, and this was dealt with immediately at the time. We have reviewed the care files and have found no cause for concern; all aspects of your friend’s care needs have been met. Additionally, the next of kin, with whom we have spoken, was very happy with the care during the resident’s time with us. Recent catering audits and internal assessments have found the home to be operating to the expected standards with no issues raised. Should you wish to discuss this further, you are welcome to liaise with the Home Manager at Coppice Court.
