The carers and staff have really been exceptional and very professional throughout dad's stay from 2011 though to his death in November 2015. They have built a very close relationship with dad and this has resulted in the final years of his life being very happy and fulfilled despite a touch of dementia.
The
family will be forever grateful for the love and care provided. Albeit at a considerate cost. My only negative would be having to pay for dad's room for 30 days after his death at £85 a day. This seems very commercial and slightly distasteful.

Much more like a hotel than a care home. Bright friendly surroundings and a caring environment. Varied and flexible menu. The Bistro area is a brilliant idea and perfect for meeting and chatting with friends or family. Staff have always been approachable and helpful.

The things that have remained constant throughout that time are the dedication and unfaltering kindness my colleagues deliver every day. Every day is different, there is always something going on which makes you smile. We are committed to filling the resident's days with happy moments. My role is to market our home and welcome new residents into it while dealing with professionals and family members. Offering support when making a significant decision at a critical time. We have a beautiful product, lovely food, a great activities programme (including minibus outings) and caring staff, all coupled with happy residents and family members.

Job Title: Nurse Care Manager

I have been a nurse for 20 years and before I left Romania I was the Occupational Health Nurse for a petroleum/chemical company. In 2010 I came to the UK and joined Eastbourne Gardens in 2012 as a Bank Nurse. I was so impressed with the beautiful environment, the calm and welcoming atmosphere and the Signature ethos of care that I joined the company as a full-time Wellness Nurse. In 2015 I stepped up for six months into the Nurse Care Manager role before being appointed permanently.


I enjoy leading a team of dedicated nurses and care assistants who want to ensure our residents' lives are fulfilled to the best of their abilities. No two days are the same and I enjoy caring for our seniors and seeing them flourish. It is so rewarding when new residents arrive and I watch them make friends and start enjoying the many activities on offer and the fabulous food as they become part of our family.
