During the time that my mother lived at Victoria Chatsworth, the care and attention received from all the carers and nursing staff was fantastic. When she needed palliative care this was excellent, she was treated with gentleness, respect and dignity,
As a family, we all felt well looked after too
and would like to thank the staff for everything they did until she passed away.

My mother stayed at Victoria Chatsworth care home for 9 months. In this time she was looked after with dignity, care and respect. The staff at all times looked after my mother's best interests. They were patient and kind. They tried their best to make my mother's time at the home as much as possible
a place where she could feel at home.

- Better information about what's going on would be helpful, especially in advance. (Verbally, as I can no longer see to read).
- I like chicken pieces, mashed potatoes and three vegetables to include sprouts and sliced carrot and broccoli. Don't like thin beans or baby carrots
- Otherwise, I like
the room and the view
- Had problems with the mattress not being on the frame, but now fixed and very comfortable
- Especially enjoy the musician coming

Overall my mother has been happy at the home and as she has been there for over 5 years, they obviously know her well. Problem is that now she has dementia, it is difficult to believe what she says about life/everything. She won't join in activities unfortunately and could do with more mental stimulation
- but that is her decision!


Apart from that, the food is good and I believe that the staff treat her well.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Relatives were treated with the utmost care. When our son died, they were there for us and afterwards.

My mum was admitted to the Victoria Chatsworth at short notice. She was greeted and reassured by the staff. Every effort was made to encourage her to be social. Her room had a good view over the garden and it was spacious. We were encouraged to bring in personal items - pictures etc to make mum feel
at home. Every effort was made to support mum and me! I will aways be grateful to the Victoria Chatsworth team.

Mum appears to be satisfied with all of the care. She hasn't complained to me about her treatment. She is looked after by caring staff. Her appearance is good and obviously likes the food.
