Thank you for your review of Caer Gwent. I’m sorry that during your respite stay you were not happy with the quality of the food. Having spoken to you and your husband, as a direct result of this, Caer Gwent is developing a Catering Service Improvement plan and we will incorporate your feedback into that. We're glad that you were very pleased with the overall care that you did receive and you would look to come back to Caer Gwent in the future.
The work of our staff is focused on spending quality time with the individuals in our care, making sure they feel supported, happy and comfortable. We use a range of assessment tools and care planning documents to evidence the care we provide but on a day to day basis spending time with people is more important to us than spending large periods of time documenting the work we’ve undertaken. The care planning software we have in place is nationally recognised and meets our regulatory responsibilities. We believe through the software we use that we achieve the right balance.

My name is Emma and I’m the Housekeeping Manager at Caer Gwent.
