Moving home is always traumatic but it was pure joy moving to Drumconnor. As the user is wheelchair bound he was collected by Drumconnor staff in their specially equipped transporter van then driven onto Drumconnor. Cheerful introductions and laughter put the user at ease. More welcoming faces and introductions to staff from an assortment of positions prepared the way to his chosen room and the comfort of the recliner. The ever ready British cup of tea preceded lunch. From the entrance hall, lift, corridor and the user's room, everywhere was spotlessly clean and smelt fresh. The room had a view of the sea which brought a smile to the new user's face. Having been born in Brighton the sea plays an important part in one's life. Recognising an avid Elvis Presley and football fan the maintenance staff affixed his extensive collection of memorabilia to the walls of his room. As a socially adept man his photographs and other objects readily inspire conversations with staff and visitors.
We are delighted to hear that the move to Drumconner was such a positive one and that our team helped make the transition comfortable and welcoming. It is lovely to know that the sea view, personalised room and friendly support from our staff have helped your loved one feel at home. Your kind words about our team and environment are greatly appreciated and will be shared with everyone involved.
My sister has been at Drumconner for 4 years. She absolutely loves it, and the staff are lovely and take very good care of her. The food is really good and the staff are always on had to speak to if needed.
Thank you for your kind review. We are delighted to hear that your sister has been so happy at Drumconner over the past four years. Your lovely comments about our caring staff and the quality of our food are greatly appreciated.
My friend had superb care in a private room, with her own personal bathroom and a lovely sea view. Her room and the entire home was clean, comfortable and inviting. The care was professional, with friendly, kind staff. I would recommend Drumconner to anyone.
My grandpa spent a few months at Drumconner Care Home, and I can honestly say we couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the very beginning, the staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely caring-not just toward him, but toward our whole family.
My partner needs a lot of nursing care and I am more than happy with the care he receives. All the staff are lovely and make me feel very welcome when I visit. He has dementia and I feel well supported by the nurses and carers
If anyone is looking for excellent care for a loved one I would urge them NOT to heed the latest CQC report but to visit Drumconner and see for yourself.
Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful feedback. We are so pleased to hear that your friend feels supported both physically and emotionally, and that she is able to maintain choice and independence in her daily routine. Your lovely comments about our team, especially Annie and Chloe, will...
What an amazing care home. Heard it was the best and can confirm it now! Mum was so well looked after. Best food best rooms best care! Always staff were able to answer questions on her health and well being or were able to get help in doing so. Nothing more we could ask for.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We are delighted to hear your mum was so well cared for and that our team could support you throughout.
During my mother's stay at Drumconner both my self and mum found the staff kind and helpful, the care could not have been more attentive or better. Mum loved her environment, a room a lovely sea view where she would sitva gase out of the window.
Thank you for your kind review! We are delighted to hear that both you and your mother had a positive experience, and that our team provided attentive and compassionate care.

After moving my cousin from another home, we are both delighted with the standard of care, room, atmosphere , food, & the communication between staff & cousin. He is so happy at Drumconner. We are welcomed every visit , Anne & Chloe on reception are very welcoming & friendly, they pass on messages from my cousin if he wants to see us. They also accept his many online shopping orders, taking them up to him. The nurses, deputy & manager, are always accessible, answering any questions or concerns , they also keep us informed on all medical updates. It's wonderful to be reassured that my cousin is happy and well looked after .
Thank you so much for your kind review. We are delighted to hear that your cousin is happy and settling in well. It means a great deal to us that you feel reassured by the care, communication, and welcoming atmosphere. We will be sure to pass your lovely comments on to Anne, Chloe, and the whole team.
Mum is content, comfortable and happy there which is very reassuring for our family.
I feel strongly that the recent damming CQC report does not reflect the high quality of care I have witnessed.
Thank you so much for your lovely message, Elaine. It is wonderful to hear how happy and settled your mum has been at Drumconner since April 2025. Your kind words about the staff, the food and the activities really mean a lot. Most importantly, knowing your mum feels content and comfortable is so reassuring.
The food is always delicious and hot xx
We have always found all the carers to be very helpful and friendly and we get on very well with all the staff xx we are very pleased with every aspect of care mum receives and so is she xx
I have taken my own step mum to visit mum and she's amazed at how lovely Drumconner is xx
We are delighted to hear that your mother-in-law has been so happy with us since August 2024 and that you and your husband always feel welcome when visiting. It is wonderful to know that you enjoy the food and that our carers and staff have been...
Sadly, in December my aunt became unwell and was admitted to hospital where she passed away later the same day. However, my mother was unaware of this and only found out six days later. My mother was very distressed and disappointed not to have been informed.
I subsequently rang Drumconner to ask why my mother had not been informed on the day my aunt was taken to hospital. My mother had ensured that the home had her correct contact details as she was the only close relative living locally. If my mother had been informed she would have gone to the hospital to sit with her sister.
I requested that the home manager contact my mother (or myself) so she could explain the circumstances and answer my mother's questions, but this has not happened.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for your kind words about the care your aunt received at Drumconner. We are pleased to hear that she felt comfortable, supported and able to build positive relationships with our team.
We are very sorry to hear of your aunt's passing and...
Everyone is so friendly and helpful and I feel happy to know that my mother is being cared for 24 hours a day.
Thank you for your kind words. We're delighted to hear that you and your mother are happy, and we'll be sure to share your feedback with the team
Our family have been in constant communication with all the team there, as well as being supported as well. It's a beautiful nursing home with clean and excellent facilities/food/activities.
Thank you so much for your review. We're truly touched to hear about the positive impact our team has had on your grandmother's life and are grateful for the opportunity to support both her and your family. It's wonderful to know that she is regaining mobility and enjoying her time with us.
I cannot speak highly enough of the staff care and activities provided for mum.
Thank you, we appreciate your kind feedback and will pass it on to the team!
I was initially very worried about how my mother-in-law would settle into Drumconner. The staff have been brilliant in helping her to settle in look after her and involve her in the daily activities of the home. This is appreciated by the family.
Thank you for your kind words. We're so pleased to hear you're mother-in-law has settled in and is enjoying the activities!
I have found all the staff to be really kind and helpful. They made my mother's first few weeks comfortable and helped her to settle into a new environment, especially after being so independent. They have taken great care with her health issues ensuring she received prompt attention from medical staff. I cannot fault the kindness that has been shown to her.
My friend was admitted into the home in January after suffering a stroke. The staff are so warm, welcoming and helpful. The home is always very clean and looks wonderful. The food is amazing and I have been able to enjoy lunch with my friend on several occasions. I would highly recommend Drumconner Homes Lancing.
We cannot 'wax lyrical' enough on how pleased we were to get our Mum into Drumconner. Thank you to all The Team/Management for their kindness, cheerfulness, and professionalism. We would certainly recommend Drumconner to anyone who is seeking care.
