Eastridge Manor Dementia Nursing Home

Very good care. Deal well with difficult situations. Compassionate with patient and family. Clean and comfortable.

I would like to see more activities at the weekend as well as exercise for the more able-bodied, every day. Also visiting dogs would add interest. Food is good and appreciated. Sometimes difficult to locate a Carer for toilet help, especially weekends. Any anxieties are dealt with sympathetically and helpfully and nursing staff are ready to deal with problems efficiently.

Dad has settled well into Eastridge Manor and is well cared for. His individual needs are respected and encouragement given when necessary. The staff have all been caring and interested, enabling a recent family celebration to include Dad as well.

Eastridge Manor is also set in acres of land, which is very well looked after and we will look forward to using the gardens in the summer.

I have always found that the care of my wife at Eastridge Manor has always been very good.

The staff are excellent and very caring.

After visiting many care homes, I am so pleased to have found Eastridge Manor. My stepmother settled in well and the staff are very professional, helpful and welcoming.

For our family, agreeing for my Mother to enter a nursing home was one of the most difficult and upsetting decisions we have had to make. We can leave Eastridge after our visits in the certain knowledge that she is safe, cared for and respected both as a resident and as part of the Eastridge community.

When I was looking for a nursing home for my mother, I saw 9 other homes before I visited Eastridge Manor. I wish I had visited it earlier because it would have saved me a lot of time. My visit to check it out over 5 years ago went very well, nothing has changed (except refurbishment and a new lift.) The staff were all very friendly and attentive and at the time I felt happy that my mother would be staying there. As she had a severe stroke, Mum has a number of healthcare needs and requires attention from the staff regularly each day. The carers always ensure that she is included in daily activities even though her input is minimal and I never feel anxious that the provision of her needs and care will be less than excellent. The information and contact that I receive is always timely, on a regular basis from the nursing and admin staff. My mother is happy, contented and cared for extremely well. I would recommend that anyone looking for a nursing home should visit Eastridge Manor.

I thoroughly recommend Eastridge Manor. My mother has received excellent and sympathetic care and even though she has advanced dementia, always appears happy and content. The staff have always been very helpful, yet not intrusive. It is always difficult to have a loved one in a care home and relatives can feel a great sense of guilt trying to fit their own busy life with the needs of a relative in care. I feel that Eastridge Manor provide non-judgemental support for the needs of both resident and relatives.

Staff are always cheerful and helpful, despite working in a challenging environment, with many residents being unable to express their wishes/needs. However, those residents who are very vocal and loud do get on the nerves of some of the other residents I have noticed.

All in all very pleased with the care my Partner is receiving, especially as his healthcare needs continue to increase.
