Originally a country home, Pendean House has been transformed and modernised to provide care for people who require nursing and residential care. Care is also offered to those requiring Parkinson's care and palliative care. Short and long-term stays are welcome.

Pendean House is set within its own large grounds, offering tranquil landscaped gardens complete with a sensory garden and patio areas, and pathways designed for wheelchair access.

Elegant interiors feature oak panelling and decorated fireplaces in comfortable and spacious rooms, while all bedrooms come with en suite facilities and a 24-hour call system for peace of mind. A lift ensures easy access to all floors of the home. Residents have access to an onsite library, an optician, a nutritionist, reminiscence sessions and relaxation therapy.

As an enhanced service to residents, weekly GP visits are conducted at Pendean House Care Home, enabling residents to receive regular, personalised medical reviews as part of the approach to person-centred care.

Residents can enjoy fresh meals daily whilst enjoying views of the well-kept garden.

The home spends time ensuring that the calendar of events at the home is engaging and entertaining. Events such as cocktail parties, theatre trips and music shows can be enjoyed in Pendean House.

My mother had a stroke mid-June 2016, she stayed at Pendean House Care Home after coming our of hospital and before returning home. My initial contact with Pendean was extremely reassuring. A nurse visited mum in hospital to carry out an assessment of her needs. All the Pendean House staff provided
her and the visitors with a warm welcome. Mum found all the staff helpful efficient and mentally stimulating which was very important after her stay in hospital. Pendean House Care Home helped me find a great physio who came into the home to provided physio support which was fundamental to mums recovery. Thank you to everyone at Pendean for your support warmth and professionalism.

My ex-wife, who is very dear to me, entered Pendean House Care Home in August. My partner and I have visited my ex-wife twice and I will be going again this weekend. She is being cared for in a wonderful way. The house is beautiful. The facilities excellent. The staff are absolutely superb. I and my
ex's brother and close friends are so comforted by the way she is being looked after. The care she gets is the very best we and she could expect. We send thanks to all at Pendean for their compassion and care.

We are always made very welcome as visitors at once. there is an atmosphere of calm and extreme cleanliness. Also the staff are always so kind and helpful to our old friend (who is nearly 90) so well cared for and happy.

Pendean management and staff are just wonderful, all staff. The home is clean, well managed and works well. The care level is so so good. My mother was a resident for nearly 2 and a half years. I cannot find a single fault. The care of the nurses and the compassion they demonstrated is way beyond the
call of duty. I cannot thank everyone enough.

We have a beautiful room available with views over the garden, the room is very light and spacious with plenty of room for an integrated sitting room. The home benefits from a large en-suite wet room and there is additional space for a small walk in wardrobe

I am a Senior Care Assistant at Pendean House as well as an Engagement Champion and Fire Trainer.


When my dad died from cancer his care wasn't the best. I started working with a home care agency and later came to Pendean in the hope I could make a difference in people's lives.


What I love most about working at a care home is that every day is different and I have the privilege of assisting our elderly residents in their day-to-day life at Pendean House.


Outside of work, I am mum to 5 amazing children and I am slightly animal crazy! My dream is to swim with pigs in the Bahamas!
