A most excellent home. Staff were always friendly to residents and visitors. The personal care was regular and carried out to a high standard. I had full confidence that my wife was in the best hands. The building was clean and tidy, and the food was to a good standard.

My brother went to live at Apsley House in July. Straight away we were made to feel welcome. He was well cared for and he loved the outside area by the fountain. My brother passed away on 1st October 2022. They made his last few days peaceful. I was with him over those days and I was also well looked
after.

The care given to my mother is without fault. She seems as comfortable as is possible and always clean and tidy, which must be difficult as she is immobile and doubly incontinent. Very happy we decided to move Mum into Apsley House - 2 and a half years ago.

I have been impressed with everything about Apsley House. Despite my Dad (resident) being difficult, the staff have all been excellent, very attentive, and patient! The overall facility is lovely, in a great location and well run, yet with a welcome informality and friendly atmosphere.

I find the care makes me feel like being at home. I enjoy the activities. The permanent staff are very good but not the agency staff.

The care provided in this nursing home is second to none. It has a very homely feel about it, with its resident cat and home-cooked food. The staff treat my husband with courtesy and respect and the nursing care is excellent. The activities provided for the residents is interesting and varied. The management
of this home is highly effective - I cannot recommend it enough.

My mother was cared for with dignity and humility, and all of the staff were caring and supportive of us as a family when my mother passed. The care home is in a beautiful setting and I know my mother is now at peace.

You are an amazing and incredible team! We are eternally grateful for all the love, care and kindness you showed our Mum at her end of life. Mum was very happy at your residence and just what she needed for a short time of relaxation and contentment. Living with glaucoma definitely put a huge strain

I would like to thank the management and staff for caring from my Mother from February 2020 to July 2020 when she passed away, being very well cared for. Everyone was so helpful and kind and sometimes Mum would leave her phone on by a mistake after we said goodbye and I could hear the staff caring (and
having a laugh) with Mum and they wouldn't have known. Mum said the food was fantastic too. Thank you for looking after our lovely Mum (I live in Australia and it was very reassuring that I could be in touch 24 hours a day). The manager in charge is just amazing.

My friend's nan has been a resident at the home for over three years. The care that the staff provide is second to none, they are always there to help and provide support whenever we need it. The chef is award winning for her home-cooked foods and sublime daily menu's. Nothing is too much for her. The
home is very clean and very homely, its just like a home from home. The daily activities and outings are superb and lots of fun. Keep up the good work. Management are always making improvements to the enviorment making it modern with a very homely atmophere.

My mother arrived at Royal Bay Nursing Home following a stroke that left her unable to more herself around. The care, support and professionalism of the nurses and carers was excellent. They did everything possible to make Mum as comfortable as possible during the last few months of her life.

My late mum was admitted to the home on 31.12.15, suffering from terminal cancer. She passed away peacefully on 06.01.16.


The home was chosen, by us as a family, having met and been impressed with the manager's vast experience and warmth in this area, which came at a difficult time for our family.

The home was also strongly recommended by other health care professionals, which was very encouraging. During mum's stay, she was attended to and made to feel as comfortable as possible, for the remaining time left of her life, by the staff, whose kindness was also extended to us as a family and meant that when the end inevitable came, though it was a huge and devastating loss for us, the RB staff made it as easy as possible.
