The care provided in this nursing home is second to none. It has a very homely feel about it, with its resident cat and home-cooked food. The staff treat my husband with courtesy and respect and the nursing care is excellent. The activities provided for the residents is interesting and varied. The management of this home is highly effective - I cannot recommend it enough.

My mother was cared for with dignity and humility, and all of the staff were caring and supportive of us as a family when my mother passed. The care home is in a beautiful setting and I know my mother is now at peace.

You are an amazing and incredible team! We are eternally grateful for all the love, care and kindness you showed our Mum at her end of life. Mum was very happy at your residence and just what she needed for a short time of relaxation and contentment. Living with glaucoma definitely put a huge strain on her very capable self. Many thanks again......Superb!

I would like to thank the management and staff for caring from my Mother from February 2020 to July 2020 when she passed away, being very well cared for. Everyone was so helpful and kind and sometimes Mum would leave her phone on by a mistake after we said goodbye and I could hear the staff caring (and having a laugh) with Mum and they wouldn't have known. Mum said the food was fantastic too. Thank you for looking after our lovely Mum (I live in Australia and it was very reassuring that I could be in touch 24 hours a day). The manager in charge is just amazing.

My friend's nan has been a resident at the home for over three years. The care that the staff provide is second to none, they are always there to help and provide support whenever we need it. The chef is award winning for her home-cooked foods and sublime daily menu's. Nothing is too much for her. The home is very clean and very homely, its just like a home from home. The daily activities and outings are superb and lots of fun. Keep up the good work. Management are always making improvements to the enviorment making it modern with a very homely atmophere.

My mother arrived at Royal Bay Nursing Home following a stroke that left her unable to more herself around. The care, support and professionalism of the nurses and carers was excellent. They did everything possible to make Mum as comfortable as possible during the last few months of her life.

Overall Experience

My late mum was admitted to the home on 31.12.15, suffering from terminal cancer. She passed away peacefully on 06.01.16.

The home was chosen, by us as a family, having met and been impressed with the manager's vast experience and warmth in this area, which came at a difficult time for our family. The home was also strongly recommended by other health care professionals, which was very encouraging. During mum's stay, she was attended to and made to feel as comfortable as possible, for the remaining time left of her life, by the staff, whose kindness was also extended to us as a family and meant that when the end inevitable came, though it was a huge and devastating loss for us, the RB staff made it as easy as possible.

Highly recommended
