Entrance/lobby clean and prompt service to enter. Seemed to have plenty of staff who were friendly and welcoming. Treated my Dad very well and with respect, others not so well. Food seemed very good and large portions. Signage to rooms/stairs and dining room poor. Also the cleanliness of rooms/dining
room pretty poor. I lived over ninety minutes away but found phoning difficult to get a proper assessment over the phone from the nurses.

You have looked after my mum in a very caring and friendly way. She was treated with respect and dignity at all times. This all helped in her swift recovery. Also, I would like to thank all the staff for the friendship they showed towards myself and husband and the rest of the family when visiting.
The advice given has also been very helpful and we were offered food if required everyone was very helpful.

My Dad was a resident at Fulford for 4 months. It took him some time to settle as did we for his sake. Any minor problems we found were dealt with by the care managers promptly. They communicated with us on a regular basis.
They made him feel so at home and it was the happiest I had seen my dad for
years, I felt like I had seen my happy old dad again!
My dad had deteriorated in October, we were all told he had weeks left to live and this would be his end of life stages. Fulford was quick to make my dad as comfortable as possible. I visited every day for a week prior to his passing and I watched the staff so lovingly care for his needs and mine, offering me food, drinks and even just a chat.


On 24th October I got the awful call to say he had passed, I am so grateful for that comforting call to be told he went peacefully and that he was not alone, a care manager and nurse were with him to hold his hand.
I couldn't have asked for a better life for my dad and friends he made there.

My dad is here for respite for a few weeks. We are really impressed with the level of care he has received. He feels safe and well looked after which is what he wanted. We can't thank you enough for all your help.

Mum moved into the care home eight months ago. She is well cared for, well fed and the staff are always helpful. The care home is always clean and tidy. As are the staff. Nothing is too much trouble. I would not hesitate to recommend this care home to anyone.

My mum-in-law had a 2-week respite stay at Fulford Care and Nursing Home. I was quite anxious at the prospect of leaving her there after the bad start. On our arrival, the room she was to go into was being used as a store cupboard but this was quickly rectified.
Upon our return to pick her up she had
a wonderful time, stated she was well looked after and lots of activities she could take part in, she wants to go again when we are next on holiday.

My late husband's stay was made so much better by the care and concern by the staff. They were so warm and welcoming. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The day he passed away they were so supportive and sympathetic. His last few weeks were made so much more bearable, for which I will always be grateful.

Must be forgiven for my previous average write up. The problem of the very hot room was sorted out quickly by the maintenance team. Staff are very helpful. I learned something. Give the place a chance and don't be afraid to ask for things that need to be done. They are really very good staff given a
chance. Full marks from me and glad I gave them a chance. A + in school terms.

We have found Fulford a rest home we can trust for our elderly aunt. The staff have gone out of their way to help her settle in and have been very kind. They also keep us well informed both when we visit and by phone calls.
The décor is excellent and gives a good, relaxed atmosphere.

Mum was in Fulford Care home for 5 weeks. The staff are very kind and helpful. I would like to say the care worker was brilliant, very attentive to Mum and helpful to me when I needed to understand the personal care side of things (as mum has just recently become incontinent). The lady in the office
was particularly welcoming and helpful, setting up a nurse to visit mum when she was back home. Thank you.
