Overall good. Poor nighttime care. Having to wait up to one and a half hours for painkillers - not very good.

My stay was only temporary. I found the carers excellent but overworked. Sometimes carers/agency left a lot to be desired.

Must be forgiven for my previous average write up. The problem of the very hot room was sorted out quickly by the maintenance team. Staff are very helpful. I learned something. Give the place a chance and don't be afraid to ask for things that need to be done. They are really very good staff given a chance. Full marks from me and glad I gave them a chance. A + in school terms.

We have found Fulford a rest home we can trust for our elderly aunt. The staff have gone out of their way to help her settle in and have been very kind. They also keep us well informed both when we visit and by phone calls.

The décor is excellent and gives a good, relaxed atmosphere.

My mother was treated with respect. Her stay was a good starter for an introduction to more permanent care. Staff were very friendly and supportive.

Mum was in Fulford Care home for 5 weeks. The staff are very kind and helpful. I would like to say the care worker was brilliant, very attentive to Mum and helpful to me when I needed to understand the personal care side of things (as mum has just recently become incontinent). The lady in the office was particularly welcoming and helpful, setting up a nurse to visit mum when she was back home. Thank you.

The staff are very approachable and friendly towards residents and visitors. They cater for individual needs and activity coordinators take time with residents in group activities and on an individual basis.

It is very difficult for people to give up their own homes and move to a nursing home, but Fulford have made this transition as easy as possible.

My mum enjoyed her time at Summerlea whilst recovering from hospital. In her time there, she made a recovery to enable to return to her own home. She was well looked after with all the staff being supportive and encouraging. She enjoyed the meals, company and entertainment. Since she has left, she speaks very well of Summerlea and would like to return!
