I didn't know what to expect when I was suddenly told I was to be moved into a nursing home. I couldn't have been more surprised. The home was very luxurious in a homely way. Huge public rooms furnished with lounge suites. Tastefully furnished. In the month I was there I never heard a bad word amongst the staff. In fact everyone was smiling which made me feel well at home. I almost didn't want to leave.

I came here 10 days after a right hip operation performed at Nuffield Hospital. I was not feeling well when I arrived here, low sodium levels and very tired. The care and attention I received while here by all the nurses and carers and other members of staff have been always kind and considerate. People from all over the world work here they always work with a smile and nothing is too much trouble. The food is very good with a choice at every meal. I took part in some sitting exercises with others which felt good and also a bit of fun. I am leaving after two weeks restored to health. I arranged for a physiotherapist to visit me several times with exercises and walking. I am not ready to go home.Thank you.
Enjoyed my stay and would recommend joining in the activities.

I was looking for respite care for my husband while I was away on holiday for a couple of weeks. I cannot fault the service provided by the manager and all of the team. I found the place welcoming and the manager spent a lot of time understanding my husbands needs before his stay. Restarting into residential care is a big step, however now that my husband has experienced it, he would be happy to return if the need arises.
My stay at Cottenham Court was for just over 2 and a half weeks to convalesce after a hip operation in hospital. I received excellent care from both the nursing staff and carers, nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was first class (I think that I have put on over half stone!) My condition is now improving as is my confidence so I feel that although it cost me a lot of money it was worth it in helping me along the road to recovery.

Meet the Team (2)

We put our residents at the centre of everything we do, we are in this job because we care. Residents tell us they feel safe.

I have been at Cottenham Court just over a year, I first joined Bupa as a care assistant which I had been doing for 4 years then I got the opportunity to develop my career further as a trainee nurse associate.
What I love about my job is the people, we have a great team and amazing residents. It’s a great pleasure to work at Cottenham Court making a difference to peoples lives and making sure they receive a high standard of care.
I like to balance my work life with my social life; apart from studying I like to do crafting and love walking.
