Both parents were at Goodwins, my mother past away in March and we felt that the "end of life" care for mum was excellent. All staff were sympathetic and very kind. My father is still at Goodwins and we are regular updated on his welfare. This home has a very cheerful environment and as a family, we are very happy with the service provided.

I would like to thank the staff for the kindness and support provided to my father during his time at Goodwins Hall Nursing & Residential Care Home. This was evident throughout his time at the home but especially during the few days before he died. I also feel that the welcome provided to my mother who visited him daily and the rest of the family was genuinely inclusive. The support provided by a taxi driver linked to the house also provided valued opportunities for dad to spend some time in his own home. Many thanks to everyone.

Carers are efficient and always approachable. They are always available to assist my dad whenever he needs help moving from bed to chair. The nurses are fantastic and will anything to help. My dad was quite ill in early August and the speed with which the staff dealt with the problem was very impressive and reassuring.

Lovely atmosphere, super staff, very happy with Mum being looked after here.

Communication is very good at all levels. It's hard to place a close family member in a home and everyone has done their utmost to help us come to terms with it.

Nursing staff are competent and knowledgeable and welcome our comments on needs and care for Mum.

Incidents happen, but it is how staff react and take forward, and here I only have good words.

We arrived around 11am to visit our friend for the first time here. We felt the foyer to be warm and friendly, giving a good first impression. All the staff were pleasant and helpful and appeared to really care about the residents.
The coffee machine is a great idea. It gave us chance to sit quietly whilst our friend's wife was able to chat with him.
We felt his room was warm and comfortable and what a view!
We both have had relatives in good care homes and Goodwin's Hall ranked with them in every aspect.

Thank you

Still being mobile and able to walk around with a stick took me longer to really settle in and accept my changed lifestyle. their many facilities. I am now happy and the help and care is wonderful. Goodwins is surrounded by well-kept gardens which I am lucky enough to be able to walk around and enjoy. The staff and helpers are trained to work as a team which is very important and can be seen wheeling residents out and about. I am happy how to call it my home and enjoy the respect I get.

My mother has been in Goodwins Hall for 18 months (age 92) and my sister (down syndrome - age 56) has been here also for 3 years. The care they receive is satisfactory. Some staff are kinder than others. Food is good but my mother needs a soft option as she is unable to chew, this has not been seen to. Clothing gets lost and also gets ruined sometimes in the laundry. Staff do not consider colour coordination which would be a great help. Clothes are just put any old how in the drawers. Too much boxed medication stored in the resident's rooms, but on the whole, quite good.
