Hassingham House Care Centre

My brother spent the last few months of his life at Hassingham. The staff there were amazing. Especially his keyworker. She was incredible and we as a family are so grateful to her for her dedication and care of my brother. She really went above and beyond in her care and I know my brother loved and appreciated her. Hassingham has a lovely atmosphere when you walk in, the gardens are beautiful. All of the staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

My sister moved into Hassingham House on the 29th January. She was immediately made welcome by the staff. Everyone is so friendly. The home itself is lovely, clean, and feels so homely and inviting. She has made some lovely friends already, with both the staff and the other residents. She is so much happier here already than she was at her last home of 6 years. Having visited her, I was also made to feel so welcome. All the staff go above and beyond. It really is a fantastic home and I wish my sister many happy years here. We as a family cannot fault this home at all, it's amazing.

It is nice that my room is decorated with my favourite football team. I am happy living here. I have lived here for 11 years.

I have lived here for 14 years. The carers are always helpful. The activities staff are fun and full of different ideas. The choice is excellent and they are always here to talk to.

My grandad spent 11 months at Hassingham House Care Centre and they provided excellent care and support for both him and my wider family, particularly at the end-of-life stage. The nurses, carers and wider staff were all fantastic and the management was second to none. They made a difficult time as easy as possible.

My Aunt spent the last 3 years of her life in the wonderful, loving care of the brilliant staff at Hassingham House. Even during the Covid pandemic, the patience and professionalism of all the staff, the level of care and consideration she received never once faltered. The pandemic procedures heaped extra pressure on all the staff, but their strength and resilience always shone through with a smile, with the wellbeing of the residents always being their priority. The level of care, compassion and kindness was ever present and high standards of cleanliness remained exceptionally high. Their professionalism is exemplary and I cannot thank them or praise them enough for all their kindness, patience, understanding, love, care and attention given to my aunt - and to us. Nothing was too much trouble, from the tea ladies to the manager. Thank you all so much.

Today is the anniversary of my father's death. In honour of his memory, I want to (belatedly) pay tribute to my Hassingham family. From my first contact with the manager, I knew Dad was in the safest of hands. He was made to feel at home and thrived under the expert care and attention of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble - ordering his newspaper, helping him with his mobile phone so that we could keep in touch, giving him late-night snacks so that he was never hungry, listening to all his stories and encouraging him to socialise and make new friends. The hospital consultant was full of praise for the quality and consistency of dad's care (which prevented further surgery). They looked after me too, from a card and cake on my birthday to keeping me company late into the night during dad's final hours. Everyone made time and made a difference. Hassingham House is an oasis of kindness and compassion where outstanding care is delivered by exceptional people. Look no further.

All staff are friendly, efficient and professional at Hassingham House. This creates a homely and caring community in which to leave your loved one confidently, knowing that they will be safe, settled and treated as individuals with respect and understanding.

Dad has been receiving great care at Hassingham House Care Centre from a professional and dedicated team of people who really care about their residents and patients. Relatives and family are made to feel very welcome and at home with nothing too much trouble. Overall an excellent experience.

My dad was in Hassingham House Care Centre since April 2020 until 14th February 2022 the care he received from all staff (family) was very good. They were very kind, loving and respectful at all times. They made us feel very welcome when we visit Dad and always had a smile. Thank you.

I would like to think if in later life I had to, through circumstances, go into a home, that they would pick Hassingham House Care Centre.

When my 91-year-old mother with heart failure and vascular dementia deteriorated suddenly, I needed to find a care home that would cater for her needs better than I could provide when she was living with me. Over the years I have used various care homes for respite. None of them can compare with Hassingham House. My mother settled immediately - she was relaxed and happy. The staff, at every level, were wonderful with her - attentive, competent and caring to the end. They could not have been kinder. Each time I visited I left feeling confident that my mother was in the best place possible and her medical and care needs were being met fully. Nothing was too much trouble - the staff could not have provided better care for her.

I felt assured my mum was receiving the best care and was kept safe. This allowed me to have a relationship with my mum as daughter and not daughter and carer. The staff at Hassingham House are exemplary, kind and treated my mum with dignity and respect.

I cannot speak highly enough of the care given at Hassingham House Care Centre. The manager and all the staff couldn't be more caring and helpful to my husband, my son and to myself ay this very difficult time.

I would recommend Hassingham House 100% for all the care and support provided by all the wonderful staff. I can only say thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Our son went into Hassingham House last November with a terminal brain tumour, he was only 44 years old. It was quite difficult for him to settle in a home where he was the youngest resident. But all of the staff went out of their way to help him settle which was amazing. He became much happier in his self and more confident. Unfortunately, we got a call on the 8th October saying our son was not himself, he had suffered a stroke. The staff were amazing both to our son and to us, they went above and beyond and made sure that our son was comfortable and his dignity was of utmost importance. We can never thank them enough for the love that was shown to him and us, in his final days. The compassion not just for our son, but for us as a family, was amazing. Thank you to you all. We are so lucky to have you in Hingham. You are unbelievably dedicated in every way.

My father was critically ill with an agressive brain tumour and was blessed when he went to the amazing Hassingham House on 13th August 2020. He was dying and needed urgent palliative 24hr care. The staff were simply outstanding and words fail me to express my humble and sincere thanks for ensuring that my father was exceptionally cared for during his short stay. It was hugely reassuring to know my father was in the caring hands of the Hassingham staff who gently and kindly attended to his every need to ensure his end of life care needs were surpassed beyond belief. The manager steers a professionally run care home and she and her staff deserve to be highly commended for the level of care and attention they give to their residents. Simply faultless! They deserve 6-star recognition for the faultless and painstakingly efficient way they cared for my father. I know he'd say everything was more than 'Tickety Boo', bless him. I would very highly recommend Hassingham House Care Centre without any doubt.

We really couldn’t ask for better care.

All the staff at Hassingham House are amazing - the manager, all the carers, activities staff, housekeepers, kitchen staff, admin and maintenance. Sorry if I have missed anyone. My mum-in-law has been at Hassingham House for over two-and-a-half years and has always been cared for in a kind and caring way. Nothing is too much trouble and if she is ever concerned about anything, she knows she can talk to the manager and it will be sorted, although she never wants to be thought of as a nuisance. I have to remind her that she must speak to someone if she is worried or anxious about anything at all. The staff are all so patient and treat her with respect and dignity and we cannot thank them enough for the care they give.

Hassingham House is a lovely, friendly and clean place with no nasty smells. Mum is very fussy with her food but they go out of their way to make sure she has something that she likes. Also she likes to keep herself very clean and is so happy when the staff give her a shower whenever she wants one, whatever the time. Her washing is done very quickly. Mum told me she had put something in her wash basket that morning and when that afternoon she asked the staff member if if he had taken it to be washed his reply was "yes it has been done and is back in your room." The care is first class. Any problem Mum may have however small, is dealt with, either by the nursing staff or getting a doctor to visit and someone always call me to let me know what is happening. Mum has been in Hassingham House for 8 months now and it is such a relief to now that she is so well cared for.
