By far the best care facility in Norfolk! My Dad has been a resident here for the past 4 years and I can't honestly think of a better place for him. My Dad suffers from dementia and can be very challenging with his behaviour and the staff are excellent at dealing with him. The home is very well led
by the manager and her team any little niggle is always sorted out promptly. The residents are so well looked after and just like extended family. A trip to Great Yarmouth was organised for the residents and a lovely day was enjoyed by all! Without the help of the staff I wouldn't have been able to have considered taking dad on a day trip mainly due to his behaviour but the support I received in attending the trip was magnificent and I will always cherish that I was able to share this with my Dad a memory that I'll hold dear. The staff really go above and beyond their remit in making the residents happy.

My husband is in the care of Hassingham House now and I am more than happy. The care home is like my new family since he went full time in April.
He has had respite there for the last 9 years. I would recommend the home to anybody. The care is really good and the manager will always be there to help
and support your views.

Great service, professional staff.
The manager is properly into what she does.
That lady is a professional in her domain.
Myself, I have been in over 500 care homes in the country, I will vote Hassingam House No1. in the UK.
I will send my parents there with confidence.
Strongly recommended.

A warm welcome always awaits you at Hassingham House. As I live a distance from Norfolk, I cannot visit every week. However, as soon as I arrive I am always greeted with, "Hello, how are you? How was your holiday?", or other questions which show that the staff always remember what you tell them.
My
mother is content and extremely well cared for. There are plenty of laughs and the feeling is just like being at home. The entertainments are great, as are the meals and catering. It is so lovely to be able to sit with my mother and look out onto open spaces, watch the birds and just feel that you are part of an extremely caring environment, I am relaxed knowing just how well my mother is cared for.

There is happiness in this home. The only insecurity is that there are not enough staff. This seems to affect all care homes or anyway the majority. Residents and their families are listened to.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.640)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.640) out of 10 for Hassingham House Care Centre is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.762 for Hassingham House Care Centre is calculated as follows: ( (77 Excellents x 5) + (24 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 101 Ratings = 4.762
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.878 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Hassingham House Care Centre is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 46 registered maximum number of service users is 9.2. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 9.2 = 0.978
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

As the Manager of Hassingham House Care Centre, I am very proud to be part of an amazing team of staff, who are kind, caring and compassionate.
Having worked in the healthcare sector for over 15 years I have a wealth of knowledge and experience and have always been committed to ensuring all of our residents, families and staff are treated with dignity and respect.

Person-centred care and offering residents dignified care has always been a passion for me and Hassingham House Care Centre is a great place to embrace this passion. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, alongside of this I walk my two dogs and enjoy outdoor activities.
