Iceni House, located in the pleasant community of Swaffham in Norfolk, is purpose-built to suit a variety of care needs, including people with dementia care and physical frailties or disabilities.

The home has light and airy en-suite rooms decorated to a high standard. Residents are welcome to bring their own furniture to help them feel at home.

The two dedicated units - residential and dementia care - each has its own communal areas in which to socialise or enjoy peace and quiet. There is also a pretty private garden for residents to enjoy and a dedicated activities room.

There are plenty of activities on offer and family and friends are encouraged to visit.

Iceni House is located close to public transport links which allows residents to make the most of the wonderful Norfolk towns, villages and countryside.

Each resident has a personal care plan designed to maximise their independence. The experienced carers are directed by Unit Managers.

My friend has been in Iceni Care Home for six years where he received the best care possible. I feel he was blessed to end his life in superb surroundings with staff who showed tact, love and comfort. They really did care and go the "extra mile" all the time.

My mother had a short stay at Iceni House before her death. The standard of care was exceptional both in terms of my mother and the support they provided to her family. Nothing was too much trouble. The room and facilities were in good order and kept clean. Even the administration staff were kind and
helpful. I cannot thank them enough.

My mother has been staying at Iceni House (dementia care) for several weeks on a respite care basis. The staff are excellent, very helpful and professional. Mum has been very happy with her stay and we as family members have appreciated the way we are made to feel welcome and at home. The meals and
facilities are good and I am happy to recommend it.

Father is 98 years old with dementia. He has been in Iceni House for 2 years. Overall the care is consistent with other homes in the area. He is fed, kept clean and warm. Although sometimes he hasn't been shaved and spilt food is sometimes seen on his clothes. Mainly it is the clothes I have a problem
with. The laundry service is hit and miss. All his clothes shoes/slippers are labelled with sewn in labels but he frequently has other peoples. Or they have been washed at a high temperature and are ruined. Never are the shirts ironed and I am sick of buying socks as he has a drawer full of odd ones. They are labelled. "Do not provide anything of value as these things get broken or go missing."

My husband has lived here for five months. The care he receives is second to none. I was there a few days ago. Met the owner and gave a verbal review of how delighted I am with how my hubby is being looked after. He was wearing a pair of spectacles on this visit. I was so pleased, as he's needed them
all the time we've been married, and before!

I've told the staff there that none of them know what they mean to me. I told the CH owner: "Don't ever change what you're doing, as the care you offer is excellent." I also asked how the carers manage to cope with people who have dementia so well. Nobody ever gets frazzled. They just calmly cope, and they do that very well.

I'm so grateful for how we've both been treated; for, it isn't just the resident who matters to the staff there, the family members do, as well, and it shows.

My thanks to them all, from the bottom of my heart.

Job Title: Operations Manager

My career began as a Care Assistant and evolved through positions including Home Cook, Deputy Manager, and Registered Manager. This journey has equipped me with a 360-degree insight into care home operations and the needs of both residents and staff.

A significant part of my professional focus has been on supporting and transforming services that require strong leadership, dedication, and a clear improvement strategy. I have successfully turned around homes needing guidance and have also played a central role in commissioning new services. These combined experiences led me to my current role as Operations Manager at Kingsley Healthcare. Since joining the organisation, I have received unwavering support, guidance, and reassurance.

Outside of work, I am a proud parent of three children who keep me active and grounded. Family is incredibly important to me, and we enjoy spending quality time together -especially swimming, with rock climbing a close second on our list of favourite activities.
