I enjoy all the activities.

The care my aunt has received to date from all the management and staff is first-class. She has been cared for almost 7 years now and the attention and more importantly the love and kindness they have shown is fantastic. I would highly recommend the nursing and residential home to anyone with a loved one who needs that additional help and support.

I am free to organize my time, I read books which a volunteer brings me regularly from the library. I have my own laptop and on it I do crosswords and contact my family and friends. I also like our garden where I walk every day. I like flowers and vegetables there.

Larchwood House provided amazing palliative care for my mum for 15 months. The staff are caring and friendly. As a family, we are so grateful for their help and care at a very difficult time. My personal experience was that the care went way beyond just caring for Mum. The staff were always on hand to see us through the difficult, rough periods in Mum's journey. I can honestly say it was a privilege to get to know the staff and know Mum was in very safe hands, and I do not know how we would have achieved such a dignified and caring end to Mum's life without them. Thank you.

The management is exceptional and very helpful. Care staff are also very helpful and show care, consideration and patience, and the food is of a very high standard, along with the presentation. We feel as though our father is in the right place, being looked after by the right people. Personally, we would highly recommend this nursing home.

My husband likes being in this home. He feels at home. Staff are very caring and look after him very well. He likes activities and entertainment - music is his favourite. Chefs cater for his needs very well. Staff always find time to explain things to him as he gets confused at times.

Mum is looked after with care and friendliness, we are very grateful for that.

My friend can be difficult at times but the staff are very good with him. He says the food is good and from what I have seen it looks lovely. He says he is happy here and well looked after. The staff, management and maintenance staff are very kind. Keep up the good work.

For the short time mother was in the home I was well pleased with the way mother was treated. I found the staff very friendly and helpful. I also found the management were always caring, and extremely helpful at all times. All the teams were friendly and always wanted to do the best they could for mother and were helpful and caring after her death.

The staff have been fantastic and we are grateful for all they have done.

I have been here for three months now and my treatment has been great. On my first arrival, I couldn't walk but now I can. This is due to the staff here and food.

Nice to see outside general repairs being carried out as the building was starting to look tired.

I would like to thank all the staff and carers for their 100% dedication to their work and they exceeded that with all the love and kindness they showed my dad. They made all our butterfly experience so much easier. Dedicated and utter respect for their residents and visitors. A lovely peaceful place to spend your days. Thank you so much. You're amazing.

My mum moved into Larchwood just over a year ago. It was my first experience moving a loved one into a care home (quite a major life-changing choice for all involved) but essential for her day-to-day care. From my first contact with the nurses and further meeting all the staff, they helped greatly in putting my mind at ease at a time which can be very stressful.

I had initial reservations about Larchwood's poor CQC ratings (as a first-timer, not sure how to work out which care home was best for my mum) but through the new management team (in just before my mum) you could tell they were trying really hard to make a great difference in improving their reputation through making the care of the residents their top priority.

With Covid it has been a challenging year for everyone but they have exceeded my expectations of the care I hoped my mum would receive. They have also excelled in supporting family access via video calls and controlled visits (with PPE).

My thanks to all the staff.

I would recommend any family looking for a "home" for a loved one to talk to the team here.

My father was admitted to Larchwood House for nursing care after a severe stroke, then again for palliative care. Initially, I thought the place looked a little run down, but soon came to realise that the staff are what makes the place! They prepared an immaculate, yet homely room for my father, provided second-to-none care for him, including meals adapted to his conditions and I always felt that he was well cared for, safe, welcome and listened to. Whilst my father was dying, the staff were tremendous. I would not hesitate to recommend them. Both my sister and I are glad that he spent the last few weeks of his life treated with dignity and respect and are grateful for the staff that made that possible.

My father is very happy and well cared for at Larchwood and the staff are always happy and willing to help, they are a strong team doing a difficult job, they all have my support, keep up the good work all at Larchwood.

The only criticism I can make is that there is a delay in getting attention sometimes, but again I have found that everywhere. You can't expect one- to- one care without astronomical costs.

The staff were always smiling and happy from management right through to the cleaners and the maintenance staff.
