My mum was a resident in Millbridge Care Home for 8 months. We were very happy with the home, she received great care and attention from the staff and made the last few months of her life very comfortable. Thank you so much.

My mum was only in Millbridge Care Home for eight months. During that time she was happy and well cared for. The staff went above and beyond to care for her and be friendly and happy at the same time. A lovely care home on gorgeous grounds.

I found the care, respect ad dignity with which my brother was treated outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were always helpful.
I was given all the information I needed and knew I could contact the home at any time of the night or day.
I do not hesitate to recommend them.

On the 18th of June, I had a full hip replacement performed at the hospital. I decided before the surgery to have convalescent care for 1 week. I contacted Millbridge beforehand and spoke to the manager who made me feel very welcome and said Millbridge would be able to accommodate me for this reason.
I arrived 3 days after my surgery and was immediately warmly welcomed and shown my room in the front of the building which was beautifully decorated with butterfly wallpaper. During my week there I was treated extremely well with kindness consideration and friendly staff. The food was delicious and my whole stay was a very positive experience enabling me to go home to my family relaxed and rested.
Thank you to you all, very best wishes.

Dad was in the coach house for approximately 10 months. Before lockdown, I was able to visit whenever I wished and Dad was always smartly dressed and the room clean and tidy. Most importantly the staff at Millbridge are marvellous. Sadly Dad passed away on 21st November 2020, luckily we were able to
spend time with him during his last weeks and the care he received was second to none. Dad always smiled whenever any member of staff came into the room, which speaks for itself. Thank you.

Our father was admitted to Millbridge from hospital for end of life care with a life expectancy of 4 to 6 weeks. However, due to the exceptional care he received by all the staff there, he survived for 10 months surrounded by kindness, compassion and care.
There are no words to express how grateful
the family are. Thank you, every single one of you.

After a severe stroke, my late wife spent about 18 months in Millbridge. She received excellent care and attention. I visited or phoned every day and the staff were very pleasant and kind to me. Very important for my peace of mind in particular during lockdown when I couldn't visit.

The last thing our mum wanted was to go into a 'home'. However, when the need arose, I am glad she was able to stay at Millbridge. The room was lovely, fresh and airy, and Mum was cared for in the best possible way, professionally, considerably and attentively. The food was beautifully prepared and
fresh. Mum settled quickly and was happier and content, and I can't say thank you enough to all the wonderful staff here.

My mum was taken to Millbridge Care home for palliative care. The care she received was far in excess of my expectations. Care, support and dignity were exemplary and all the staff were professional, caring and cheerful at all times. I always had the feeling that whether I was present or not, she would
receive top rate care that would always go the extra mile! My family spent a lot of time there - sometimes overnight - and we were constantly being offered food, drinks and care to keep us very comfortable.

After Mum had a nasty fall and a year in and out of hospitals and care homes for respite, she arrived at Millbridge in September 2019. The care she has received from the staff there has been incredible. I feel that each and every one of them have taken the time to get to know Mum's likes and dislikes.
The room is kept lovely and clean and unlike other care homes, smells lovely. Mum is allowed to take pride in herself still, with the help of the staff, who match her outfits daily! Nothing is too much trouble. They have a hairdresser who comes on a Monday and she can have her nails painted too. Having always cared for Mum, it was difficult to let go of my responsibilities. Knowing Mum is being cared for as much as she is, I find I can relax and enjoy quality time with her now. I always said I would never put my mum into a care home, but she is very happy there and I am also very happy to see she is being well and truly cared for. Thank you to all the staff who make this possible.

The 'M Team' aka The Millbridge staff team all pull together like one big happy family. All the staff from the cleaners, kitchen staff, carers, nurses and management are very caring, sharing, friendly and most are professionally qualified. Millbridge is well managed and well run, it's very clean in
all areas. Suitably trained staff on-site 24/7 to handle any problem or emergency that may occur. Millbridge is a very secure unit hard to get in and hard to get out of. Great place, great staff, great food and great care.

Dad has only been at Millbridge for two weeks but I am impressed in what I have seen. The new building is very clean, fresh and bright, lovely gardens with the river. Staff are very nice, polite and attentive. Dads room is just right for his needs and nice that you can dress it up with home comforts.
I am happy that Dad will be well looked after and cared for at Millbridge. Thank you for a good start in caring for him.

On arrival at the home, the staff are always welcoming and home is always clean and smelling fresh.
The residents are treated with dignity and care by all the staff and the residents, particularly the long term ones, view the carers often with great affection and their rooms with pride.
The food is
prepared with care and of good quality taking many likes and dislikes into consideration.
The garden which is well kept with its boundary just beautiful.

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.534)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.534) out of 10 for Millbridge Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 12 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 12 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.734 for Millbridge Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (111 Excellents x 5) + (26 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 143 Ratings = 4.734
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.8 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Millbridge Care Home is based on 12 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 53 registered maximum number of service users is 10.6, which has been reached with 12 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
