My dad's condition certainly improved after he entered Oakwood House. I know that he receives very good care and your staff are always at hand for a short chat about my dad, very reassuring. My dad has one visitor who often upsets him and I don't trust that person at all. No names mentioned. I'm usually welcomed by your regular receptionist who always has a friendly smile and kind words, she's a credit to your business. Keep up the good work and hopefully my dad's time with you will continue to be pleasant.
Many thanks for your feedback - the staff very much enjoyed supporting your dad during his time with us.
Oakwood House has provided my mum with good quality care and made a difficult time easier. All of the staff are caring and compassionate. At times communication has been a little lacking unless pushed by us but when issues have been raised they have been dealt with.
Thank you for the review and feedback its very much appreciated. It was our pleasure to be able to support your family and your mum and thank you for choosing Oakwood House.
Mum's room has a garden view and she can feed the birds which she enjoys. The room is very comfortable and has everything she needs. The staff are polite and caring. Mum struggles to eat the food sometimes as her teeth aren't great! She has settled in well. Her stay is temporary so it's lovely to see her happy.
Thank you for your kind words. We are happy to hear that mum is enjoying her stay with us.
Very friendly, helpful staff.
Well-run organisation.
I will pass on your comments to the staff team.
My mum only arrived at the end of September but is already receiving end-of-life. I cannot fault the kindness of the staff - to both my mum and me - as we go through this most difficult time.
Myself and the team very much enjoyed looking after your mum and we were pleased that we could support you all at such a difficult time in your lives.
I loved all of them.
Thanks for your kind review. We really appreciate it! It was a pleasure to have you in our home. We hope you are doing well - from everyone at Oakwood House.
Staff are very caring and supportive of us as relatives and my mother and father as residents. The place is homely, where people arriving to receive care have life as far as possible.
Happy to discuss any concerns that you have.
My dad has been in the home since the lockdown, he has had a difficult time and he is permanently stuck in bed. All of the staff I meet here are friendly and caring but my dad really appreciates the staff members who go above and beyond, like a member of staff who helps him find films to watch, put devices on charge and sort out minor technical issues as well as much more, which makes his situation so much more bearable.
Thank you for your kind words which mean a lot to our team. We appreciate your comments, and it is a pleasure to have Dad in our home.
My aunt received outstanding care. She loved every moment of her time here, and our only wish is that we had found Oakwood House earlier. Every member of staff is to be commended for their work ethic, caring and professional attitude. A wonderful touch is having a dog on site; when residents have to leave pets at home, seeing a friendly dog helps with their loss.
Thank you for the lovely review of the care your aunt received whilst staying with us at Oakwood House Care Home. I will be sure to share the review with the team.
Good.
Thank you for your feedback; it is much appreciated. It helps us to understand what we are getting right as well as develop in areas as required. If you wish to speak to the manager directly, feel free to speak to us on the next visit.
Staff at Oakwood House Care Home are brilliant, they understand and care for me.
I am a gluten-free person and my meals are well controlled.
The nursing team tried hard, before going on holiday to obtain the patch that releases paracetamol into the body and I was very appreciative. Facilities here are excellent, room compact, bathroom well equipped.
Thank you for your time in completing the review and the team are delighted to have been able to make your stay a happy one.
Since our mother has joined you guys she has come on leaps and bounds and is very happy now. I can't thank you all enough for the care you are giving her in the next stage of her life. She has expressed to myself and my brother how she doesn't want to be anywhere else.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for the team it really does mean a lot to us all to receive positive feedback. Mum is a fabulous character and we adore having her as part of our Oakwood family.
Since the first day I was here, I have been treated with great care and kindness. I have a lovely room with a bathroom with everything I need close to hand. In Short, I am very happy to spend my days in this lovely home.
Thank you for your kinds words which will be shared with the whole team, it’s wonderful to hear we are creating a happy home for you.
Oakwood House Care Home is a great place for my father to reside. The staff are very pleasant, and the care he receives there is first class. Activities that they provide are varied to suit all residents. Highly recommended.
Thank you for your review, it will be shared with the team and it does mean a lot to know when we are getting things right as well as developing areas as required.
I would not hesitate to say this is a top-notch care home and I have not met an unkind member of staff, they do a wonderful job and their standards are very high ten out of ten and I sincerely mean this. Thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home. The entire team strive to provide a safe and engaging environment and it’s great for the team to hear what a difference they make.
My 97-year-old mother was at another facility local to Oakwood House Care Home. I wish she had never set foot in there. Oakwood House Care Home have demonstrated to me what excellent care can and should be. She wants for nothing, all her needs are met by an excellent team her keyworker, and the Senior. There is a nice atmosphere in the home, where a contented work force well lead by the manager, promotes the well being of every resident. Do not hesitate, if you need care for a loved one to come to Oakwood house.
Thank you for your kind review, the whole team pride themselves on the quality of care they provide to those who live with us and their loved ones. It is always rewarding for the team to receive feedback not only to allow us to identify ways to improve but also to celebrate what we have achieved.
My family and I would like to say a heartfelt thanks to every member of staff who looked after our beloved husband and dad with the kindest of gentle care that made his last week as comfortable as he could be. The room he was in was nicely furnished with a lovely view of tress out of the window from his bed. The grounds are such a bonus to have to sit in and walk around.
Thank you for your review; it means a lot that the hard work and dedication of the team make a difference not only to those who live with us but their loved ones as well.
This is my third back operation in 10 months and I felt I would need help to fully recover. My son, daughter-in-law and I discovered Oakwood House and I am very happy to be here.
Excellent care at all times. Food cooked and served; excellent chef!
Mum was admitted for palliative care in October 2020 and Dad joined her to be together. It was a tough time due to Covid and visiting restrictions. Staff were so helpful and accommodating in helping them both settle into a completely new environment. Very polite, friendly and patient staff. My parents and our family were always treated in a professional and courteous manner. Also helpful in providing video calls to maintain contact and Covid friendly visits.
