Always found the atmosphere in the home very positive and upbeat. Saw residents being well supported with time being given to them, to listen to them and to find solutions for their needs. I felt the decor of relatives room was modern and bright. We were long-distance visitors and are always accommodated and made to feel welcome and with the offer of much-appreciated cups of tea/coffee.

My thoughts and prayers have been with the home during this very challenging year.

My mum has now reached the late stage of dementia. The manager has been tremendous in supporting me through this extremely difficult period. Also, every member of the team at Woodlands has shown me such kindness, support and more importantly, exceptional care for my mum, which obviously means so much to me. They ask me, have I had a drink, food etc to ensure that I'm looking after myself too. Woodlands is a family who all work together in supporting each other whilst giving exceptional care, love, kindness and support to the people who live there. I think the manager and team make it a lovely home for residents and staff.

My brother lived in Woodland for just over 2 years. He recently had a couple of stays in the hospital as he had learning difficulties and communication problems, which was always a concern. The manager drew up a bullet point list which clearly stated his needs and how best to communicate with him. This was put in a clear sleeve and put in his medication bag. The hospital staff said it was so useful. This was such an incredible relief to me and so supportive to my brother. The whole team at Woodland has always endeavored to meet my brother's individual needs and supported him to live a fulfilling and happy life. Their care for him has been exemplary.

Everyone I met was kind and supportive without exception. All the team showed empathy and professionalism in all ways.
If I needed this type of care in a care home, this is where I would like to be.

Words can not say how impressed I was.

I have been highly impressed with the care and consideration my mother and I have received. The staff are friendly, well trained, ask/say before doing something, courteous and happy. The manager is excellent and is friendly, thoughtful and happy. She listens and offers advice and I am very appreciative. My mother is suffering from old age (three weeks off 100 years old) and receives excellent care and monitoring. She is regularly checked on, spoken to and made comfortable. I am extremely pleased with my mother's care and I think highly of the home. I am also very grateful.

Everyone in the home is very friendly. You are welcomed as a visitor by all the staff (nurses, cleaner, manager, carer and caterer). Mother-in-law is very well cared for all the time. She is 99, very frail and in an extremely caring environment. There is a good relationship and understanding between residents, manager, staff and family, working out together, care plans and doing what's best for her. I'm really pleased with her care.

I feel my partner could spend more time out of bed.

Frustration at clothes going missing; even when marked. Very little support from few staff as to finding them. Strongly feel when we complain, someone should go in the rooms and check what's not theirs.

My mum is a resident in Woodland Care Home and I think it is a lovely friendly place and I wouldn't want my mum to be anywhere else. The staff are so friendly and would do anything for anyone and they all work so hard. My mum left hospital in April 2018 and since being here she has come on so much with her movement, skin colour and they have also healed her bed sore that was really bad on her leg. I am so impressed with this home I would recommend it to anyone.

After 2 and a half years in residential care, a fall led to mum needing nursing care. Sadly her stay at Woodland Care Home was very short but the care and attention she received in her last days were exceptional. The staff treated her with respect and dignity and went to great efforts to make her comfortable and happy. I cannot recommend this nursing home enough the staff exceeded my very high expectations in every respect.

After a long period in hospital, our brother has been well looked after at Woodlands. Manager and staff have made him very welcome and are keen to meet his special needs. His particular feeding system is efficiently supplied. All staff try very hard to understand his wishes and needs, despite his marked communication difficulties and support him in his wishes to socialize or join group activities. Visitors are made very welcome. The friendly atmosphere of this home is evident throughout. Our brother is happy at Woodland and I would recommend the home to anyone as they meet so many needs.
