Located in Saxted, Woodbridge, Foxearth Lodge provides residential, nursing, respite and dementia care to local residents in the area of Saxtead. With the specialist knowledge to also provide care for younger people with disabilities, Foxearth Lodge embraces its family-feel and delivers a calming and cheery environment that resident’s can call home.

Foxearth Lodge is on the outskirts of the historical market town of Framlingham, surrounded by the beautiful Suffolk countrysides and well-kept gardens for residents to enjoy. The accommodation has been designed to enhance independence and dignity for residents, with a variety of communal spaces for quiet contemplation or more engaging group activities, should the resident wish to join.

Foxearth Lodge is well integrated with the local community and has a fantastic activities coordinator to deliver engaging and varied activities for residents. Whether it may be a charity day for Alzheimer’s Society, Cooking or Zumba, Foxearth Lodge is dedicated to providing outstanding care and activities on a personal level.

The home is arranged over two floors and has 65 bedrooms that are fully furnished, ready to be personalised to make for a real home-from home. Residents are encouraged to bring their own personal items and furniture, to ensure their room really feels like their own. The home also offers two double bedrooms to accommodate couples. There are a selection of lounges and communal areas, a dining room and an in-house hair salon for residents to enjoy, surrounded by well-kept gardens with flower beds and mature trees.

During the coronavirus pandemic, Foxearth Lodge have gone over and above to ensure the health and safety of its staff, residents and visitors. We are eternally grateful to all of them that with the addition of 'the pod' we have been able to continue with our weekly visits to see Mum. She is happy and
healthy, and we thank all the staff for their hard work and for caring.

My mother went into Foxearth in September 2017 and I have nothing but praise for the home.
She's been in a home in Yorkshire which was not great and moved to be close to me in Suffolk.
The nurses and the carers treated my mother with respect and dignity.
They recognised that although elderly and
frail my mother was an intelligent woman who was perfectly capable of making choices and enjoying humour.
As mum moved to her last days they were all wonderful.
They cared for mum gently and with respect and also took time to support me through the last difficult week.

On arrival, my mother had behaviour problems. The staff were excellent in dealing with this and within a short space of time, my mother became more content. The staff showed patience and understanding.
Every member of staff were always pleasant and would do their utmost to help residents and visitors
alike. Foxearth Lodge is tranquil, clean and tidy, the atmosphere and staff make it a home.
I am very pleased that my mother had the chance to stay at Foxearth as I highly recommend the quality of care.

My mother was admitted from hospital on September 1st 2017. I selected Foxearth for her after visiting several facilities in our area. She was welcomed with warmth and friendliness, and her care has been exemplary. She is comfortable in her room which she has been able to personalise, and her confidence
has improved over the past 7 weeks or so.


I am happy that my mother is in the best possible place for her and am confident her needs and requirements will be met. The staff, and there are many, seem without exception to be excellent.

I spent 14 days respite care at Foxearth Lodge Nursing Home. I was treated with respect, care and great kindness by the staff.
As it was temporary the room I occupied was not too good, and I found washing, personal care not good as no hand basin in the very small toilet. Als I would like to see drinking
water jug changed more frequently, this was very often left on the table in the sun all day!!!!

My husband has been a resident at Foxearth Lodge Nursing Home since March 2017. I and my family have nothing but praise for the care my husband has received.
My husband is bedridden and all his care is carried out with as much dignity as possible. The home has a very pleasant atmosphere and cleaners,
kitchen staff, carers, nurses and management are very friendly.

Foxearth Lodge have cared for my mum since August 2013 and I can't praise the level and quality of care highly enough.
Nothing is too much trouble, they look after her with respect, care and make her feel loved as we all endeavour to do as a family also. Thank you Foxearth and all your amazing staff.

My 97-year-old mother is partially sighted and lived until very recently in very sheltered accommodation where she was remarkably independent for her age.
Following a fall and spell in hospital, the decision was reluctantly made, she needs 24 x 7 care which sheltered accommodation could not offer.
The
move to Foxearth Lodge was made as painless as possible and she has quickly settled in.
She seems happy and content there which is due to the kind and friendly staff who look after her.
The nursing staff soon got her leg ulcers and other problems under control and also put procedures in place to prevent further falls which has increased her confidence and helped her feel safe.
She likes to have her hair done and look smart which the staff have also helped her with.
Her family are welcome to visit at any time and all agree she is being very well cared for.

A first class nursing home, clean and beautifully decorated, outstanding gardens with a pond, bird aviary and feeders everywhere, which are filled daily.
Staff enjoy their job and it is obvious through their friendly approach to their tough job in caring.
The residents want for nothing, newspapers
delivered daily, hairdressers, chiropodist and doctor etc... all in weekly attendance.
A wonderful location. Foxearth Lodge nursing home is an outstanding care home no matter how you look at it.
As a son, I couldn't be more happy for my mother.

Our son has been at Foxearth Lodge Nursing Home for a few years. He has been made welcome and been provided with excellent care during his time here.


Our son was born with Downs Syndrome and become autistic at 2 1/2 years old. He suffers from many handicaps including: he does not chew and he does

not speak, after a fall, he was treated for a broken hip and he can no longer walk.

Absolutely wonderful care home. A clean, homely and caring place. We couldn't fault the care and compassion shown to our mother and 'us' as a family. It was a lovely place for our mother to spend the last few weeks of her life. Couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Every member of staff is polite, respectful and helpful. No request is ignored.
Explanations are given for every step or procedure. Facilities for families of residents are excellent.
Our mum was cared for with dignity, respect, gentleness and consideration. We felt she was valued by the staff.
Unfortunately,
our mum was ill and died. The end of life care at the home cannot be faulted. It was excellent.

I could not have wished for a better Nursing home for my late mother. The staff and care she received was first class. Mum moved to Foxearth in May 2015 and firstly was placed in the nursing home section then had to be moved to the dementia side. At no time was mum treated any differently on either
side. There are no words to express how much my sister, brother and I loved mum being there and would say to anyone your peace of mind while your loved one is in their care is worth millions.

I have worked at this nursing home for the past thirty years. This is the only nursing home I would use and as of October 2014 my husband needed a home, I was more than happy for him to come into Foxearth and as I still work there I am able to see him everyday. He is very happy to be there also our
three children are more than happy to him in Foxearth a great nursing home.
