I have had to visit quite a few care homes but never one that was so friendly as this one

She has however complained about the constant doors banging which she finds annoying. I have also noticed this when I visit.
The carers are very good, friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
It was a good break for her and turned out to be a pleasant break for me too.

Activities are an extremely important part of life at Hillside and we pride ourselves on ensuring all of our residents get the chance to enjoy an activities programme tailored to their individual tastes or needs, including group, 1 –to-1 and pampering sessions and are sorry to see you are not happy with this aspect of your relative’s care. As Home Manager of Hillside, I lead a professional care team in delivering the highest standards of residential care for up to 44 residents.
I have over 23 years of experience across Adult Mental Health, Elderly Mental Health and Adult Social Care services, spending the last 14 years in management roles. I hold SVQ’s in Adult Health and Social Care Levels 3 & 4 and QCF Level 5.
As a people person, caring has always been a passion of mine. This is the aspect that makes my job worthwhile, making a positive impact on our residents and their families lives no matter how big or small, in what has become their home and supporting them to continue a good quality of life.
I continuously work to improve and maintain the care standards at Hillside and manage our sister home Mellish House which is located next door. Being so close means, we can offer a full care pathway for residents as their needs change with peace of mind.
Away from work, I enjoy reading and spending time with my family and dog. I also love music and socialising with friends.
