My Aunt received excellent care at Stanton Court. She was treated with kindness and dignity by all of the staff. It really does feel like an extended family. From the lovely manager and all staff, down to the handyman were always considerate and thoughtful. What more can you say, it gives you peace of mind knowing your loved one is so well cared for.
Mum is always clean and well presented. She has periods of agitation which are distressing but the staff seem to cope with her with patience and tenderness and keep us well informed of any change in her condition. The manager gives the home a calm, cheerful atmosphere and is keeping up the standards of care.
My husband looks forward to his daycare particularly as he often sees local people. There is a strong sense of community throughout the home.
I am very pleased with the way my mother always looks very clean and tidy. She enjoys the food which looks appetising and nicely presented. Her room is always clean and tidy. If she is in need of anything I feel she only needs to ask. All of the staff are very approachable.
Although my mother has only been with you a short time, she seems very happy and content. So I feel happy about her placement.
I find the home very welcoming and all the carers are very kind to my wife. The fact that I am able to have a meal with her whenever I can is lovely. It is reassuring to know the nurses will always contact me if they have any concerns about my wife's health.
I am unable to visit my uncle very frequently as I live a very long way away but all members of staff are always available to discuss any concerns I may have and to keep me updated on my uncle's care. My uncle's visitors frequently comment on the courtesy they are given by all members of staff. I recently had concerns over several care issues and these matters were dealt with quickly and sympathetically. The manager was able to reassure us the matters raised had been investigated and dealt with.
My sister loves it at Stanton Court. The environment and the staff are great and meet her needs well as a new resident. She has settled well and is joining in some activities. The home were very welcoming and went out of their way to accommodate her pets outside!
Mum continues to be happy with her care at her home at Stanton Court. She feels safe and secure in the home and the staff do their best to make her feel comfortable.
As close family members, we appreciate being informed of any changes to her health and medical care. It has been appreciated when we have received clear updates on her situation and why changes are being made to her medical care.
I have peace of mind knowing that my dad is happy.
Stanton Court Nursing Home have looked after my husband for 3 years. He has been treated with respect and I have no issues regarding his care. There are times when carers have called in sick - but they always respond to requests for help.
Overall home offer a good service. Food excellent. Care good with dignity. Bedroom poor. Lounges good. Staff very good/caring.
The home itself has a homely feel but is a bit tired- the stair carpet has definitely seen better days and the building and rooms need some investment and sprucing. My impression is also (I may be wrong) that there is very little in the way of stimulation and activity - my godmother seems to have nothing to do and I've seen her interest and enthusiasm waned in the last few months, but under new management I am very confident that this is going to improve.
I was very pleased that The Home had a change of ownership in October 2016, as I was seriously considering reporting the old owners to the CQC. I am very hopeful that the new owners will make the very necessary improvements as they have indicated.
Stanton Court continues its tradition of providing caring and attentive support to its residents. I am very impressed with the progress the new (albeit temporary) manager is proactively making in dealing with issues that were picked up by the CQC and have accumulated over a long period of time. I have also been very pleased with the proactivity and responsiveness of the of the new owners and their team. I'm looking forward to Stanton Court going from strength to strength under its new regime and think this is still easily the best nursing home in the area.
Mum was made welcome into Stanton Court especially pleasing as she arrived in just before Christmas in December 2016 late in the afternoon. This could have been a difficult time to settle in, as a family, we felt the staff were very accommodating in getting to know her and her needs which they have endeavoured to meet. She has relaxed and settled into a new way of life and seems happy and content with how things are going. She very much appreciates the help she receives.

Laura is our fantastic Administrator and, as a keen Guide leader, introduced the Trefoil Guild to Stanton Court, which enabled one of their oldest members, a resident here, to remain involved in their meetings. Through this, we became aware that many of our resident ladies were either Guides or Leaders themselves, which led local Guiders to become involved with the home.
