I see staff going above and beyond to help, support and care for my sister each time I visit. Every resident must feel like a VIP all day every day. An outstanding culture to live within.
Thank you so much for your kind words, it's lovely to know that people can see how much care we have for all of our residents.
Care and kindness of staff to resident and visitors has been exceptional. Always happy to help. Answer questions, give support and advice. Even when things difficult or tricky the staff showed patience. Professionalism and alongside genuine care. I can't thank the team enough. All the team - domestics, cook, carer workers, nurses, admin - reception.
Thank you so much for your lovely words; it means a lot to us that you feel this way about the whole team. Care and kindness is what we are all about, and knowing that we are giving the care and kindness we strive for is incredibly appreciated.
I am always made to feel welcome and informed of my Mothers well being and medical nursing care.
My Mother informs me of her being looked after very well and her needs are being kindly provided on a daily basis.
My mother always looks clean, tidy and dressed with her co-ordinating scarves/jewellery.
Nothing is too much trouble and all nursing carers and staff show great empathy and understanding of my mother's care and my needs as her daughter.
I do not worry about my mother living at Ellenbourgh an when I must leave her, I fully trust she is being given the care, affection and individual care plan best suited to my mothers medical, social and mental requirements. Thank you to all staff who work at Ellenbourgh, again Thank you very much .
Thank you for sharing such lovely feedback. We're delighted to hear your mother has settled in so well. Creating a warm, welcoming environment for residents and their families is at the heart of what we do, so it's wonderful to know you feel at ease when visiting. We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review, and will pass this on to our team.
The dignity and compassion with which you look after each resident is remarkable. The home is kept extremely clean, and the staff are consistently kind, considerate, and take the time to know each person individually. Our loved one greatly enjoyed the activities, which she looked forward to every week. The food, prepared and cooked on the premises, was of a very high standard. During her time with you, she was surrounded by a dedicated, friendly team who always welcomed me warmly when I came to visit. I will always remember the care, respect, and kindness shown to her, and to us as a family. Thank you for everything you do a truly special nursing home.
Thank you so much for your incredibly lovely words, it means a lot to us and we are so glad that you and your loved one felt welcome here.
The home has my highest recommendation. brilliant staff, excellent facilities, well maintained and clean. and plenty of activities throughout the day.
Thank you so much for your incredibly kind words, we are honored that we had the pleasure of caring for your sister during her final days. Your words are highly appreciated and we will make sure they're passed on to the rest of the team.
The care was next to none, the food was always good quality and tasty. Friday fish & chips was the best ever!!
Mum unfortunately passed away recently and they looked after her until the end, they were amazing. I cannot recommend this home enough, its homely, caring and approachable.
Ellenborough became mums second family, but they became an extension of our family too. I will not only miss my mum, but also everyone at Ellenborough too.
So thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you did for my mum and her family xx
Thank you so much for your lovely words; your mum was part of our family and we are honoured to have been able to take care of her for so long. We will make sure to pass this on to all of the staff, and appreciate you taking the time to leave us such a kind review.
The care home really is a wonderful place for our mum. She is looked after with love, care, respect and dignity. She is supported to do activities, engage in conversation and is supported. Every member of staff I have the pleasure to talk to knows mum understand her needs etc. The home is clean, tidy and offers warmth and care. Anyone considering a home/ support for loved ones, there really is no better. My family and I are grateful every day!
Thank you so much for your kind words, we love taking care of your mum and she really is a part of our Ellenborough family.
The attention to my father is of a high standard, he is cared for with compassion and friendliness. This is also always given to me as the visiting relative. I have never had any issue in contacting either the carers or the administration department and they are always happy to give me information either by phone or face to face.
Thank you so much for your lovely words. We love having your father here as part of our family, and our staff will be happy to know how happy you are with the care he receives.
It is such a lovely home, the staff are wonderful and very caring, they go above and beyond for the residents' needs. The manager is very welcoming and friendly, always happy to help and support. My husband was a resident there for almost two years. He was treated with kindness, respect and consideration. I used to go three times a week to see him and all the time he was clean and well looked after, the freshly cooked meals were very tasty and well balanced. He had a very nice and bright room that was cleaned daily. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ellenborough Care Home to anyone and would like to thank all of the staff and the manager for their care and support.
Thank you for your lovely and kind words, we are touched to hear how happy you are with the care and love we gave to your husband. We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review, and we will pass this on to our staff. It's wonderful to hear that we were able to provide a real home away from home.
All the staff are very friendly and helpful, it was a true home-from-home. I could visit my mother when I wanted and with a quick phone call in advance, the staff made sure Mum was settled and ready in her room for my visit. Towards the end, Mum became less and less able with several illnesses but she was always treated with respect and dignity, and as she maintained her capacity to make decisions she was always asked how she wanted things done. I was kept fully informed of all that was happening when she was ill and when she was at the end of her life I was telephoned allowing me time to go and sit with Mum for a little while before she died. Everyone was so kind, bringing us cups of tea and biscuits when we visited and allowing us time to be with Mum before she was moved to the funeral directors. I cannot fault anything that they have done for me or my mum during her couple of years staying with them. Mum was always happy and well cared for and I would highly recommend Ellenborough Nursing Home.

My elderly mum and dad live with me and they needed daycare along with an assisted bath. The care staff and management staff were so helpful and friendly in getting this arranged. They understand so well the issues and challenges elderly people face. They were absolutely lovely to mum and dad. They do an incredible job and I could not praise them enough.

Over the last twenty years or so, I have gained experience with many nursing homes where relatives and friends have stayed, all are very welcoming for the initial period but that seems to fade a little as time goes on. The Ellenborough Nursing Home were welcoming from day one to the final day, always happy and helpful, professional and understanding, the kitchen accommodated my sister's tastes and she was happy and content during her stay.
Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. We pride ourselves on making sure all our residents are welcomed and made to feel special and part of our family, even if that means tweaking the menu on the odd occasion.
Ellenborough Nursing Home is the most wonderful home. All the staff care so much. My godfather has been a resident for approximately eleven months and settled almost straight away after what was a stressful and challenging five months for him. The staff are so committed to all their residents and give each one of them the personal attention they need, they are not just a name. They are also so very supportive of the relatives too. As a relative, it is important to know your loved one is cared for as though you are caring for them it is better than winning the lottery. At Christmas, Easter, Valentine's day all the staff are spoilt. When or if I need to go into a home, this is where I want to be!

It's so nice to know that your relative has settled with us, we do try to make it a home from home and like to treat them as part of our extended family.
The care given to my husband was second to none, delivered with dignity and respect.
It made a very difficult time much more bearable.

It was a pleasure for us to have been able to care for your husband, who certainly became part of our family here at The Ellenborough.
My husband has been a resident of this care home for a few years. The staff and nurses are very caring and look after the residents very well, providing support and treating my husband as a person.
Thank you for your review. Here at Ellenborough, we pride ourselves on making our home feel like the residents' home. We pride ourselves on a person-centred approach to care, believing every resident has the right to be individual and feel valued. We are proud to care.
What's lovely about The Ellenborough is a combination between the warmth of the people who work there, and the welcoming, homely interior. The management and staff make a great team and clearly enjoy working there. Throughout Mum's stay, they really catered to her every need and her wishes, which is so important. Nothing was ever too much trouble. I knew I could phone anytime, and they even took the time to set up virtual visits. They are a dedicated team who treated Mum with dignity and respect, right up until her passing. Mum was an amazingly lovely lady, but knowing she was in the safe hands of the caring management, nurses and staff. My brother and I know we made the right decision in choosing The Ellenborough.
Thank you for your lovely review. It was an honour and a pleasure to take care of your mum here at Ellenborough Care Home. We are glad you were happy with our care.
Mum has been placed in Ellenborough Care home after a long stint in hospital. She has been a resident here since January 2022 and now has to remain in full-time care. The manager and owners have made it possible for Mum to stay. The manager is a kind and caring lady, who puts her residents at the heart of every decision she makes. She is proactive for resident safety, she is always available to chat to and if you need her, she is open, transparent and honest. All the other members of the staff and nursing team we have encountered, are all so approachable and friendly. They are always smiling and happy which makes every visit warm and inviting. I cannot speak highly enough of this care home and all its dedicated staff. I'm so pleased my mum is settled here, it gives me peace of mind and helps me sleep better at night, knowing she is safe and being cared for by kind warm loving people.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We are delighted to hear that you are happy with the care that your mum receives.
My Mother was moved to this nursing home from another local home. Within 3 months, she has put on almost a stone in weight and is now out of an at risk group. She is well cared for, very happy and a picture of health for her 91 years. It’s a fantastic nursing home, with excellent staff from housekeeping, cooks, carers, nurses to the management team. It’s a relief that when family visit her and the time comes to leave, we do not go home and worry. Peace of mind is a wonderful thing.
Thank you for your review of Ellenborough. I will share your kind words with our wonderful team.
On all my many visits the staff at what ever level have been friendly. helpful and efficient.

Unfortunately because of Covid, things have been hard for all relatives. With our loved ones in nursing care homes, we have not been able to visit, so we have had to leave our loved ones in the hands of others. My husband and I have been lucky as Mum has been at Ellenborough for a number of years, so we knew that she would get the care she's always had. I cannot answer the activities as with Covid, it’s probably not been as normal, however, in ordinary circumstances, the home provided various activities. The food has always been excellent and I have been known to have a roast potato.
