The only additional charges are for the hairdresser, chiropodist, newspapers and anything else residents ask for in addition to the normal provision of the home. Escorts to appointments can be provided at cost where staffing allows. If travelling to an appointment in our vehicle there will also be a charge for the driver.

If you chose a care home based in England, you may be eligible for NHS Funded Nursing Care (FNC), which helps cover the cost of nursing. This is worth £254.06 per week and is usually paid directly to the care home.
Visitors can visit at any time within reason.

As your mother in law spends the majority of her day down on the ground floor she really enjoys the frequent comings and goings that happen at this level. She and I also share a few laughs as we are in direct eyeline with each other (things happen and I know what she's thinking) and she's such a happy person it rubs off on the rest of us.

Your mum spends her day down in the lounge and seems to really enjoy being part of the hustle and bustle on the ground floor. I sit in line of sight with the residents in that lounge so have a lot of interaction with her and sometimes she will reminisce about her life as a nurse with some fascinating anecdotes. She has her favourite chair with a perfect sea view and it's not the same down here on the rare occasion she decides to stay up in her room.

If you have this then everything else falls into place. However, we are always striving to improve. Thank you for your review and for your comments. The car park is something we are continually monitoring. Unfortunately, we do have a lot of elderly visitors and sometimes parking can be a trifle erratic. There is parking for 16 cars but that does depend on the layout on the day. I hope that on the day you visited it did not prove too problematic.
