Dad was suffering from Vascular Dementia, we were completely devastated. We wanted to keep him at home but we were to find this wouldn't be possible. We had no choice but to look for local nursing homes and to think about what this would mean for dad and the family who all adore him. Trevarna was recommended by locals in his village and medical professionals, we wondered if the care would be as professional and consistent as Trevarna promised. We feared how staff may react to our daily telephone calls, and sending of cards and gifts! We need not worry the standard of care is fantastic, and the level of understanding and advice is beyond our hopes. We are encouraged to telephone as often as we like, and during visits, we are offered refreshments spending time in the lounge or dad's spacious, smart and cheerful room. We have added lots of pictures to his room, a blanket and a box of goodies for him. On every visit, dad is dressed beautifully, clean and well-fed. Thank you to all at Trevarna!

My late husband was a resident from June until his death on the 5th of October. At all times I was welcomed and involved in my husband's care. He was looked after and safe and whilst his health issues were complex. I cannot fault his care. The staff and management were wonderful. Thank you Trevarna.

My wife was moved into Trevarna on 27th July 2010 and she resided there until her death on the 17th of April 2023. She had been diagnosed with dementia in the hospital. She soon settled into Trevarna and during her early years there I was able to take her out almost every day. However, as her dementia progressed, it became increasingly difficult to take her out of the home. In the last five years of her life, she lost the ability to recognise me and she became bedridden. The members of staff of Trevarna always treated her with affection and kindness.

My father was at Trevarna Care Home for nearly four years. The staff are amazing and they looked after him very well. His room was clean and comfortable and he enjoyed the food. Whenever I went to visit him, the staff were very welcoming and the home had a safe and cosy atmosphere. He was kept entertained with various activities and it was a weight off my mind to know he was being looked after and cared for, he was happy.

Care was reassuring and staff were always friendly. They were excellent at keeping me up to date by telephone.
At the end of life, the staff were extremely caring to the patient and the family.
Food was excellent according to the resident and always plenty.

We would recommend this care home/nursing to others.

My mother was at Trevarna for several years, during this time the care she received was fantastic. I, as her daughter, could not be any more grateful for the care she received. I would recommend Trevarna. I was always greeted with a smile and felt welcomed.

I will always be glad that my father was cared for at Trevarna. He had dementia, and it's fair to say he could be a little feisty, but the staff handled him perfectly, always with a smile. He was relaxed and as happy as his condition allowed. The support given to Dad and to me in his final few days was genuinely personal, by which I mean the people at Trevarna were not just doing their jobs, they really cared for us both.

When we visit my sister at Trevarna Care Home, she always looks well looked after. The staff are very attentive and nothing is too much trouble and they make us very welcome. No matter what time we visit, it always looks clean and tidy and the staff are busy doing things for the patients. It's good to know she is being so well looked after.

My husband has motor neurone disease and dementia and his needs are complex, but he receives excellent care. However, there are times we have visited and there have been staff shortages, especially at weekends. There have been times when there has not been a staff member in the day room. I am not blaming you, as I know, nationally, there is a problem retaining staff and how expensive it is to employ agency staff, however, it is a question of safety.

My Mum has been in Trevarna care home for several years and has dementia. She has always loved the staff and praised them, but this week we have experienced the wonderful loving care they give. Mum was very poorly and my sister, daughter and I stayed with her for two nights! Nothing was too much trouble and the attention given to Mum was second to none. We agreed, they are all angels. Even though it was an anxious time, their concern for all of us was so amazing, we felt uplifted. Thank you to all of the beautiful staff at Trevarna!

Very good care, real concern for the resident's wellbeing and personal care. Good communication for the relatives and concerns raised dealt with quickly and with understanding. Carers should have a union to take their problem to also carers pay should be in line with the nursing staff.

My father moved to Trevarna just over a month ago after over two years at another nursing home and has complex mental and physical needs which the other home felt ill-equipped to deal with. Trevarna welcomed my father with open arms, treating him with care, respect and dignity at all times. All of the staff are first-rate and highly trained, from the manager on down, I really can't say enough about how their attitude towards my dad's difficulties (and some of my own) is making a huge difference in both of our lives. He has settled in straight away with hardly a bump and I find myself being able to start to relax because I truly know he is living in a place where he is really cared for - and cared about. I would not hesitate to recommend Trevarna to anyone who is seeking a first-class care home that is expert in caring for people with a complex diagnosis

We have been delighted with the standard of care provided for our family member. The staff at the home in St Austell are very understanding, kind and hard working. My mother-in-law always looks well presented, her room is clean and tidy and all her needs are catered for. She seems happy and settled at Trevarna.

My father in law has been in Trevarna since before Christmas and he recently died.
I cannot thank the staff at Trevarna enough for the kindness and compassion that they showed him and the family.
They treated him with the utmost dignity and respect right up to the end of his life and they kept us informed of his condition whenever we could not visit.
It is very obvious that everyone cares about their residents.

Thank you for everything you have done.

TheTrevana CareHome has proved to be a very professional, well run, caring establishment for my dear friend who has improved in well-being in only a few weeks. The building is spotlessly clean, well organised and has very caring, experienced staff, who show such kindness to the residents. I won't hesitate to recommend it.

My husband's vascular dementia developed rapidly since Christmas 2017. Following a months respite care in another care home my husband was transferred to Trevarna for permanent residential care as we could no longer cope at home. I was anxious and upset at the decision though aware that is was the right one, but the staff at Trevarna made the transfer as easy as possible and cared for us both from the outset.

My husband has settled into his new environment and has laughed for the first time in months. The professional care is exemplary, the involvement with and kindness to residents by all the staff is amazing and although I still weep for what we have lost I know that if I need to talk or simply need a hug someone will be there for me as well as for my husband.
