It is the first time that I have visited the home and was very impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and management. I have been in many care homes over the years with my parents and others and Trevarna, I felt, was very friendly and comfortable. It is not easy being a carer as it is not very well paid and is physically demanding and it should be very much higher up in the general pecking order and career choice and salary. I wish them well.

My mom is well looked after but staff can be busy at times and care can be affected.
Whenever I call (as I live 250 miles away), I am updated of any issues.

The staff are friendly and seem to enjoy their roles.

A lovely, friendly and compassionate home where residents are treated with love, respect and dignity. Very supportive to relatives also.
I can visit my husband at any time of day with our dog as very dog-friendly.

Cannot rate this home. Highly enough.

My mum is in Trevarna Care Home and she gets all the care and support at high level standards.
I am so pleased and grateful to the staff and management for all their hard work looking after Mum.
They keep me informed with what I need to know.
Mum's needed a lot of nursing lately and I can't thank them enough for the attention she has received, e.g. phoning me and paramedics when needed.

Also, management are also brilliant, on the ball and available to meet me when requested.

I have found the home to be very well organised. The carers are without exception warm and thoughtful. The staff are sensitive to my parents needs ensuring they do not only have their basic requirements met but also enhancing their quality of life whilst living there. They are always ready to listen and resolve a problem.

The entire team management, reception, catering, carers and maintenance work extremely hard to make it a lovely home for residents.

I would like to commend the management and staff for their kindness, compassion and professionalism whilst looking after my father and our family. The staff all greet you with a smile and cheerful manner and really understand the stress families go through when a relative has to go into care. Thank you to everyone.

I am extremely pleased with the improvement in my father's condition that has taken place since he became a resident at Trevarna in July 2016. He has received excellent care from kind, compassionate and expert staff on the Bluebell and Primrose wings and he has benefited immensley. He is alert happy and able to engage with staff and his visitors. I am also very grateful for the kindness and support the staff show towards my mother who visits almost every day. They have made her feel confident that her husband of 64 years is being well cared for sufficiently to all her to leave him for a week while she attended her grandson's wedding. We both feel very lucky that my father has a place at Trevarna.

The staff at Trevarna are warm, helpful and compassionate. They are cheerful and welcoming when I visit or call on the telephone. My Dad is happy and contented and Trevarna has become his home. He and our family have always been treated with sensitivity, respect and dignity and the staff have taken considerable time with all of us to offer support and discuss his complex needs. My sister and I live overseas and we appreciate the support all the staff have given to my mum and my dad as unfortunately, we can't be there all the time. Thank you to all the staff for all that you do for us!

On arrival every time I've visited my nan, all staff members have greeted me, offered me a drink and even walked me down to find her. I was in Trevarna recently for over 2 hours and saw different carers, all came over and interacted with my nan whilst I was there which was lovely. We sat in the garden which was maintained well and secure for all residents. The garden could have more outdoor seating and maybe even a water feature (pond was empty). Overall this care home is wonderful, the staff are so kind and friendly. Thank you for all that you do for the residents.

It was a very difficult decision for all the family to put mum into a home but I can honestly say the staff from Trevarna are so wonderful not only to my mum but to the whole family. Nothing is ever too much trouble to them. It's such a stressful and sad time for us all but knowing mum is being cared for so well is fantastic.

My husband was admitted wish dementia and was made to feel safe and welcome. His ward is a happy ward in which the staff were busy but happy too. Someone always knew where each patient was and what they were doing. The atmosphere was always one of the someone being in charge but relaxed at the same time.

My partner transferred to Trevarna from a care home because of his dementia. Sadly he passed away in June but the care he had was second to none. He developed pneumonia and when we were told in hospital there was no hope he was welcomed back to the home. We were with him 24/7 until he left us. Nothing was too much trouble. We were fed and watered and really looked after. He made quite an impression in his few short weeks there, with staff popping in all times, even on their days off. Even a couple of residents used to come in. I cannot praise the staff highly enough and would recommend this home to all.
