All the Carers, Domestic staff, Kitchen staff, Activity staff, Senior care staff and the Business Manager all treated my relation and her family with care and consideration especially in the last weeks of life. The Management (including the current team) left a lot to be desired, they were never seen outside their office spending their time no doubt on paperwork. They did not have the common courtesy to relay their condolences even though they walked straight past us.

The staff work so hard and for that, we are extremely grateful. It is just a shame that there is low morale due to the fact no appreciation is shown.

The staff treated us all with dignity and respect and I would like to thank those members of staff.

Reply from A Icely-Brown, Home Manager at Cadogan Court

Firstly, the entire team at Cadogan Court offer sincere condolences to the family of the resident who had been happy with us for many years. During the final days of the resident's life, the family wishes for privacy were respected and when they wanted to speak with any member of the management...

Mum has now been in Cadogan Court for 12 months. The care she is receiving is excellent. The rooms are spacious with plenty of storage and en-suite toilet.
Mum has dementia so sometimes can be difficult but the staff are so patient and caring.

The whole family are happy that we chose this home as we know that Mum is in a safe environment.

My mother has only been at Cadogan Court since February but is now so happy.
With encouragement, she is now doing crafts that she had not tried for years.

She now has rosy cheeks again and is wearing her smile once more.

Our Dad has been at Cadogan Court since February 2017 so approaching 7 months now. It's fair to say that he wasn't over joyed at having to move into a care home but his personal circumstances meant that he had no option. Dad won't come out of his room much (his choice) but the carers who he has made friends with totally respect his wishes. He is very comfortable and is cared for well. He is allowed to do what he wants and the nursing care that he also requires is excellent. He prefers not to be disturbed within certain hours and all of the staff respect that. He also enjoys a small tipple and is allowed that also! Dad has his own personal effects with his to make him feel more comfortable and also is allowed to keep his mobility scooter with his to maintain some independence although he doesn't use it too much - nonetheless, its there for him which is important to him. All in all, this is a lovely home and doesn't have that odour that many care homes have which is refreshing.

An excellent establishment, clean with no odour. Excellent caring staff with the odd exception. Management particularly the business manager are doing an excellent job and keeping relatives and residents informed of developments in the home. There is resident input of residents in the appointment of staff and participation in various committees eg. health and safety. Very good entertainment and activities tailored to the needs of the residents.

My mother is cared for in every way with care, respect and professionalism. A room with her own bathroom and able to have her own things and pictures around her. The food is brilliant, and even when necessary to be served in her room, piping hot plates and food. I would thoroughly recommend Cadogan court.

Since my mum came here a year ago the entire staff have been exemplary. She has been treated kindly, lovingly and with respect at all times. Her room is kept clean and the food is good. I have no worries at all about the care here, every time I come in I am greeted warmly and as part of the community. Absolutely would recommend.
