Overall, for the short time our dad was in the home we would rate it good with room for improvement.

Dad went into Greenslades Nursing Home after a five-week stay in the hospital. I don't think the staff really understood how ill Dad was (he stayed 11 days before passing away). They tried to get him involved and would sit him in the day room where we made it clear he wanted to be in his room with his TV in peace and quiet and in the knowledge that he could call for help if needed. Making Dad sit in the day room for hours when cancer spread to his spine was not good. After a meeting with the manager, things definitely improved. And thankfully his last few days were almost pain-free and Dad passed with dignity.

Our mum was only with you a few days, but when we visited staff very friendly and explained all we needed to know. Room was a good size and on her last day, the sun was shining into her room which she would have liked. We were very happy with the care she received.

The staff gave good care at all times to my husband. Very hard for them, more staff would be good at times and more money would be good for them.

My mother was in the care of Greenslades for over two years. During this time, she was treated with great kindness and respect by a team of very conscientious carers. I would confidently recommend Greenslades to anyone needing to go into nursing care.

The dining room could really do with an upgrade. The fridge needs replacing it floods the floor and the freezer has no front. The cupboard and doors are peeling and need upgrading. I can't tell you how many times the lift has been broken down.

All the staff are wonderful but need to see improvements from whoever holds the purse strings.

Thank you for your lovely comments about our team here and for your recommendation. I am pleased to say the fridge has already been replaced and we will shortly be redecorating the dining room.

In addition to the refurbishment works that have already been carried out across the home in recent...

The care provided by Greenslades Nursing Home for my husband was of a very high standard. We were recommended to the home by friends whose mother had been a resident. The staff were very caring from every department, from the management to the cleaners and laundry staff, to my husband and our family at all times. I would happily recommend the home to anyone.

I am familiar with this home as my brother was also cared for here for appropriately 2 years. It is a pleasant spacious environment with options for sitting privately in a residents room, the lounges, sun room and gardens. Staff are caring and attentive and I have never witnessed any inappropriate behaviour. Since new management took over some staff have left but not to any detriment as far as I can see. Access for visiting and parking is sufficient and the river with cafes and much to see is lovely, Dr is assigned to Greenslades, visits regularly and is excellent. Staff here do a difficult job well and I feel assured that my partner is safe and well cared for.

I started off in care when I was 19, looking after my father and decided this was what I wanted to do for a career as I wanted to make a difference.

I have worked my way through all roles in all different sectors of social care to get to where I am now. I have been in management for 10 years now and I wouldn’t change a thing.

Care is my life and passion and I love learning something new every day. I am honoured that I can say that I truly love what I do and I am privileged and lucky to have a career with a company that shares the same passion.
